NO --That's when Morton CLAIMED to have written it, but he used to lie about the dates of his compositions to push them back further in time to support his claim that he single-handedly invented jazz. He was born in 1890, so in 1905 he was 15 years old. He used to lie about his age and date of birth as well, to push them back so it would look more believable that he could have been old enough to have invented jazz.
Dates don't concern me. The rendition is second to none. May the ragtime piano live on forever!!
