Quick tip on how to repair guns with yet again unforgiving mechanic: place slightly damaged parts inside the gun (more than 60% obviously) and then use not the A,B,C kit but cleaning kit (small ones that you use for crafting big repair kits) to maintain the parts. It increases the overall health of the gun and u don’t need to waste a whole repair kit just to make it go to 30%
I'd add to that: Don't just drag repaired parts into the gun, install them at a work bench. It's doesn't consume the repair kit either, but you gain weapon condition instead of losing it

Forgot to mention if you really want to and don't feel like using debug mode you can just save scum and keep opening the stash until it gives you expert tools.
I don't think that works, I tried it. The stash gives you the same items every time, even if you reload the save. I don't know if it's any different if you reload a save which is in a different map, but I think it's more so the case that as soon as you get a stash, it immediately generates the items you'll get in it as well. I'd have to test that.
@@kadrix732Some vanilla Stalker re-generated loot when entering a map. You could try travelling back and forth, but I think someone 'fixed' that in Anomaly or Gamma
won't work. not even reloading to another map, entering and going for the stash. only way is to save before stash pda is received, check the stash and reload enough times until what you want gets spawned.

Great Episode once again. You know the reason that you are getting kudos for ur content is the fact that ur content and ur commentary is spot in. Furthermore you have a really pleasant way of speaking, it basically rounds off the package that you present to the world. There's a mod to add craftable Expert Tools. I did that for my Free Stalker run after no luck on 30+ stashes. I'd say it's crafting requirements makes it G.A.M.M.A friendly imo.
How else are you supposed to get it? Only through stashes?

Hey you can just leave your knife inside your inventory, it still works to loot mutants and "quick knife" and then you can use the binoculars slot for another pistol/smg that fits.

I think doing the 'craft' is fine in this playthrough, since you have so many enemies and getting stashes is really hard as UNISG. I'm opposed to doing it on future playthroughs though.
i love the grind and the slow process of gamma but i also definitely see debug mode as a too i love using it to spawn cars in to jupiter and zaton bc they are so big. so i would say just go for it, i enjoy your content best when u are having fun and obsessing over new weapons

Your playthrough motivated me to start a unisg playthrough myself. What I can tell you from my experience is that you need to use the disguise system to get access to more missions so you can progress faster. I was in the same situation like you're right now until I embraced disguise and started doing missions for loners and everyone else.

Quick tip: For the concrete bath anomaly in jupiter you can use the walk path along th wall behind, you can jump and pull up and walk to directly above the artefacts. It always spawns 2 artefacts.
I ended up switching out my long-time "oh shit" mutant gun (the RAPTR) for a Vector after your last video. It's pretty amazing. Bit of an issue with it taking up a couple of medium size magazine slots in my loadout though.

I really enjoy you showing off different weapons and loadouts. Expert tools would allow you to continue doing that more freely as well.
I just picked up the Deer Hunter and I am loving it. What I’m not loving is ammo prices and cost of making it. Still though, it’s fun for places like Jupiter that have long, clear sightlines.

On stashes. I >hear< stashes marked as “Stash of” have good chances of tools. I have no clue if that’s true, but the first northern stash I checked marked as such had a set of expert tools in it. I don’t want to say that confirms it, but it does make me think it could be true.
Obviously, the people behind Gamma would have to confirm or deny that.
convinced me to do a UNISG playthrough and honestly i really like it so far. having everyone out to murder you to death all the time is the true stalker experience lol
So that place you were researching for the stash is a bloodsucker nest , if you pick up quest for the ecologist in zaton (important character), bloodsuckers will spawn there. Highly recommend to pick up that quest
That underground place you went to in Jupiter is part of a very memorable mission which involved bloodsuckers and from the teaser video of Stalker 2 it kinda looks like they will redo it.
I noticed the latest update for GAMMA no longer gives overall % repair to guns when putting new parts in it from the workshop. That's for the best though and better no more cheesing guns to 100% for me.

Expert Tools rarity sure is something.
I had to go through so many rare stashes in northern areas before it finally dropped.
My run prior to that got it on the first northern rare stash.

i think night raids are the best stalker has to offer. the game should maybe def have a craft for around 10-12 advanced tools turn into expert
also on point of tools grind, I imagine Groks reasoning was to make some space and the spotlight to midgame equipment and guns, which otherwise could be skipped real easy before. You get to see all the hard work put into models/animations and get more varied experience overall

Thats def the coolest looking kit on the m700, although i still prefer the Arcangel model. The 20 round mag insures that no one is left standing before a reload is necessary. It owns so hard with AP, imo the only better sniper is the SVD pmc due to the ammo having such better penetration and also having a mid tier craftable ammo with decent penetration
Every once in a while I glance at your in-game clock and think it's my taskbar clock, then have check my 2nd monitor to verify. This is because I'm one of those that keep my taskbars vertical on the edges between the two screens. I'm at fault here, but you're inadvertently trippin' me out, man! Lol
First time watching, interested why you keep 9x19 and 9x18AP. The only reason I would keep that caliber is if I am heading back to the starter areas and don't want to waste better ammo. Do you think that caliber is even useful against armoured opponents?
Also yes I never thought of content and gameplay aspect on your side and others similar to yours, yeah I suppose that makes sense why you'd want them so much. Maybe you can spawn them in if it becomes too much of a hassle through debug? Something to think about as a very last resort.

