I really appreciate your serious, journalistic approach to this subject matter. And I especially enjoyed your side trip into black panther territory. My black cat was hanging out with me as I listened, which made it more fun.
Have been listening to these for a few hours. Also just saw the latest from Small Town Monsters. I love your presentations. Anything you narrate makes it better. Love your Elvira song. Take care and be safe out there.
I only recently discovered you, Lyle, but I really like your videos, especially the one about the Boggy Creek creature and the one about the Mothman. I also read your excellent book, The Beast of Boggy Creek. Boggy Creek 2; And the Legend Continues isn't a bad film, in my opinion. The only part of that movie that strains credibility is the reactions of the two girls in the boat when the guy in the jet ski goes around their boat in circles after Brian and Co. rent the boat at the fishing hole> the girls were actually impressed by his childish behavior! It's bad enough that he left a dejected Pam Pierce in the water. Oh well...
Another great episode, Lyle! Thanks for the shout out and answering my question on the air. Looking forward to more fascinating stories. Will miss you at Honobia Conference in October this year. Take care and stay safe!
Lyle was working on a project this winter. Did you every come across anything about Ford being related to the Fords from Boggy creek famous attack? I know they left and went back to Louisiana. Very curious as to see if this family was related and if this is the reason for the sudden creation of this three toed creature in Honey Island. Your thought’s
Could there be a Black Lagoon -type creature sharing the swamp with the creature in the film footage? Perhaps an undiscovered large lizard, similar to a monitor lizard, waits to be discovered. 37:05
Swamps can be very unforgiving. Had an air boat go out and I had to tow it a mile back to the truck. Very scary. Was always wondering when I would come upon a gator. Rough slogging about!
@@MonstroBizarro I'd hate to imagine the poor guy running into something like a less than friendly bipedal creature out there. I had something that sounded huge scream at me from just inside the woods as I cycled by on the road around midnight. This was at a campground in the Texas hill country near New Braunfels. Sounded just like so many reports of a woman in distress but way too loud to be a woman. Then the scream faded out to a chimpanzee type scream. I didn't stick around to see what it was.
I visited the area about ten years ago and feel there is too much tourism for these creatures to hang around. Perhaps the southern variety of Bigfoot, such as the Honey Island Swamp Monster and Boggy Creek Monsters lose, through evolution two toes because they live in a water environment. 16:13
Talking about Black Panthers, how about an episode on Black Panthers in general as well as the rare, occasional Saber -Tooth Tiger sighting? Although not as interesting as Bigfoot or Dogman, they are part of Cryptozoology.
Great stories Lyle, wishing you the best !
Great pod cast!

Excellent! Keeps getting better and better.
Thanks!

Thanks again Lyle Blackburn, this is my favorite Cryptid creature great work
Glad you enjoyed it.

Black panther sightings are interesting to me.
Awesome thank you for answering my question can't wait till the next one
You bet

They aren't related. The Ford family in the Boggy Creek case moved back to Ashdown, Arkansas, where they had lived previously.
Is it coincidence, or is Creature from Black Lake based on the reports of the Honey Island Swamp Monster? There seem to be many parallels.
According to the producer, Creature from Black Lake was mostly based on reports out of Bayou Bodcau. I have some old newspaper articles on it.

I saw a black panther around Jewett Texas while working nits at the power plant
Nites
It was HUGE
Very cool!
I wonder what happened to Ted Williams. I remember he said he had seen bipedal creatures near his land on multiple occasions.
As far as I know he went missing in the swamp and he wasn't ever found. But not 100% sure on that.

@@michaelstricklett7130 I can only imagine. Wouldn't want to tangle with a gator, no thank you.

How about a show covering the cannibalistic, aggressive cave men habituating the wilds of Texas? 21:53
