    William Dudley Pelley father of American Racial Mysticism born 1890 into poverty.
    Became a reporter and traveled Russia.
    He formed the Silver Legion.
    At the end of 1933 the Legion growth was nothing less than extraordinary.
    By 1936 Pelley was a national figure.
    His message:
    Capitalist Democracy failed but out of its putrid remains is struggling to be born the monstrous offspring, communism.
    The Russian people failed to crush that monster in its womb and suffered terribly.
    I know, i saw it happen. The same is happening here. It's not a struggle for capitalism or communism, but between spiritual values and materialism.

    I have been reading No More Hunger (on the chapter "Taming our Machines" now), and I must say that the relevancy of the book to America's current political and economic situation is astounding. Especially considering it was written during the great depression and edited in the 60's. Pelley's literary skills are impeccable, and seems he has oratory prowess to match.

      I dunno why, but for some reason all fascist leaders in the 1930s (some of these more extremists than fascist) Hitler, Mussolini Tojo, Pelley, and Mosley all had amazing speech skills

    This is the first time I've ever heard a recording of Pelley -- thank you so much. A great writer, he realized that the esoteric flows into exoteric "reality," a fact that escapes so many today. He was a friend of Lon Chaney, Charles Lindbergh, and many other notables; he was no mindless bigot, but came by his "anti-Semitism" honestly, having covered the "Russian" revolution first-hand. Because of his opposition to Communism, FDR pretty much had him "erased." So few know of him now -- how many have even heard of him? But although I wouldn't support everything he said, this was a great man who dared to stand up to the Establishment.

      Real American Fascism could be summed up as: Mandatory Gun ownership and having to earn your right to vote but no one can stop you from earning your right to vote.

    • @jibrilly

      What? He fell into obscurity for his pro-German sympathies, not his anti-communist views. FDR wasn’t even a communist

    • @tyrssen1
      @tyrssen1 4 роки тому +8

      @@jibrilly FDR made a very deliberate and consistent effort to wreck Pelley, and this contributed to limiting Pelley's success. FDR's original vice president, Henry Wallace, was a member of the Communist Party. And I can find very little in his economic proposals to disagree with. His first-hand look at the Communists in Russia naturally put him in the pro-German camp.

    • @tyrssen1
      @tyrssen1 4 роки тому +2

      @Jason Johnson You're right, he was not a member. But the "Progressive Party" is descried as "left wing," which is writerspeak for Red; he was under investigation by the FBI for being a Red; Truman scolded him for making a pro-Soviet speech. And more. Draw your own conclusions.

      You mean the guy that said that white Anglo-Saxon people shouldn't mix with other white people from different national origins like that of Poland,Italy, Spain, or the Balkans because it would destroy the white race. Maybe you could also include his actual war against people like Huey P Long in the 1930's, or his war against civil rights activists Martin Luther King Jr and Huey P Neuton were he actually sent out hit men to kill these people. This guy was a total prick in general besides being a totally regressive asswipe.
