I met the guy driving around with "the maglite truck" in 1982. I have owned aa, aaa, c, and d size lights.
I'm returning to the flashlight of my military and Boy Scout life, the venerable Fulton.
I am beyond the tacti-cool age. My vehicle is the VA medivan, and my travels prohibit my possible EDC because all the doctors are gun free zones.
So the only dangers are hurricanes, and a Fulton will do. The bulbs are less expensive, and since the time of design was far before alkaline batteries were on the shelves, it was designed for the old heavy duty carbon zinc batteries.And if necessary, it can still raise quite a welt.

how many inches long is that longest chrome flashlight? and what are the brands of the chrome flashlights?

I will have to measure it, but it's around the same as the 6D Mag. Some of them are unknown and lost in time, but most of them are Tiger Head or Panda, which were made in China using older designs from Eveready etc. right up until the 90s I believe. I've been collecting old stock of these and have them listed on eBay

@@19jacobob93 i just bought a 1960s Eveready captain 17 inch chrome 6 D made in New York New York. i also have a 6 D Maglite and converting it to 8 D with a 5 inch tube extension.
