Send the bill to the state police. I'm sure they didn't want to shut down the interstate until the first incident was cleared...to begin with. If it was shut down, this would not have happened. Once a few police depts have to pay to replace fire apparatus and medical bills/funerals for firefighters, MAYBE this crap will stop.
from what I know, no one died but 3 firefighters were injured not sure of there injuries, a minqadale fire company engine was on scene and parked when it was struck by a tractor trailer
I went past this on my way to North Carolina all I could see from my vantage point was a wrecker and all of the ambulances and fire trucks. My wife called as I was passing this going south because she thought I was involved as she knew I would be crossing into Delaware about that time. When I told her the accident was on the northbound side she calmed down. I hope and pray all firefighters were ok I heard there were injuries hopefully none life-threatening.
I don't care what your driving or who you think you are, move over & slow down when you see ANY vehicle on the side of the road. My husband almost got run over trying to get out of our burning truck a few years ago.
All I can say is holy $hit. A miracle no one was killed. Plain sucks it happened. That truck had to have been going to fast for him to hit and flip that truck.
Because every volunteer company has $850K just sitting around doing nothing? You ever had to spec out, order, travel, inspect, travel some more, inspect some more, then outfit a piece of apparatus? It makes buying a house seem like ordering a #2 with fries and Dr. Pepper in the drive thru.
I'd have to guess that if the trucker wasn't killed, at the very least the company he was driving for probably fired him, but I would think his CDL was probably suspended for awhile to say nothing of the fine he'll probably end up paying when it goes to court. Bottom line from what I've read so far, it's clear he wasn't paying attention prior to the collision.
@@JS-zb1vv crap does happen, but a truck driver would get in crap for sure. Could happen to you, could happen to me. If it happens to me and I'm driving a semi, they will throw the book at me, so good reason to be alert.

@@cat740dt My thoughts exactly! It could've been put in service brand new the day before and after seeing this much damage there's no repair shop be it body or mechanical in their right mind that would want to touch it nor would Pierce. This occurred on Fri. 4/15? That was the same day a Lieutenant with Town and Country Fire District in West Salem, OH was laid to rest. 🙏 He and an Ohio State Trooper were struck by a semi at the scene of a minor accident on Interstate 71 that hit the Rescue, the trooper's vehicle and both first responders, who were outside of their vehicles working the accident scene. Amazing to see the amount of damage to this unit and no loss of life, while the damage to the T/C unit was less severe....

All are still getting back to the norm.
All are home on the recoup.

Where's the tractor trailer at , I didn see it in the video ?
Hunter driving the tractor trailer?

Was the truck driver arrested? Distracted driving would be a good guess as to the cause. Yes???
the spotlights most likely blinding his view of any red flashing lights i see it lots.
God bless Brothers first saw it on 6ABC this morning. You Just never know!!!! Prayers to you ALL …
Well that truck driver is not going to get a paycheck for a while, or shouldn't should also lose their CDL for no less than 30 days
That’s one way to get a new truck!

Great video Frank. Hope the firefighters will be ok. That was a nice rescue. 10years old though so it’s probably totaled.
unfortunately it would be totaled regardless of the year. all panels messed up and it looks like the frame took damage as well

This incident was Thursday evening.
I didn't post my footage until Friday because so much was going on.
This is what happens when there is a driver shortage, companies put anyone with a pulse behind the wheel.
No driver shortage. Shortage of drivers who will work for nothing.....Shortage of decent employers.
WOW I HOPE AND PRAY ALL FF'S ARE SAFE!!
That tow truck operator needs to watch some Ron Pratt videos and learn how to roll a vehicle correctly that was half assed
That's what I was thinking Mark. Watching Ron and then someone like this just makes me shake my head.
That is no lie! The way that truck was rigged, nothing to catch it. Just wrong! They should pick lottery numbers! That was just luck!!
