Great video! You showed Picture Size settings including 21:9. Can a user with a 2:35 format of screen use 16x9 as the base setting for tv and sports for example then switch to 21:9 for movies and have it fill the screen? My EPSON 5050ub has two buttons on the remote that I setup. One for 16x9 and the second "zooms" in when watching a wide format movie which ultimately fills the screen with the movie.
can you do a video of you hookoing this up to a Video receiver for the dolby Atomos , nobody ever talks about or shows that process, i dont want to skimp out on the sound, i appreciate the fact the device has built in speakers, but i want to show for a room of 40 people
Great review, thanks for going into mounting the projector as well. Most people skim over these details in their reviews, and sometimes it is actually the deciding factor. Instant like and subscribe. Keep it up!
Nice video! I have a C1S (chinese version) with 3D, no Dolby Vision/Atmos. By the way: wich camera did you use to recorder without a pink effect? Im struggling with that
Also it kinda looked like there was pink or color banding in the gaming video its very clear in the gaming video. I could even see it reflected on your shirt when you were watching kong. is it just youtube. because it looks terrible?
One thing I've noticed about UA-cam TV, is that even though the app isnt built in, you can still cast to the C1 and it pulls up the full app. Everything works except the back button on the remote. You can power the device up by casting to it. Also HDMI CEC works very well. I can power the device on and off with the Siri remote and my XBOX controller. The negatives are the short throw distance (I had a BenQ GV31 that did better. Hell, Ive had Vankyos that threw farther). That combined with no optical zoom, lens shift, oven keystoning can be an issue for some folks. If you can get past that hurdle, the C1 is excellent. Another kind of negative is that some version of the C1 Pro was announced at CES 2024 to be released later this year. Another random thing is that this thing really favors the color red. I mean, anything that's red just pops off the screen. Thanks for your review. Subscribed.
thanks for the video! can you tell me how many inches it is from the front rubber feet to rear rubber feet? i have a shelf to place this on and want to know if the feet are spaced for it. Thx
I definitely enjoy your videos just looking for a little more detail on the picture quality versus any projector you've used in the past or currently using. No worries@@HomeTheaterHobbyist
Yeah, i think even though its something people need to go see in person, maybe you could include like a test patern image or something? But thanks for the video
I just bought this today.. It's extremely good, the picture and sound is amazing, but I'm using my home theatre receiver for the sound.. To achieve a 120 inch Screen, you need to be over 10ft away and 13 ft back for 150 inch Screen. The only thing I found is the projector had to be straight in line with the screen and plenty tweakings in the settings. But it's an excellent picture once set up . Only downfall is the power brick that comes with it, similar to a laptop power supply .. If mounting on the ceiling like me, I had to use cable ties to mount it against the projector mount.. Doesn't look too bad.
hows your HDR experience is it as bad as mines (washed out colours, very DIM in appearence (HDR and dolby vision are horrible) so i use 8 bit 4k instead
@@J.C.Productions-gm8zp Yes I'm also using 8 bit 4K I can't complain it's really good dolby vision is OK not much of difference for me but my kids said they definitely liked it. Also it is my first 4k projector from 1080p in my dedicated room. I'm finding HDR Standard is more balanced some movies on Filmmaker mode so I'm finding it varies on what you're watching.
Bonjour Je suis à la recherche d’un système soundbar dolby atmos 360 pour un petit projecteur lazer Pouvez-vous me conseiller sur un système audio ? Merci pour votre aide Salutations Robin
Thanks for the video, Ive had a hisense 65q8 fald tv aussie variant and despite some shortcomings and issues with banding etc..... its a quality product that apart from some bits was half the price of a samsung equivalent and has outperformed most of my other samsung home junk i bought. But for the money they want for these things id expect a little $3 piece of machined or polished aluminum on the front not chinsey plastic, another annoying thing is VIDA it is quick and snappy but in this day and age....i wish theyd just put android on, however i just avoided ever using vida by plugging a home theater pc into my q8. It does make me wonder if they are cheaping out on the case, what kind of optics are in there. cheap chinese plastic lenses are ok for a while but does laser eventually damage plastics etc?
Hi everyone, I'm about to purchase this projector and I would like some advice from you regarding the projection screen. The use will be exclusive for the cinema with a dark room, distance between sofa and cloth approximately 4 metres. Thank you all !!!!
No Hulu. But it has a full built in browser. Holding the arrows on the remote works as a browser. Maybe I will try a keyboard and mouse to see if that works. You can get to UA-cam TV that way but the quality isnt that good.
Sorry Cody but how do you make a video and say little to nothing about the video performance of the projector. Your section about video performance talks mostly about the os. No mention about throw distance, focus issues, brightness in non dark rooms. Am kind of disappointed by the lack of real world usable info from you in this video.
Sorry I didn't go into those details. 😒 Honestly I thought it was obvious that I like the look and that focus and keystone adjustment was automatic and worked well when I talked about it in that section along with the B-roll showing it in action. Most projectors can show an image in a lit room but obviously does better when it's dark. I shot some b-roll showing the difference but opted not to show it because I thought it wasn't very much value add. Thanks for the feedback I'll try to incorporate some of these things in future videos. 👍🏾
@@HomeTheaterHobbyist Please feel no need to apologize. I very much appreciate the time and effort you put into these videos. You are a gentleman and come across as a very humble nice person in your videos. Thank you for accepting my feedback so graciously and please accept my apologies if I came across as harsh. BTW I hope you have continued success as you are a far better reviewer than Shane Lee. Yep, I currently 150in Home Theater with a 1080P Epson 2250 projector since 2020. Next upgrade to 4k won't be a projector, I'd rather get the Apple Vision Pro. Apple Music
Cody, you have the perfectspeaking voice forthese kinds of reviews, soothing and understated 👍
Thanks!
I was gunna say the same thing! My god this mans voice is gold.
Indeed!!
Finally a reviewer who doesn't rush to explain and doesn't use a bunch of intricate technical terms. Your voice is soothing as well. Thanks a lot!
This is such a GOOD review! Awesome!
Thanks so much! Don't forget to like and subscribe! 🙂

