Good cameras for the early 90s at least. This was, however, broadcast sometime after 2006. Hell, this even looks like it fits 90s professional standards in China.
A lot of people forget that the DPRK had a better economy and standard of living than the South in the 60s and 70s and that they still had their shit together in the 80s
@Duffy63 They were 'fine' because they were totally dependent on China and the Soviet Union. But who cares they were doing relatively fine in the '60-'70s economically, it always has been a totalitarian regime with no respect for any human rights. That's more important than economics.
Good Lord what a bad estimate I made. The newest gravestone on this footage is from 2006. At that point they may have been using 20 year old camera equipment at the least.
@@parasatc8183 In the description it is written that it comes from the eighties, and Kim Jong Il looks young. I would have to be an idiot to believe this is from 2006. Even NK is not that backward.

Jong-Il was a big film buff and fancied himself as a director. I bet he offered lots of "on-the-spot guidance" to the professionals.
Full name of this documentary is “빛나는 삶의 품 24 : 영생의 은인”
Kim Jong Il was a huge film buff, so this may have been a passion project for him.
He even had a lot of collections of Hollywood films, his most favorite being James Bond movies
I understand they still run analogue tv on VHF.
From what I understand not really, at least the overseas signals www.lyngsat.com/tvchannels/kp/Korean-Central-TV.html
From 2021, they are changing to DVB-T2 and turning off SD variants of channels, since they got HD for all stations in 2017
where can i find the full video? this HD is amazing...
