I just got this video autoplayed?...5 years old...was like wtf is up with the microphone. Damn, your voice has changed...and the quality of your streams, good job man.
I just discovered that if you open that "search for character" panel (i dont remember the right name sorry), its the little button in the lower right corner, if you go to that search and type "strong" you will see a list with all strong characters. Then all you need to do is to set the search for single females of your religion and you will get a list of strong single muslim women. It also work for attractive, genius, any trait you can think.
Excellent. Was looking forward to you playing a Muslim again. I loved the decadence series. The east coast of Africa was redone. That's a much more dynamic area now.
1:17 Karen from accounts department had an empire near the Transcaucasia and Iran region in 867 AD. EPISODE #48 of what Historians will never tell you.
Arumba, you should do a new world conquest as a tribal ruler or something with the Charlemagne, maybe as Charlemagne himself, DLC and the new territory that it added.
Why would people say that World Conquest is impossible as a Muslim? World Conquest as Jain would be fascinating (not ever switching away from Jain), but with Holy Wars being available, snowballing is cake.
Decadence is a big obstacle to many players who don't know of ways to control it or go around it, comparing with other religions many don't think that mechanic offsets the strengths of the religion in a good way (my opinion included, but it's still just an opinion).
Decadence was definitely a huge problem before the patch, but now it's pretty much fixed, no? And the jizya tax is *fantastic*, as Arumba already noticed in this video. You get so rich, so fast. I only played one Muslim game since the patch, starting as a count in Portugal, stopped after having created Hispania and conquered Italy and Aquitaine from the HRE and France. 0% Decadence at that point, and I played with 4 wives from the start. Few people get the decadence trait with the new patch and the ones that do can easily be dealt with.
Hi, you should be careful when choosing wives as Caliph because they start to plot and kill off your other wives kids to move their own kids into the heir position. I found this to be more so than playing as the Tulunid king. It was always the wife or wives with a high intrigue rating. A wife with a content trait is good.
Arumba, here is a challenge you can try in the future. Try to play as a king ( or count and get to king ) but keep all your vassals opinion below 0 ( or just a bit over 0 ) :P I think that would make for a very entertaining series to watch.
I haven't tried yet, but is it maybe possible to join a tiny far away war with "offer to join war" to get the "defending vs. foreigners" bonus? Or does it need to be a war for your land?
The other popular Muslim world conquest start is the Saffarids (Baluchistan), who start with a bunch of event-spawned troops and personal claims on the rest of de jure Baluchistan. The only problem is that expanding into Abbasid territory is a hassle because Muslims have such a tough time declaring war on each other.
Step 1: Find shia province. Step 2: Make capital. Step 3: Convert to local religion. Step 4: Invasion of Mesopotamia. The total cost of the last two steps is 1500 piety, so you definitely want to embrace the Ashari school.
hakairyu1 Oh, excuse me. It was 1000 piety total, because it only costs 500 to switch religion due to capital inside your religious group. It costs 1000 to switch from Sunni to Zoroastrian.
+PeoplePartyG1mao I didn't check (don't have it installed on my current pc) but I'm fairly certain you can choose between the two schools the game offers in any Islamic religion in the game. And either way, what I meant there (I think. It has been a year) was that you wanted to adopt ashari before you converted/immediately so that you could actually obtain the required amount of piety faster.
I'm wondering since almost everything here is ck2, how many nations hasn't he played? fyi, Iove the vids, but these kinda things scratch the back of my head
I wish you could queue decisions to an AI character, like you could arrange marriage then you could do something else and a queue line would pop up notifying which decision will deliver first :)
You flasly said Nestorian was a christian heresy; it has been considered a religion in the game since the Rajas of India patch. You should play them sometime (most of the followers have weak starts).
wow man I really your videos and respect you because your so respectful for all religions and try not to get your own believe in this amm thing game ? idk but I think you get the idea
I'm playing a Muslim game right now and I've embraced Hurufi which is a Shia heracy which works okay because the Sunni don't view me as a Heretic. However, my proximity to Jerusalem and Baghdad allowed me to become the head of my own religion. However I cannot declare a Jihad on the Byzantines, what am I doing wrong?
This isn't a really original comment but muslim word conquest is actually really easy with the current decadence. Just don't give out stuff to your family (unless you want to make it a challenge)
yeah cause he is too op if u wanna play him. Popes are passive as AI probably. They get around 100 gold a month from priests around the world. Go check your pope in your game he probably has 8000 gold XD
I'm doing this as the Byzantines at current. I keep laughing at the whole Truce Breaker concept, and abusing the hell out of the fact I don't care about what Muslims or Pagans think of me for peacing out and immediately declaring the next war on them.
I know this is 2 years ago but why the fuck does the Abbasids have their capital in the middle of the fucking desert ? shouldn't they have it in Baghdad ?
It's a shame that Islamic culture seems to be trapped in the medieval time period in the present but regardless of their backwards beliefs, laws and ideologies, they make a fun religion to play in CK 2
I don't believe that Islam the *religion* has backwards beliefs, laws and ideologies. It is a peaceful religion and its laws and ideologies set a good example for this day and age, imo. Unfortunately, people stray from the original teachings and bend the religion to their own will...
zaigham M It is a bit outdated, it's punishment system is about punishing the act rather than making sure someone doesn't do it again. Plus u know, very little democracy.
+ArtPlays +Youyou Benihoua As-Salamu Aleikum wa Rahmatollahi wa Barakatohu, Akhi Remember that the four righteous khalifa were elected democratically. But if you nevertheless think that Islam leaves now space for democracy, please tell me. I'd like to discuss that with you. Have a nice day :)
***** Well, remember that when Abu Bakr (ra) was elected there, every high ranked Muslim was from one of the Quraish families but they came form the rich clans as well as the poor. And if you look in premedieval times for a truly democratic election that includes all the people you are a bit early. And look, Muawiya, the second Ummaya (after Uthman (ra)) Khalifa, introduced hereditary laws and made it impossible for the Ummah to elect their Khalifa.
"No, we're not going to spend money on our wife. That's silly."
My sides hurt.
I want to see a HRE world conquest, and then it breaking apart after EU4 conversion.
Embraching a school will actually allow you to convert your vassals. It seems to be based on learning, so the Mutazilite always seems best.
Except majority of Sunnis are Asharites so you would be in conflict with majority of Muslims
the arabian empire's du jure borders are huge, you can probably offer vassalization to a most people around you except the kings.
Playing as a muslim, or "Yes, you can have my courtier"-simulator.
The best (landlocked) duchy in the game. Make Bagdad your capital.
"let's barrow some money from Jews and then expel them, get the hell outta here" i freakin' laughed so hard at that xD

