This guy gets it. I don't care if Tearlaments ends up being the most represented deck so long as you can still reasonably play against it. Don't necessarily agree with this prediction though, its way too conservative. Our banlists are much more few and far between compared to the OCG, so it needs to be bigger to compensate. On top of all that in your video, we should ban Scythe, ban Winda, hit the Ishizu package harder across the board (I've seen Joshua Schmidt argue that all the Ishizu cards need to be put to 1), and then tack on hits for Spright (limit Elf, limit Blue), Runick (ban Hugin), and Albaz (ban Expulsion, limit Opening). That should bring powercreep down enough so that other decks (Dogmatikas, Drytron, Thereon/Adventure, Sky Strikers, etc.) can finally compete again at a higher level.
Hitting every other deck along with tear only leaves tear still as the best deck, same as in the ocg they have more variety since the banlist. But Tear still the best deck so it would leave us somewhere similar.
I think the reason for hesitation of Infernity Archfiend is due to how strong the end board is. While we do have lots of way to stop the deck cold in its track, the fact remains once they pop off unless you have Lava Golem or drew all 5 pieces of Exodia its 95% in their favor.
Kitkallos (and other Tearlament card and in fact all cards that released last year) will not be banned in this Banlist since there's not even a Reprint of it and they have to sell it. Not to mention that Tearlaments would likely be power crept (with Series 12 is on the Horizon, it more likely that we get more stronger decks than Tear) before year's end
They just released an unlimited run through Note: I hope they don’t make a deck stronger than tear because it would be 2 tier 0 formats in a very short period of time and doing the powercreep equivalent of hyperinflation does nothing to make money because you can’t sell anything but those decks or the counters
Bystial it's not possible for him to face hit because he's barely out and it's one of the rare ways to counter precisely the most dangerous third 0 Tiaraments, at best if the third 0 decks don't get hit more that there will inevitably be returns from other Tier 1 decks. Kashtira is also too recent to be touched without counting the supports to come in a month. you shouldn't think that you have players either, you should also think like Konami and the money it makes from them. given that cache tira will become a super tier 0, and that the cards are already very expensive your question and that they will become even more so with the next ones it is impossible that he will be touched on the next banlist of next March (at least not right away) We'll know more after the next YCS next February but I'd be surprised if it gets hit right after.
0 chance konami hits any card that costs over 20 dollars before they reprint it at least once. The TCG gives 0 fucks about game balance they want that paper lol
They likely won't ban kit (yet,) tcg side, and the scheiren hit does nothing. The only fusion trigger that should be hit is havnis (or merrli if they want to cut off spright engine access). Barrier statue, dimension shifter at 0. Perlereino, havnis, kitkallos, magnamhut, keldo, mudora, kelbek, agido, spright starter to 1. Kit to 1 matters a LOT post photon hypernova. You need to either ban keldo and mudora, or limit ALL of the ishizu monsters to check that engine. That is the ocg's greatest mistake over the past 2 lists. Fenrir won't be touched yet. Eventually all 4 level 6 bystials will have to be limited TCG side.
Another good thing to put into forbidden to Tearlament would be Merrli making access to fusions just a LITTLE bit harder due to no longer having ease of access to sprind and elf. But as we've seen in the OCG, none of the hits you do matter, it will always stay as is. but yeah expect the game to remain relatively unplayable for ages due to profits > a healthy game.
Just put Kitkallos at 1 and Ban Instant Fusion, I play the Field spell and I barely pop with it or it gets destroy right away, I agree with Magna at 1 it is to good and the Ishizu cards at 1 or 2 as well as Fenrir.
You only need one kit and even ban instant fusion won’t do anything they can mill without it they need to ban kit and havis limit kelbeck and algido cause they mill like crazy
I agree with the tear stuff and the statue. Ishizu feels like it's too soon to limit, MAYBE they can hit 1 card. I can't see then dropping magnamhut and fenrir to 1 especially since we're getting all the other kashtira stuff and a new bystial next
@Stackz Gaming Lucky they can still function with 1 kitkalos imo, but things like ghost reaper and especially Kashtira will be tough since they can just get rid of it while it's still in the extra deck
@Jose G kashtira will be the main deck if kitkalos gets slapped which I'm sure is to occur. If the deck gets hit by the above, then the deck dies for sure. Kashtira will reign and who knows what else. With 1 kitkalos, the deck will still do damage and that is concerning. But let's see what the upcoming list will do
I would be sad to see instant fusion go. It's so integral to rogue strategies like predaplants and even beetroopers now. But I do think floowandereeze should lose barrier statue,no other hits like how MD destroyed their consistency. And maybe some branded hits before the next 15 branded support cards get here but prob not
i feel like raize being a winged beast is part of a problem that yugioh has been ignoring since conception; it lacks a monster typing that corresponds to the wind elemental that isnt a bird, like we have thunder/pyro/aqua/rock for thunder/fire/water/earth elements but when it comes to monsters that revolve around wind but arent "birds" they default to winged beast or psychic types if not dragon/insect/fairy and sometimes that get tossed towards thunder instead, like winged beast in japanese is in fact called bird beast which makes the error even more glaring another example where an actual wind type should exist but doesnt is in gate guardian, its components is obviously based off of the 3 chinese gods of wind, thunder and rain with sanga and suijin properly being thunder and aqua type respectively but then kazejin is spellcaster... i really think yugioh should add an actual wind related type into the game just to round things off

Konami will never ever Limit Kashtira Cards this or the next bannlist. They did not see any play until now. So a preventive bann or limitation is unlikely. Plus Konami would limit their own option of reprinting good cards and why should they do such thing ? In my book they may touch the kashtira archtype in Octobere this year, maybe next year, but i can not imagine this winter / spring or summer

Also for a fun pick to banned is royal decree Then hit Rivalry Skill drain Summon limit There Can be only One Just the Floodgates. And Probably things like Super Poly and Dark Ruler No more
I'd also add Kashtira Unicorn to the list if I could but the Kashtira cards are new product and Konami is a business first and a gaming company second. As a Yugiboomer who's been playing this game since the days of Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon and Metal Raiders I do sometimes have to sit back in awe at how powerful and to some degree how degenerate some of these decks are. The powercreep for this game is getting out of hand and it's a shame. Also as someone who has a Hero deck as one of my competitive decks, I'll always hold out hope that we'll get Malicious to 3 someday again but I know that's just Hopium 😆

fenrir being banned around the release of photon hypernova would be the worst bussiness move made proabably.
