Thank you for "SHOWING" us how to use this Brother Machine; I'm doing a duvet cover and needed to learn how to use the button holer. THANK YOU. Love this machine; I had this machine for 5 years and then I found your videos and have been sewing regularly. Big Thank you
I have had this machine for years and have struggled with the buttonholes. I wish I would have thought to check UA-cam before. Thanks for clearing this up. Love the machine and your channel.
Thank you so much for taking the time to record these videos! They are making my life so much easier. I have just purchased this machine, after having a very basic machine. So far I love it and look forward to starting a new project.
Just got this sawing machine last week and I have never sewing before. Your videos helped me a lot! I feel confident now that I can use this machine through your videos! ❤👍
I have three machines, two of which are Brothers and one Viking. I tell my Viking that any day it decides to check out, that a Brother will replace it. I like this one.
What’s the best way to open up the first type of button hole ? Thank you and thank you for the easy to follow video, I got my sewing machine a few years ago because I can’t hand sew as easily anymore and I’m only just figuring out and swapping from the walking foot more recently :)

Hi I am new to sewing and am desperately attempting to make a buttonhole on 2 fused pieces of ultra suede. I used Pellon featherweight 911 iron on and that has worked well to stabilize the material- no bunching or puckering. I've bought every needle to try, Used all my buttonhole settings on my Brother CS6000i as well as the buttonhole foot .What continues to happen is that all I get is a half done buttonhole or a tangle of thread for birds to nest in. I've tried varying the stitch width and length and tried all the buttonhole choices. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.
I hooked the side but over but when I then put the foot down onto the material it comes back out. As it won’t come down far enough to hook on. What am I doing wrong ?
I keep getting en E3 error message and won't let me sew with the button foot, I see that I have it on the same settings as you on here but yeah I'm lost.
Alma Bautista Hi Alma, Sorry I don't remember off the top of my head what the E3 error is. It shows in the back of your book the different error messages. If you are not able to figure it out, please contact your local Brother dealer. Thanks. ~Sara~
I have the same E3 error message on my screen. I have a similar "A" foot, though a bit shorter(it didn't come with my machine) and I wonder if that's the problem?
So I am having issues, the lever that you pull down and attach to foot A is not staying in place when I put the foot down. It keeps sliding off that little plastic hook. Am I doing something wrong?
Hi Sheryl, I don't think you are doing anything wrong. It either holds or it doesn't. I would recommend finding a sewing machine store in your area that does repair. They would be able to tell you if something is broken or just not in the right place. Thanks for watching our videos. ~Sara~
You are not pulling the buttonhole lever down in back far enough. It has to be pulled down as far as it will go. This lever is difficult to see in this video, and so I recommend that you refer to page 31 of the printed manual, or wherever you find buttonhole instructions.

Thank you Sara, The machine is brand new, just unboxed it today and was making all the stiches on fabric. Hmmm maybe I should call Brother?
