This artist reminds me of Eugene Carrieres self portrait. For whats its worth young man, embrace the uniqueness you have with the brush. To me, it creates curiosity for the viewer. I highly recommend you check out Eugenes work, 19th century french painter. He may be your painting " spirit animal" when you get stuck on a painting maybe look at how he solved it. Fantastic stuff.
I RAN here because every time you show student sketchbooks I think to myself "it's my dream to have my sketchbook reviewed". I thought this would be you announcing a way we could pay to have this done lol If that is something you do or would do, please lmk 🙏🏻❤️ I love your videos, thanks for sharing ❤️
Hello Scott. Respect for your work. Can I talk about the mood? The colours of your work create a very sad mood, very in contrast to the fotograph. I dont know if thats on purpose or by accident. The person in grey looks poor or psychologically damaged. I know that in modern art dark moods and nightmares are trending, maybe thats what you were influenced by? I prefere putting my energy and work into positive work.
