Your video is exactly same as the SCD Type - 2 explanation in the Course: Azure Data Factory: Hands On practical course (DP-200) in Udemy. Maybe you have gone through the same but honestly your explanation is much better (especially when it comes to the Key column Filtering Concept to update existing records). You are much precise and point-to-point So, Thanks a lot!
There is one issue I feel in this implementation. If we try to load same record file without any changes multiple times it will go and add new active entries and will mark old entries as 0. So the total record count of the sink table will increase with complete set of existing records less than Maxkey value. Secondly you can execute the sink activity in sequence which will eliminate the requirement of Maxkey value logic to track the updatable records.
please upload the entire ETL or ELT process in azure data factory by some source(FTP files). really good content. please explain the process so that we easily understand
there's a problem. If a row is not changed, it will be still inserted into target with active flag of 1, and in the mean time, the same row will be updated with active flag of zero. So a filter of changed rows needs to be placed. thanks.
Hello, thanks for this it was a good explanation. I have a question though, where is the part where the Employee_SID is created? thanks more power to you
