Emma, I am a very new beginner!!!!! I have painted acrylics before, but I am in love with the look of watercolors. There are so many watercolor artists on You Tube and they have really amazed me. However, you are a really good teacher. I am a retired elem. teacher, so I appreciate someone who has the ability to explain something so well.
You are very talented and I enjoy learning from you. Thank you for sharing that talent.
I would never have thought you could make a whole beautiful painting with just 1 color! So pretty!
This took me back to my first ever watercolour class and I used paynes grey. Remember being terrified to go as dark as the tutor was saying but I did. Anyway my hubby hung it in his office as he liked it and was offered £500!! Was very chuffed 😀 😊 great reminder of a one colour painting and the inspiration as always emma ❤
Wow !! How amazing !! Congratulations ! 🤗🎉🎉🤗
@@sheilacym didn't sell it it was on lining paper as well! Thank you 😊
This is the type of teaching that makes me love your channel.
Thank you, Emma for your dedication to uploading for us! It means so much to have a constant source of inspiration on this art journey. So many youtubers who build their brand on here, suddenly give up and don't make videos anymore unless it's behind a pay wall which is super frustrating. I understand everyone has a right to make a living that works for them, but it's amazing when these kinds of tips and tutorials are available to those of us who can't spend the extra money at the moment. THANK YOU!
My husband and I are in our late 60s , we just tried painting with you, had a great time.😂
Thank you for this lesson!! Using one color is a great way to see value! I have more of an understanding of it now!
Thanks Emma, I know what I’ll be doing tomorrow! I can’t believe how beautiful this is! Thanks for showing us this great idea!😊
So glad I found you! I just started watercolors this week and looking to be inspired and taught. Thank you so much, your great!
I haven't picked up my paint brush in almost two years! And I have been invited to a paint party next week. So this is a PERFECT video of something I can do without embarrassing myself!
I really enjoyed painting along! I am struggling to learn watercolor, and you are inspiring me. This lesson was very helpful. Thank you so much!
Great idea to do a one-colour landscape! And those dry brush flecks... simple and superb.
This is such a smart way to practice! Thank you for the idea. I love how you added the shadows on the mountain by flicking the brush, cool technique!
Hi Emma, I have just completed this picture. I did it twice because I wasn't happy with the first one. So I did it again immediately and the second one was much better. It was a good practice. Thank you.
Hi Emma, what a lovely painting with only one colour. Thank you for sharing and inspiring us. ❤Helene
A fantastic video Emma, I like beginners videos ❣️🙏🥰
This was a great reminder that art doesn’t necessarily have to be complicated. Thank you Emma!!
this is stunning, love doing art with one colour, such a fun challenge ❤❤❤
This painting is Beautiful Emma, thank you for sharing..
Excellent teaching idea! Thanks, Emma
Thank you.
That was a great video.
Has inspired me to try one-colour again.
That is beautiful and I love the colour. Gorgeous landscape. 😊
I love this! Going to try it with Winsor & Newton's Indigo. Thanks for sharing!
I will be trying this out soon Emma, Thank you for sharing with us some great tips to get the final painting xx
This was so much fun! I have done it twice ... 2nd time I was very pleased with my result ... I think the first go loosened me up a bit :). I want to try some animals: deer, bear, owl ... with 1 color. Maybe black or brown. I learned quite a lot focused on texture and depth vs what color. Your brush guidance was excellent. Thank you for this!
Love this! Can't wait to try this. You always have the best ideas!
Ouuuuu - I would love to see this in Paynes Gray! Thanks Emma!
Thanks Emma 😊❤
I love these products, please do a review on their oily skin line! Thank you!!
Thank you for the valuable tutorial, as I am a total beginner.😊❤
Emma this is beautiful!! I need to do this. I'm so afraid of wasting paper though. I have to waste paper to learn. I just bought some Hahnemuhle paper. I'm going to try this on a piece of this paper. When I use cheap paper it never turns out the same. I have good paints DS so this should turn out great!! Thank you for the inspiration! 😊 JK FLORIDA
Excellent
What a great idea!
Beautiful concept! Thank you. But why are the trees in the front so tiny relative to the trees in the background? Nice greetings
Wonderful lesson in using less to create more! I’m excited to start this process with a different color! Which will it be? Thanks , Karen Dirmish Elmhurst Ill🙋♀️
Saw this and wrote it down, just had the time to watch it. Hope to try it soon. This could work w grey/black, maybe purple. What other subjects would work w/ only 1 color?
C est magique de vous regarder peindre. Splendide. Merci❤❤❤
Thank you!
Thank you 😊
That’s great, I just did a similar painting, I could have done with these tips before I started it. I love it!
Thanks!
Morning Emma. Love this thank you
Very cool 😎 👍
so nice 😍❤
Which blue did you use , as I’ve got those paints too ?
Use toothpaste on your mixing well ..let set for 5 minutes then buff off.. keep paint from bending up...
Emma I'm just wondering if the shadow on the edge of the lake is on the wrong side and should be showing in the water as the sun appears to be coming from the left. Just a thought.
❤
Question, what palette did you use in this video? Love the colours 😊
She said Meiliang Watercolor pallet 😊
@@crystalzanic5056 thank you must have missed that.
Nice painting, but is that really indigo? It doesn’t look like my indigo paint at all.
I’m in the UK and have tried a couple of different tapes but they always rip my paper. What brand have others found that worked?
I use scotch magic tape and find it doesn't tear the paper as long as you remove it gently and not too fast. hope you can try that out x
@@amandastratton8242 Thankyou for that I will give it a go 🤞
