Nice tank👍. My gouramis always liked to build their nests in the floating plants. I used to have duckweed on top. They always build their nest in there.
This is very true. Quality is really low, but I'm not sure about the reason behind it. I heard that importing those fish is the problem because they are treated with chemicals and used to different water. And here in Europe they are known to die very fast. So I really want to do some testing, breed them naturally and give away the young if I succeed. But we will have to see if it works.
I’ve had good luck with ordering dwarf guourmis online from flip aquatics. They are located in Ohio. Not sure where you’re located. Distance ship have to travel is a huge factor.
To keep them long term - definitely yes. I'm planning ot move them to 250L tank later. To breed them, it should be ok as long as I observe their aggression and react if things get dangerous for the female.
risky to put them in a tank that small, males can be awfully aggressive. where i live the minimum recommanded is 60l, and even that is really not enough for the females to get away
It's true. I'm observing them and if breeding happens - I will move the female right after. They are not staying here long term, only for breeding. There is a bit of aggression, but nothing dangerous at the moment. I also secured this tank to avoid any jumping.
Any tips on breeding Gourami? Share below! It's all about the fish and their natural behaviours!
This fish tank is absolutely gorgeous! I am inspired 😍😍😍😍
Thank you! I'm glad you like it :D
Nice, it really looks like a jungle. Good job!
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice looking tank! I’m looking forward to the second part :)
You and me both! I hope that it will work, unlike my Ram project tank :P
SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL!! Great job. Looking forward to the follow up.
Thank you! Cheers! Now I just have to wait and see if it works for them :)
Cool set up. I’m excited to see how the breeding goes.
Thank you! I hope it works :)

Thank you! I already included some floating plants in there.
I have complete faith in you!
Thank you! :)
I want to make that to!
Go for it! It's really easy :)
Nice aquarium, dwarf guouramis, for what i've read, are not so easy and to find healthy fishes is not really common due to overbreeding

Isn't that tank borderline small?
