Peter's voice is a very rare gem, it's in the same league as Daryl Hall, sure it's distinct, and not quite as famous - but bloody incredible all the same.
CusterFlux I agree. I prefer Peter’s voice over Halls’. They’re equally brilliant but in my opinion, Peters’ voice is more powerful. Cheers from the U.S.!!
Katherine Lai I agree too Kathy. Big Hall & Oates fan, but Go West is probably my fav of all time. I thought for sure they would’ve been the “next” Hall & Oates after Wham! split. Unfortunately, I think they took too long to get their 2nd LP out and the “production” from Gary Stevenson was definitely toned down in the mixing. Still love anything they put out though.😁 Also, it’s good to know I’m not the “ONLY” fan of Go West in the states. 😆 Cheers.
A great band in all of its lineups, and Peter and Richard write great songs. How humble Peter is: I don't think I'm a great singer... WHAT? Still miss the late great Alan Murphy, their legendary guitarist who left us in 1989.RIP. Go West Forever.
Totally agree across the board with what you said Eaun. Never really realized how much of a “third member” Alan Murphy was of Go West until You Tube came out and started reading about the group through comments like yours. 🙂 Never heard much about them in the US, and had to raid every “import” vinyl (then CD) bin of every record store in Chicagoland.
@@tonyg2170 Hi Tony, thanks for writing. Google: Murphy's Breeze WMV. It's Alan playing with Paparazzi and it's fabulous stuff. He played it in one take. Beautiful improvisation. Best wishes to you.
These guys always give such fun interviews! They sound like they’ve had an absolute BLAST over the last four decades.

Probably because "American" English it's derived from UK English. I've always wondered this as well.
