Great video. Often you see videos by people who haven't really mastered what they are trying to show you. Or you who have people who have mastery but have forgotten what it's like to be a beginner and aren't able to adequately share their knowledge. You obviously know Maschine extremely well yet can still recognize where others are likely to get confused. You make me inspired to actually learn how to use that pretty black box I have sitting on my desk.
That’s the idea! Glad to hear it... I’ve been a teacher of this stuff for a long time now... I just never thought I’d be able to help people out on this level here on UA-cam. Highly rewarding!! Thanks for the comments!
Man... same here. Such a simple feature that works extremely well! Don't forget to mess with the Loop Optimize settings in "File-Export Audio"! I forgot to mention that people would want it de-selected when exporting their songs!
Man, ever time I watch your videos my arrogant ass thinks, “yeah I know this sh*t already, why am I watching?”, BUT I ALWAYS LEARN SOMETHING NEW!! Thank you brotha, keep doing what you do for the Maschine community!
The quantification of information in your videos is unfathomable. Its like reading the manual itself in a very understandable way and at the end you're left in a dual dilemma whether to watch another fascinating video of yours or start conceptualizing and putting it into our workflow, if yes then out of a 100 points of information which one to emanate from.
What an absolutely packed video! So many pro tips. Big, big ups! Thank you for your time, and for making this. I'm just getting started on using VST's in Maschine, and this video is probably the best one on all of UA-cam. Huge thanks, Jeff! Stay happy and stay healthy, friend!
Thanks for this one Jef! I just recently bought the V Collection myself (during that deep discount offer) and am absolutely loving it so far. Can’t wait for your more in-depth videos on some of the instruments.
This video hit the spot! I’m waiting for a Maschine Mk3 to be shipped to me from the UK and while waiting I have bought the V-Collection and a Keylab Mkll here in Thailand. You have reassured me that this will be a good combination. The Arturia instruments, especially Pigments, are astonishingly good and easy to use.
Great content Jeff, this is exactly why I subscribed. Basic to more advanced maschine tutorials. Keep em coming👊🏽. Would love to see some jam integration and some tips on proper stem export to daw for mixing or daw integration. Thanks
Hi Jef - could you share some background as to your choice of large screen on wall and how you hooked it up - thanks for your great content I am climbing the learning curve on Maschine and Komplete keyboards so your videos are really helpful. Pete
I have a theory that all the best music UA-camrs are named Jeff or Jef. Thanks for another confirming instance! Enormous help getting me going on Maschine.
Just got V Collection 7 too. Talk about Synchronity ;). It is a very extensive collection. I liked your tutorial to use it from within Maschine. Used it in my latest projects directly. :). I especially liked some pads from the Jupiter8.
Thank you for a good video. It was nice to see that the V Collection works with your Maschine, because that gives me hope... I have Maschine and Komplete S61 and on both controllers I can load and hear the previews, but I get a "cannot load plugin" if I choose one of the sounds". :( Really strange.
@@jefgibbons PC...Win 10... and no, cannot load through the software. No worries... I will contact NI support and see if they can help me, but thank you for replying. :)
this is great. u got a new subscriber. My question is will this same integration (being able to scroll thru 3rd party VSTs on the Maschine) work the same w Logic / Ableton?
Always great videos. I hope you do more on V-Collection and Reason! One day you must do an Ableton Live 10 video. You've taught me a bunch about Cubase, thank you!

Awesome content TY Jef. Since Analog Lab V works as a vst within regular daws, will it work in the same way with Maschine mk3 as is demonstrated here with the V collection?
For sure! Although I prefer loading Arturia’s synths in Maschine by themselves. They’re nks ready which means you get metadata, and most importantly you get previews as you go through the patches. Something that is missing from Analog Lab!
being new to VST's, i just bought the V Collection 7 for my Mac. i noticed that once you install the synths, they are recognized as applications. thinking that these were just going to be like any other programs, i thought it would ask me the location where i would want to download them. my plan was to put all the V Collection sounds on a external HD. there was no option to do that. the specs say it needs 16GB free hard disk space, but once installed i don't see any of the actual sound libraries. the applications didn't really take up that much space either. i can open the synths as a stand alone, or thru Maschine , and they work fine. my question is, where are the actual sounds stored?
If you ever get round to the videos for individual V7 collection instruments, my personal request would be for the vocoder. 11 gb download, no idea how to use it😭
I've been hoping for a Quantize Note Length feature for years. I don't know why this feature request has been ignored all this time. Cubase can do it, so perhaps you could drag & drop from Maschine to Cubase, quantize ends, then drag and drop back to Maschine?
Hey Jeff, I did get the V Collection 8, but I’m having an issue with routing. Trying to use Arturia’s vocoder and being able to record the results into Maschine, I’m kinda lost. Any input from you would be appreciated.
Nice video thx for ther tips :) Maybe you can do a comparison on Sound output by maschine and by cubase. For some reason the Song made only in maschine sounds tigher than the same Stems in cubase
did you get this resolved Steve? im just dealing with this at the moment also, my Maschine MK3 showed all the arturia plugins in Maschine and I could even preview the sounds but when i went to 'load' the synth I got that same message...apparently the NKS information is stored in a folder that was hidden on C/Program Data/arturia . . . the folder is hidden by default in Windows so you need to unhide it. This seems to have worked for me as there is now a 'third party' folder in there for each synth which contains all of the NKS information.
Hello Jef can you please give me the depth of your desk (and your rack) . Actually I need this information if you can tell me because I made myself a brand new home studio. I need a rack up on my desk as you get one to put a focusrite clarett 8 pre. Its a 29,1 cm depth interface audio !!!!! A lot a space :-(
Great video tutorial as always! BTW would you have any idea why I cant load Pigments on maschine mk3? It always said cant load plugin error. Even though I can preview all sounds...
Sorry!! It really is incredible software... but I’d say it’s only increased my desire for the actual hardware!! Now that’s where the wallet starts to hurt....
