Thank you for this film. Lovely to see view of Calstock but (no criticism of your film) but heartbreaking to see the once lovely Bere Alston station in such a mess and the beautiful view of Kit Hill and Cornwall obscured by overgrown bushes and a caravan. It is a great part of the country with an agricultural and mining history, ship building and beaches. Hope you enjoyed the ride as much as I used to going to school 50 years ago.
@@DaveSuperThomas Nooo! Liskeard to Looe is a totally beautiful train journey! I have travelled it many times. I also love the Buckfastleigh to Totnes train following the River Dart.
Lovely video. I travelled this line many times while growing up and living in Plymouth. It has always been one of my favourite branch lines along with the Liskeard to Looe branch in Cornwall. I am retired now and living in Gretna so most of my railway videos are based around Cumbria, Northumberland, and Southern Scotland.
In 2003 I was on holiday at Bere Ferrers station in the coaches there. Which I am pleased to see, are still going, they look after you in style meals are just brilliant. It was a great holiday, and while there we did that train journey to Gunnislake and back, also onto Plymouth, You captured it just as I remember. Will keep a copy to look at again and show the wife, Many Thanks

Great scenery, thanks for the video
Very impressive ride!
Very impressive viaduct - for a Light Railway which formed part of Lt. Col. Holman "Fred" Stephens's ramshackle little empire!
