    If acquiring a new client can cost 5x more than retaining an existing client then why wouldn’t you focus on making things better for them. Love how she explains the great way to keep them and build brand loyalty

    GiGi is a great communicator, and you Chris are awesome for letting talent shine. It would be so easy for you to just promote yourself, but you have understood that it is by promote others you really grow. You are awesome!

    The main issue is that majority of the people don't look into long term perspective, they are just focused on finishing one thing to jump on another :) if you are long term oriented you will always value your clients :)

    @ChrisDo you're becoming one of my favorite people online. And Gigi you rock! Thanks for the amazing content. This will help me a lot in my new venture. I just launched my own Digital Agency. Like you, I am a UA-cam scholar. I remember I was interviewed by the newly hired VP of Marketing on one of the projects I was working on and he asked me what degree do I hold in Marketing or Design. I responded and said I graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology but I'm a self taught designer/marketing and project manager. After that interview he offered me half of the money I was asking as a retainer from that project. That experience inspired me to launch my own business. Making myself better is the hardest thing I have ever done but I'm super excited of what the future holds. Currently, I'm in the process of waiting to close my very first client. The biggest client I will work on but like you I have the mindset of making this a great experience for my client. Thank you both!

    Great talk. Thanks for the resources!!! These are great tips for someone who had a few clients already. How would you go about landing your FIRST client?

    • @one6creative
      @one6creative Рік тому +1

      Personally my very first clients came from my personal circle and ensuring everyone I know knows what I do and how i can help. Once I got a bit of experience and figured out what kind of projects and clients I enjoy most, it was all about figuring out where these clients hang out, whether that’s virtually or IRL and be there. Whether that’s networking events, online communities, podcasts, memberships, etc. I always prioritised proactive marketing over passive strategies (like social media).

    • @thedesignergamer
      @thedesignergamer Рік тому

      @@one6creative Interesting. I heard this idea that it's better not to take projects from anyone you want to stay friends with (like friends of family). This is probably because those people might undervalue your profession or expect some kind of special treatment. So were you suggesting to do projects for people in your personal circle or just to network with them and find clients around them?

      @@thefutur for real?!? It might even be a degree, now. People sort of like social scientists that predict trends of the future... Based on corporate and defense investments of today.
      Like one who talks about the world of soon to be where like your iWatch will alert you to an oncoming migraine, reading biofeedback makers through blue tooth headsets and then it will dim your lights, lower your smart home shades, and instruct you to lie down while it down loads the equivalent of like Excedrin migraine program into your neuralink.
      Or one who took a pro-life article about current human en vitro fertilization practices surrounding disposal or cryogenic freezing indefinitely and imagined a corporate like eugenics army growing out of unwanted fetuses. Think Clone Wars meets your local OBGYN practice.
      It's 'basically using your imagination I think to envision potential futures based on current avenues of research, potential applications...
