11:40 Abdel etb is one ability, improtantly reads "until it leaves". So if it is removed before the ability resolves - nothing is exiled at all. Unlike worldgorger, with 2 separate abilities, which you can blow out. Which is why the card is a nice upgrade, and also why wizards stopped doing those 2 part exile / return things and now all the new ones say "until this leaves".
I admittedly haven't played this card and in general we haven't really played it much in the play group and I think "white WGD" just got stuck in people's head. Even though I was watching the game while it was being played no one really bothered to double check the wording when it was played. Overall, Adam losing the Dockside likely didn't change too much (it might have made Jordan just stop the Sevinne's rather than order it the way he did) so I think the outcome of the game is still the same, but definitely good to know for the future
This channel is always so fun to watch, a fresh take a bit far from typical cEDH! Also, there was a small misplay with the Abdel trigger: with how it's templated, if Abdel leaves the battlefield before his ability resolves, the target cards never get exiled in the first place. That works for all the "exiled until ~ leaves the battlefield", but not for older ones like Oblivion ring or WGD that are two separate abilities.
Sevinne flashback only creates a copy as part of the resolution of the spell, not as it's being cast. Most noticeably means 1 counter (or 1 unsubstantiate) on the original stops "both", or even a singular noxious revival stops it fully. Might have been more of a narration misstep, but it's certainly very relevant and misunderstood.
I think it was a combination of a narration mistake and players not fully understanding the card. When I narrate I kind of just read off things so it's very easy to miss situations like that, but I believe Jordan was under the impression that Abdel worked like WGD (this part was the misplay/misunderstanding) and he wanted to separate the counters/bounces in order to get rid of Dockside since he had plenty of counters in hand already so using an extra one wasn't a huge deal.
If the Minsc trigger had resolved correctly, it still could have pointed the 2 damage at Dihada, killing it. Most likely wouldn't have made a difference in the end seeing how things played out, but it would have potentially changed the plays made for several of the players' turns.
This is the reason why I stop playing Heavy Stax with Chainveil Tef. You stop your opponents to win but eventually end up losing because you have Few or 0 hand cards.
am i crazy or has jordan not drawn on remora triggers, been watching his hand since the remora CAME OUT, hes not drawing yet keeps paying the upkeep cost
Was it really a good idea to play tanglewire on turn one, when some players didnt even get to act and you are the person basically losing the most tempo from it?
So glad to have you guys back making content! Sorry it seemed like a pain getting this one out. But it was awesome! Consistently the most unique content out there.

Also animate dead would go to graveyard before Abdel trigger could exile it anyway.
I thought so. I was looking over that a few times trying to figure out what i missed.

I, too, wish I could start my turn by tapping permanents through Tanglewire
Ah, tapping a creature with vigilance to attack... the most classic misplay in all of Magic. 🤪
What a story before this game started and wow, what a game I can’t believe you did that twice.
I love the absolute distain for tangle wire, but I also love playing tangle wire.
I love the fact that you guys gravitate towards off-meta commanders. Its the best kind of cedh for me.
Nice to see yall are back
Just discovered this channel and enjoying it a lot, thanks keep up the good work
That intro had me laughing. Great video. Love the content.
That intro got me 😂
This is a lesson to why you get rid of mystic remora

Nates playmat makes me miss netrunner. I'd totally watch a one off of it being played
That's a dope hoodie.
Where can i get that fire cat playmat? that thing looks sick!

Great gameplay!
Wait, I still have a CRT, there perfect !!
Only plasneswalker commanders sees no Grist, Disgusting
Love seeing Aminatou.
Spoilers:
...too bad I didn't actually get to see her...
Praise be the algorithm praise be the algorithm
It would be awesome to watch you do this again but rule zero where all planeswalkers can be a commander.
That was one bloated fish...
Adam knows there's a Liliana you can out in the CZ, yes?
Technically not a planeswalker commander, though... she's only a commander because her front face is a legendary creature.
Let’s gooooooooo!

Might be a bad time to ask about Oathbreaker?