Geez again with the great thumb nails! Arumba you should really give your guy a round of applause for us.
FBI be all "Arumba please take a seat we have to ask you a few questions about some videos you uploaded"
Btw as abbasid empires brother you can vassilize many many many land holders in your areas
*Arumba getting on fbi watchlist intensifies*
This should go into EU 4.

piasecznik Haven't played with the new patch yet, guess I'll take a look...

My Arabic skill is quite good, isn't it?
The world conquest record with Rajas of India is 46 years according to the forums.

thank god... or allah for this i've been waiting a long time for this :D
+TheAwikak allah is the arabic term for the one and only god.
Are you Muslim
Nestorian is now a full flegged religion instead of an hereasy, btw as challenge take the only nestorian duke on an island in the indean sea.
Yay a Muslim campaign, btw i love the Arabic writing on the thumbnail ^^
Man I forgot about crappy mic arumba, ah the good old days
Arumba, here is a challenge you can try in the future.

yeah muslim the greatest viva los Sunni
Woohoo!! Great ep, and interesting goal!
I haven't tried yet, but is it maybe possible to join a tiny far away war with "offer to join war" to get the "defending vs. foreigners" bonus? Or does it need to be a war for your land?
I'd switch your capital to a 6 slotted county. Really helps suppress revolts when your personal levy is much larger.

