    Fantastic Video! I really enjoyed it with my morning coffee. Love the simplicity of it. Hardtail H-S single Volume and a 3 way toggle. And by the way that neck single coil. Sounds great!!

    @RobChappers the fact youve had a custom guitar made from my old guitar that i sold to Giant guitars is awesome to see 👌

    It looks like an old fishing boat (finish wise) which really appeals to me. Sounds great too. There’s something to be said for simplicity

    Great vid, loving that HS strat, beautiful colour and one of my favourite setups. Interesting about Dave Kilminster teaching little Rob back in the 90s. I owe a lot to Dave K for my own tapping technique. It was his 'Killer Guitar' DVD that helped me get past a lot of hurdles with my playing. Great to see you churn out more videos Rob. Great stuff.

    I own three! My favorite is a Nancy Loft with a P90 at the neck which sounds fatter and richer than any P90 I ever heard. Simply fine instruments made by true craftsmen.

    If i would ever have gotten to the place i could have afforded to would buy 2 Chapman left handed ML3 pro traditionals and mod 1 by probably adding flame maple top, and back, Trans purple finish with zz top billy gibsons style gold pinstripe, David Allen Pickups, Wilkinson tele bridge but with saddles like their vs100 bridge has. , Gold hardware, Baked maple 22 fret neck, sperzel locking tuners, hardware colors mixed gold, Also I would try to see if a gold body, neck and headstock binding or just might go with a white pearloid binding instead, the second guitar would be a candy apple red, with a Dimarzio super 3 bridge, dimarzio fast track 2 neck or a Sugar Chajra, Or satch track in the neck, a original floyd rose tremolo with FU tone updates parts such as titanium sustain block, red titanium saddles (which the rest of the bridge would be black), Red locking nut, black hardware, Black Pearloid body, headstock, neck binding, Replace the maple fretboard with rosewood or ebony, and sperzel locking tuners. That would be houw i would have modded them if i was ever was in the financial position to buy 2 Chapman Left Handed ML3 Pro Traditionals and could afford to have them modded so that is what i would have done.

      @@RobChappers I certainly will do, this is a lot of money for me to spend so some thought will need to go into exactly what I require as far as the aesthetics are concerned but I'm pretty much sold on a single in the neck, bucker in the bridge, one volume type thing.

      @@RobChappers thanks, Rob!!! 😺 I imagine that the resonant tonal qualities would be just a step or two below a strativarius ; I saw a PBS Nova special about them... Fascinating! He made them out of wet seasoned wood... I think he made them in Venice, did he not? Apparently, that had nearly EVERYTHING to do with the tone!... At least, that's the short story 😸! Not unlike the Japanese katanas made with 100-year-old wet seasoned iron... Old ship anchors and such... Hard if not impossible to replicate either of those!!!

    Guitar makers really have the most hilarious gimmicks to sell their instruments... "oh yes, the wood is from the ancient oak table of a Venetian restaurant, caressed by the sea breeze and bits of provolone for over 150 years"
    I can't believe some people are gullible enough to fall for this kind of snake oil when they're buying an *electric* guitar, where the wood is the least important element on the instrument!

    • @the1trueporkchop
      @the1trueporkchop 2 місяці тому +2

      I don’t recall hearing where Chappers or the company claimed the source of this wood made it superior. It’s just where they sourced the wood.
      While I agree that the sound itself may not be affected by the wood quality, I’ll always stand behind the visceral experience of playing an instrument can be affected by the construction materials.
      I have a Mexican fender (HSS) from a special run that used Nitrocellulose finish. It absolutely resonated differently from the Core PRS I had at the time, but if I go record both on the bridge humbucker, there’d be no audible difference.
      When I was in a bind last year, I sold the PRS without hesitation because I preferred everything from the neck to how the body resonated against mine.
      When Chapman says “the guitar gives back to the player, and resonates on all 4 corners of the world”, I believe THAT is what he means. Not that the wood changes the inherent sound.

      "The guitar has such great tone, and the wood vibrates on such an exquisite level that is so pleasing to my perfect ears."
      That's the kind of bullshit these snake oil salesmen peddle to the ignorant masses.
      And most of these idiots take it hook, line and sinker.
