FAST-LC TA Event Road Maps and Road Tests Strategies to Strengthen Your FAST-LC Initiatives

The Families are Stronger Together Learning Community (FAST-LC) hosted a TA event on February 21, 2024, “Road Maps and Road Tests: Strategies to Strengthen Your FAST-LC Initiatives.” The FAST-LC site teams are in the process of designing and implementing new strategies to advance their FAST-LC initiative goals. Drawing on the Learn, Innovate, Improve (LI2) framework introduced at the October Initial Convening, this session introduced site teams to two key strategies to support the design of new strategies and the pilot testing of them. First, this session introduced the concept of a road map for change to guide the design of new strategies, much like a logic model or theory of change but with a focus on implementation. Second, this session introduced the concept of a road test, a small-scale piloting strategy that focuses on short-cycle feedback loops aimed at improving the implementation experience, use, and understanding of a specific strategy. This session featured a practitioner alum from the LASER TANF Learning Community, who shared about their site’s experience with road mapping and road testing.
