detachment so that you are not exploited- rightly said. Hindus need to understand this secret of our Dharma so that others do not blackmail them into their faiths.
Detachment does not mean not taking action. The way I understand is detaching helps your mind to immediately analyze and find a solution to the problem and take action instead of thinking about what has already happened and wasting time. Also, learning about the problem and how to solve it in the future.
Interesting when uh gave the video games 🎮 conclusion I m freaking addicted to video games so much so that you can’t even comprehend & when I say it I mean it. But the point which the saffron monk means here is not to quit the game switch of the tb and feel detached no any idiot could do that, wanna feel detached gets ur 50% of brain cells removed, that’s not the point of discussion here. He says to be in the intensity of the game but not to get angry or feel low when you looses or die in game but see urself from a 3 person prospective with the joys of winning stages and loosing battles doesn’t affects uh are in a tranquility watching each and every step and enjoying the moment uh are in as a state of observation. This practice alone could open a pathway for more dimensions to open up for uh. True or not “I don’t know" but that’s what monk 🙏🏻 ment there… thank you
I think the western speakers need to give credit and not plagiarize. Sure they can use the ideas..but they've plagiarized for too long while portraying indian philosophies as weird.
no u r not getting the point, detachtment does not work like that, it does not make u a fool, we need to do the duty always meaning if there is fire we will pour water on it, detach would mean it does not affect my inner self, meaning not too much that i can go mad, like keeping control on my thoughts and feelings. that is detachment.. no worldly things can affect my inner soul, that is detachable, but this does not mean we stop our duties, we need to do it but it cannot affect our inner self and make us mad ever.. or lose control of ourselves.
So, what is the source of that secular Sedona method? By the-way detachment doesn’t mean ur not taking any action after the event. Video game and stove fire perhaps u can control to some extent… however there are events beyond u …. no action from u can change it.
He is talking about Vedanta. You can understand Vedanta without knowing anything about the Gods. You can read the Upanishads - there is no need to read any other scriptures.
It is frustrating to you because so far Karma is theory for you but Karma can't be theory . Karma is action & experience, try practicing under noble Guru and experience it, it will unfold every thing before you.
point he raised about coming up with new way or solution from misery or problems is such that, though I firmly believe that routine or discipline or some philosophy like tathastu indeed kills or leave little room for creativity, but the point is if you chase new things (whatever you call it like solution, new way, improvement, evolution etc) you getting yourselves involved in never ending 'maya', there always going to be something better then now like always, someone like janak understand it and follow path of moderation, some follow complete renunciation like shiv, some follow complete involvement more like over indulgence an extreme way like brahma, there nothing wrong with following an extreme path or balanced one, its just that there always some pro and cons of each, a person choose his philosophy according to its nature. So, whenever you listen a philosophy eg. tathastu, try not to find a sort of perfectionism in any of them, there always pro and cons to every way, just look for what suits you.
Thanks so much for doing this reaction 🙏🏽
No problem 😊

Hi Ishika 👋

The Guru has touched the reality of Vedantha! Being a disciple of venerable Dayananda Saraswathi he may touch the chords with westerners!
This Guru is very wise and calm. I really needed this teaching right now.
Loved the chant 🙏🏻
Thanks for finding this video.