Thanks for commenting and subbing! 😁
Ditto on the short throw ratio !
Is it better than pl1 or px1
Does this project have any lazer Speckles'?
Hi there , is there a release date for the C1 Pro ? thx.
Not that I’m aware of.
thanks for the video! can you tell me how many inches it is from the front rubber feet to rear rubber feet? i have a shelf to place this on and want to know if the feet are spaced for it. Thx
Thanks for watching. Unfortunately I sent that unit back because it was a review unit so I can’t measure the foot to foot distance.
Hello i m looking for a calibration setting for c1 pls?
What about a little bit more detail on the video quality?
Sorry I thought it was obvious that I liked the image. But I see I could have been more explicit. I'll try to do better in future videos.

Have you attempted a 300in screen? If so how was it?
No, I didn't sorry
Still watchable but not good, pixels are scattered. 150”-180” is already wide to watch and still very good

How long is the lamp life?
Needs higher zoom at least 1.6x (my projector is 16' away from a 150in screen).
Hi. The 1 pin power connector broke off. Any idea where I can find a replacement? I've searched all over but couldn't find one. Thanks.
I'm not sure, sorry.
Motion for me is the most important thing in any projector. Is this one able to correctly display 24fps content?
Exactly this is what I am looking for.. did you get the answer for this? Could you please tell me
Great review, im still thinking about buying this or BenQ TK860i, which one is better?
I haven’t used the BenQ so I can’t say, sorry.

It has 120hz it’s on website specs not 60hz good review 😊
Please talk about the image quality. Strange you barely spoke about that in a projector review.

probably based off of debian or redhat
Not sure which but very fluid and fast, enjoyed it.

HDR sucks this is why it wasnt covered lol.. (i own this projector)
It does?
Well overpriced. Probability is its not as good as xgimi ultra, which is cheaper too.
