One of my favorite ballantine jingles from then. Still looking for the baseball one with the same jingle that starts after the player slides home and the catcher and umpire start arguing the call. (I think the catcher was or looked like elston howard)
Might check out Ira Gallen's website "tvdays.com". Not sure what he's offering nowdays, but I bought a ton of old VHS commercial compilations of his back in the 1980s-90s under his label "Video Resources New York Inc". Now I think he's selling only DVD sets (naturally). I know he's still offering compilations of vintage commercials, but not sure where Ballantine Beer ones might be on (might be able to contact him thru the site and ask if he still has this commercial on any DVD -- this guy is a total expert on "mid-Century" commercials, products and toys!) One of the old VHS I bought years ago was called "Rhapsody in Brew" and did have several Ballantine Beer commercials from the "You Get a Smile Every Time with a Ballantine" campaign -- including the baseball one you're talking about. The song mixed brief snippets of a jaunty "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" with the Ballantine jingle. This tape also had this particular carousel/amusement park commercial, and the one at the beach where they're using a Ballantine metal tray like a Frisbee. Also had the classic "Tote'm Home Plenty" commercial with the Ballantine Totem Pole and the stop-action animation of beer bottles, cans, and six-packs wearing Indian feathered headdresses, coming out of a teepee, and dancing around. "One cold, two cold, three cold Ballantine. Tote'm home plenty -- ice cold Ballantine! You get big bright smile every time. Tote'm home plenty, and smile!" (Don't know if anyone's posted THAT commercial yet on UA-cam, but it's my all-time favorite beer commercial). "Rhapsody in Brew" had a pretty good "cross-section" of other beers, such as Hamms, Pabst, Falstaff, Budweiser, Ballantine, Gunther, etc. Also the classic commercial introducing the Reynolds Aluminum Tapper: "Ah, draft beer... fresh from the tap. Now with Reynolds Aluminum Tapper, you can have draft beer right at home." Jingle: "Now Reynolds Aluminum Tapper is here. You'll love the Tapper with real draft beer. Draw from the Tapper your favorite brand. It's great to have a glass of draft on hand." Ends with voice over saying "Now enjoy Hamms draft beer on tap. Hamm Beer on tap in Tapper". (Another all-time classic beer commercial and jingle!).
The Ballantine ad that I remember most vividly featured a male and female chorus (Ray Connif, perhaps?) singing "You take a ring, and then another ring, and then another ring, and you've got three rings, Ballantine". This was circa late 60's. The ad also featured simple animated graphics.
Stan Sawyer is the announcer. This ad probably appeared around 1961, when Ballantine was one of the sponsors of "SING ALONG WITH MITCH" (the choral group sounds a lot like "Mitch Miller's Sing-Along Gang").
No idea nowadays... can't find any Ballantine where I live. Back in the day, they had their standard beer, their "Light Lager" beer ("LL" on the label), and their ale.

I’ll agree with you. Catchy.
A smile every time.
Thanks for posting this! My dad worked at Ballantine for close to 30 years. Great trip down memory lane!
this blows me away. great one my friend. yours Earl
"won't fill you up, won't let you down" sounds awfully familiar...
Today, Pabst markets Ballantine Ale only {Miller does the brewing for them}.....
Gone by the mid-sixties, and right after they had Mel Allen fired. Like it was his fault.

How'd those glasses manage to ride the rides without spilling a drop?
CALLS FOR PLENTY OF BALLANTINE
A great commercial from a nicer, more innocent time.
I know Balantine made an ale but I have never seen Balantine "beer" sold anywhere. I wonder if they still make it? I would love to try it

no designated driver and no seat belts...ahh, the 60s
