I was once fed by a korean friend of mine, it was the first time I ever got fed by someone who I wasn’t in a relationship with. I was like “it’s ok I can eat by myself”, she said “let me make a wrap and feed you while you eat the ramen”. So she just kept on making lettuce wraps for me while I ate the ramen myself. It was very sweet and affectionate. It helped me feel like we were getting closer. I learned that when they feed you they either respect you as a friend or they have affections toward you.

I guess it would seem weird to foreigners haha. But the truth is in Asia mustard can rarely be found in any restaurant (including burger restaurants), We usually just have ketchup or any other asian sauces. So if anything looks unfamiliar we usually just smell it to see what it is.