The grindiness of getting the expert tools really makes you try out all the guns you otherwise wouldn't.
Like, if you get a good weapon that needs Expert tools to repair with a good barrel, you can repair it without needing to use expert tools, and that'll make you switch up your loadouts. I like it. I wish we could easier repair armors tho...
That said, I'm fine with you crafting Expert tools. It's a single player game, lol
Hey dude, I really recommend you try out wltr's desolation modpack. It's sorta like gamma but with more grounded gameplay and the overhauled gun system is CRAZY

I have a loadout with rd9x39, vector, and P90. It is quite flexible and only lacks an exo killer weapon like a 338 lapua or 12.7 ap. I've found the P90 is rather inefficient in the north especially against sin (mine is unupgraded). Because you can shred armour on repeat hits, the p90 might be easier to run if you use basic ammo, relying on stagger effects, and drill through torso armour or something.

If you want another goal to do you could try sneaking into rostok and accepting the top 10 mission from the guy in the bar where you have to kill the top ten stalkers in the zone
if you want to do artifact playthrough go with either ecologist/military mainly because of the questline they have but ecologist gameplay is mostly pacifistic

Man I don't know how many birds I've tried to kill with buckshot and can never seem to kill. I was starting to believe the only way to harvest them was through emissions killing them.

I commented on the last video? about the tools. I am fine with how they are distributed. I would just love a pity system of some sort because I wasted so many days trying to get expert tools after getting more than 4+ times the drop rate on them and would just like the idea of a pity system or stacking increased drop rate from stashes base on the amount you open.

You know ... I've had an UNISG game where I did not get Basic tools, after having like 5 Advanced, 3 or 4 Expert, countless drug making and gun smithing tools. In the end I decided to take the Vodka, get a disguise and go to Spirit in Yantar to get frickin' basic tools to have at least one Mechanic leveled up. Then I had another game where I had 0 gun smithing tools for like the entire game, and finally Aslan's lottery yielded some. RNG can be a beach, not always sunny.
To break it down: It's a single player game, just spawn them in. Noone will care, and those who do: well, they will always be there, and those are also the people that play with debug mode active permanently anyways.

you can pass over the bridge in zaton by climbing a ladder and walking over the pipes on top of it.
I always get that same game freeze moving from Zaton into Jupiter, except it lasts for like 10 seconds straight

U can just use the alternative way via the smaller boat to get to Nimble. So that u only have to fac 3 stalkers at most

Man, you REALLY don't need expert tools. You already have heavy armor, if you're concerned about rad protection - just get a better gasmask (there is one that requires heavy armor set and has 60% rad reduction). Headshots happen but in the northern areas even helmets sometimes can't save you. You have high-power rifle, you have best shotgun (raptor), you have good selection of small caliber rifles (I stormed CNPP with AP 5,56 and it was fine), you have smgs. I think if you get some artifacts - you'll be golden. You don't have to farm for Nosorog and Spartan helmet every playthrough.
In regard to the expert tools, if it comes to it, I’d say fake like you found them in a stash with a little wink and a nod 😉
every single sin stalker in gamma have a forcefield you have to shoot through until you can hurt them, making a rookie sin as tanky as an exo suit, it makes doing the 2nd main storyline really hard because usually they are weaker or on par with monolith but in gamma they are worse by far. also go for using the debug and getting the expert tools, i personally use the debug mode to bypass certain gamma mechanics that gamma forces onto you so i wouldnt care at all and would still watch regardless.
Yeah, I'd just console command in expert tools at this point, you've definitely put in enough effort trying to find them

It could be neat to make the tools be a part of the main questline for each faction - If I remember correctly, they're part of the quests in call of pripyat! (Or at least you'd get sent to find them, and it wasn't up to chance)
If it was like this, you couldn't get them straight away, but it wouldn't be up to random chance to acquire them :)

9:37 I stoped using 7.62x51 for sniping cuz even in its AP variant, is still not enough to one tap all helmets. Now Im using the 7.62x54 AP. Its easier to find than 7.62x51 and it will one tap any helmet.
do crafting AP rounds require more resources than FMJ/HP?
yes a lot more and obviously the much rarer ap bullet heads. save casings and propellant for the ap and loot/buy the fmjs

I think in some cases it helps actually! It’s also completely viable to play without grass which increases fps quite a bit
Is there a more effective way to increase the chance of getting a specific armor piece from stashes? For example, I want a variant of a certain type of armor from the Duty Faction, so, if I keep doing Duty missions and receive stash coordinates from these missions, will Duty armor pop up more from these stashes?
You could use the armour exchange to get what you want, assuming you're Duty. A spreadsheet with all trades floats around the internet
@@fonesrphunny7242 Yeah, I know that, but as far as I tried it, it always gave me the same variant, which was the basic version of the armor. Is there a chance to get different variants? The ones Im looking for are the forest exosuit from Duty and Woodland Exosuit from Mercs.
Assuming the spreadsheet is still accurate, both can be acquired through the exchange. You might need a disguise, depending on your faction. Otherwise you just have to get lucky with stashes or Duty/Freedom bodies.

@@fonesrphunny7242 Can you share the link of the spreadsheet you have? The one I found on reddit shows only one variant for each class of armor, no matter which variant you give. And I kinda confirmed it jus now, trying to trade it several times.
7:08 I dont think its a smart choice to use the universal weapon cleaning kit for that cuz thats is the only repair kit, apart from the main ones, which can repair parts under 60% condition, while the basic kits can only be used for parts above 60%, they are much cheaper and easy to get than the universal one.
imo they should add some multi-part faction quest for the major factions, maybe put in some larger battles and reward tools for them. Thats one of the biggest downfalls with GAMMA is the quests get very repetitive after awhile.

Hope they make this mod compatible fully with gammas weather cycles, so we have a whole weather system of 4 seasons...and you get to choose the season you start in, ofcourse it will take many game hours for the seasons to change but i honestly think it would be so cool if it was automated...

always replace gun parts inside a workbench, it restores durability whilst dragging parts just in inventory loses durability
