So this feels like they wanted to refresh Get to Work but their ideas would've been too expensive for a refresh or even a game pack so they threw in a few skills and called it a day
EA really should have called this Tattoos & Business

@@DawnofNerdlife See i like that orginaly but it is mostly business. It giving for rent and get to work had a child, maybe a bit of Uni too. Tattoos are the big center stage moment. Pottery and Sweet making is the openers. I would have actually named it creatively like Make your Mark.
It's too bad they didn't give us an option to have salons! Would've been the perfect addition for this EP because giving NPCs makeovers would be so much fun!!! I always loved the stylist career in Sims 3, they need to bring that back or add to the one that's already in game.
@RedRoseSeptember22 They really could plan out all these packs better. But they won't this is EA it is designed so you have to buy more packs to get the gameplay you want
I do like this pack but it is not a hobbies pack. If it works like it is supposed to then it will be a fun addition to the game.
I usually dont defend EA, but maybe they added pottery as a skill for kids? Also, the tattoo designs were on canvases, so maybe there has been an update to painting as well. I can see some other possibilities of hobby gameplay that might be in the game but not in this short trailer
@@YanaBanaVlogsNote a hobby is not just an activity, skill, or thing you do or a thing you do for profit. A hobby is something you do for enjoyment/fun/pleasure. This is not a hobbies pack, its a business pack with some new skills. Which is cool, but the name is gonna diaappoint anyone looking for ‘freetime’ vibes.
I don't think they should have used the words hobbies it feels very false advertising
Should have just named it small businesses; I don't know why they added hobbies, like it was truly a bigger part of the pack. 😭

Kept waiting for the trailer to show more hobbies aside from pottery but of course in usual sims 4 style there were none
It feels more like a Norse town than something inspired by Amsterdam. From a Dutch perspective. I’ve been to Bergen and it feels more like that
its definitely nordic- In Danish, gammell is used to mean "old" and vik is often used in Iceland for "town"
@@karenandersen5589 Yeah, that was my first impression too. "Gammel" definitely means something else -- not nearly as positive -- in German (and probably Dutch) as well 🤣
The birthday cake tends to be a for ages. That's at least what it is for clubs. Also I think that hand over of the buisness was them passing it down to their kid that was with them.
The business aspect is cool, but the hobbies aspect is really disappointing. I like the pottery hobby, but I expected 3-5 more hobbies.
I was sadly underwhelmed. Technically tattoos are more a business, with pottery being the only hobby. One hobby?? Really? 😐 Its like they just took parts of For Rent, Get to Work, and Spa Day and tossed them together. I do like the new lot trait, but don't think I want to spend $40 for that. 😔
I hope we get the couple, their kid, and the main guy getting tattoos. They all look so interesting.
I might make someone steal the husband because he's fine :P

The website says there will be 2 new skills. I guess candy making isn’t going to be a skill. Skills aren’t hobbies i guess, but i was expecting a lot of new skills and functional items related to a bunch of new hobbies.
There is more you can create your own stuff it more for you search your imaginations
At this point I am in favor for a sims 5. the sims 4 is so lacking in its core gameplay mechanics, the technical limits with the small neighborhoods and the overall technical base seems like we will be stuck with the same issues for ever. I am more excited by sims 1 and 2 then the sims 4 ever could
This…I wasn’t looking forward to InZoi at first but just being a base new engine they have the ability to go so far.

I liked the trailer so much that I pre-ordered the pack. I'm sure it will have its share of bugs and simmers will complain about what's broken, not included, and/or the price for what we get. The usual stuff. Have a great day.

I know the tattoo and pottery couple will have a crap ton of babies in my game lol XD or they'll break up and remarry a bunch as all the other neighbors do lmfao. :P MC command center can make it pretty wild!

also i preordered it already, mostly cause i wanted the bonus items (its giving those special edition expansion packs for the sims 3 that comes with the extra content like the plants vs zombies peashooter that shoots the zombies away for supernatural, or the freeze pod for into the future.)

Disappointed with the hobbies part. Surprised by the business. Still scared about the limitations they will put to make it balanced with get to work retail system. I hope we are not forced to use specific objects. I see a check in object unfortunately. I wish we didn't need one. Hopefully there is a old school looking one.
If I don't get a sewing machine in this back I hope that next stuff or game pack will.

No tailoring in sight. Could the restorations workshop kit be clothes related? I am not a native English speaker. Here it can mean clothing repairs. I don't see them making a gameplay kit tho. I hope somewhere there is a tailoring gameplay. I was hoping for a sewing machine.
There were references to tailors so I feel sewing must be coming somewhere. Maybe it is the restoration kit. That would be disappointing to be honest because it would be essentially clutter.
I have wanted the ticket michine to run any lot for 5 years now, no matter what this is a big win foe me, i will be in build mode for months

The english title is very misleading. In German it's more like from hobby to business. I think it's a little bit more obvious that the key feature is making a business out of existing hobbies🤔
There are aspects to this pack that I find appealing, but I wish they would stop creating packs that are additions to what we already have.
Yeah where are the hobbies. On first look I was looking forwards to it, but on rewatching it there's really no hobbies. I'm honestly not interested in tattoos or pottery.
Scrapbooking, journaling, birdwatching, tinkering, dungeons and dragons or something, sewing clothes, dancing... Tattoos and pots is fine..as a game pack.
I think they will argue less lots because they all double up 😢
Yep it was underwhelming but I expected nothing more from the sims 4 to be honest. They only added 3 new hobbies for a hobby EXPANSION pack. I guess the less they have the less it will break the game and less bugs 🤷🏿♀️😆.
Seems like the usual bait and switch; pack refresh behind a paywall. This is probably why the company is losing so much revenue 😅 also, things they should have done the first time around but neglected to do so.
The teaser showed more than usual so I'm hopeful there is more content. I also am annoyed that people keep saying 2 hobbies when it's 3+ (tattoo artist, pottery, candy making).

Tattooing isn’t really a hobby. But if Sims devs want to make it so in the sims world I guess it’s allowed. I wish they kept “hobbies” out of the title. It’s causing a lot of confusion and disappointment if that’s all there is.
I respectfully disagree. Ask any tattoo artist, and they will tell you its a career, not a hobby. The waffle iron, popcorn machine, pizza oven, etc, are not hobby items imho, same with candy machine.
So, this is a game pack, right?
