Since gold is 80.3 x heavier than water, I believe I would have suspended the piece of rug in a bucket or tub deep enough to permit it to be shaken or agitated in the water with the idea that any gold would have fallen free. I’ve watch some recent videos of placer gold miners doing it just that way. I bring it up only because I think it would have been easier but as effective. Anyone else out there have similar thoughts?
Anyone who would unsub because you took a chance on making a short video on carpet cleaning needs to stay away. Their feelers are hurt too easily for UA-cam.
If you want next time you have a peace of carpet you can put it in a metal container that has a lid place a small hole on the lid and place the container over a fire it will turn it in to char cloth it's fast and eas