+hakairyu1 can you even embrace the Ash'ari school as a shi'i? Bc historically the Ash'ari School was an exclusively sunni juridical school.
+PeoplePartyG1mao I didn't check (don't have it installed on my current pc) but I'm fairly certain you can choose between the two schools the game offers in any Islamic religion in the game. Can you still pick those schools after the newest pach?
اخيراً, اهلن يا ارومبا
Do al long let's play pleaswe !! :D
You should do the "calphate strikes back" achievement guide
+Marzy Marzland It was my most favourite campaign ever ^^
I'm wondering since almost everything here is ck2, how many nations hasn't he played? fyi, Iove the vids, but these kinda things scratch the back of my head
Maby a good start for world conquest would be bysantine empire cause they can create roman empire and get claims for big part of the map
yay, world conquest!
I like the Tulunids
Arumba: "World Conquest, that shouldnt take too long." luckily you dont approach the real world with that attitude. ;)
Too bad I do
Imagine for a second you get all of the middle east from egypt to Yemen just to start lol i dont have to
Good ole Arumba taking money from Jews and kicking them out immediately afterwards :}D
why when I play as abbasids I can rise only few hundred of levies
but when I observe the bot can rise levies of thousands each province
Good luck on the world conquest but is it really fun to start of as one of the best?
wow you play as my grandfather hhahaha
interesting choice, usually in my games Abassids take over the world even as AI :P
Ouch, you've got kind of a tough start with those traits.
no ironman mode on!
I wish you could queue decisions to an AI character, like you could arrange marriage then you could do something else and a queue line would pop up notifying which decision will deliver first :)
i was there when in that live stream :)
You flasly said Nestorian was a christian heresy; it has been considered a religion in the game since the Rajas of India patch. You should play them sometime (most of the followers have weak starts).
Good gameplay bro :3
how difficult is this game compared to EU4 and is it a easy switch playing from EU4 to CK2?
arie de niet I don't ck2 but from what I've seen they are VERY different games
fuck yeah, love world conquest
wow man I really your videos and respect you because your so respectful for all religions and try not to get your own believe in this amm thing game ? idk but I think you get the idea
This is one i gotta watch :)

Watching Arumba not just strip the duke titles from his low opinion dukes made me sad :/ Why would you go Caliph if not for the Bureaucracy power?
Does 1080p look off to anyone else?
Yeah, the smaller text isn't as clear as it normally is.
UA-cam has changed some things regarding the quality of videos.
Arumba Nestorian is religion not a Hersey
Will you convert this one also?

it was 100000 xD
Abdullah Alrasheed The pope in my game has like 100k gold o.O
what's the difference between this game and eu4?
+Naufal D'Bei this is more about characters EU4 is more about countries and other things
and sorry for my english
Also the time period is different. CK2 is the Medieval ages while EU4 is the Renaissance.
+Marisa Kirisame eu4 is more about the "Modern Era", which is not to be confused with the contemporary times, which are right now
Ohh
Arumba will you restore Arabian empire ?
He is playing as the Arabian empire right now. But it goes by family name instead of Arabia because he is muslim.
I'm doing this as the Byzantines at current. I keep laughing at the whole Truce Breaker concept, and abusing the hell out of the fact I don't care about what Muslims or Pagans think of me for peacing out and immediately declaring the next war on them.
Yay Muslims WC.
allahu akbar
arumba it's called islam and who follow it are called muslims in english
how to play as Muslim
not in ironman mode?
My guess is there will be a lot of speed 5 in this world conquest, and the monthly ironman autosaves are a pain in the ass.
Allahu akbar
I know this is 2 years ago but why the fuck does the Abbasids have their capital in the middle of the fucking desert ? shouldn't they have it in Baghdad ?
black ops In the 769 start their capital is right next to Baghdad, and they try to revoke Damascus to set their capital there very often.
First for my secon time
ALLAHU AKBAR lmao
waffle
