Driver like me who is more into fun drive and also love to take family over long drives, would definitely choose altroz over Tiago.. I love both Car though.. if I can arrange additional 1.5 lakh I would settle down to Altroz or may jump to Nexon and enjoy driving happily thereafter. Good knowledge sharing sir..

Altroz is far better product in terms of handling, gear shifting clutch travelling space and comfort in day to day travelling then Tiago.. however we also have to consider price which we pay extra..
I choose tiago Bcoz at lower price same engine is provided and even facelift of tiago is very beautiful. And it justify is cost So, tiago provides a complete package.
Amit Ji, your verdict is spot on. That was exactly the reason why I Pre-booked the Tata Altroz and later downgraded to the Tata Tiago 2020 following the test drive. Initially, I booked the XZ variant in Altroz as I was impressed by the styling, design and the features. But the test drive was disappointing due to the loss of torque in higher gears and the lag in overdrive gear. Paying 8.5 lacs on a Premium hatchback with 1.2 ltr 3 cylinder engine was not a great offer to me. Hence, I opted out from Altroz n chose the New Tiago 2020 XZ+ variant with dual tone. Features in the new Tiago is adequate and driveability is good for the money that you are spending. Since both these cars share the same engine, except for the different tuning and the presence of a balancer shaft in Altroz to handle NVH, I feel The new Tiago is the best bet. The Diesel version in Altroz might be an expensive option to look at, if you want to buy a car with all that you need: features, style, comfort and power.
Even I was confused before watching this video. I was more inclined towards Tiago than Altroz. If you give priority to value for money then Tiago is clear choice. It's better to go for Tiago.
I will say get altroz xe rhthm instead of tiago xe/xt for space and comfort ..or else go for full option tiago xz+ petrol in bw 7 lakhs on road. And if the budget is 8 lakhs its better to go for freestyle or i20 coz altroz at higher options is just about interior comfort features .
I am still driving my Nano XT 2014 power steering model ... 13000 km completed, only issue i faced is wiper water not coming now ... should I shift to Tiago XT or XG

with all seen this....Its super clear that a practical mindset will either go for Tiago OR Nexon(if has the budget). The only aspect where Altroz cuts the edge is 90degree opening doors, look and feel and boot. but same engine as in Tiago. again spending 1.5/2 L on just looks is a subjective choice.

I also wished Altroz given with Nexon engine & gearbox at least on some upper variant like Aura/Venue when have already hyped the price of Altroz.
