I remember some games even brought this fact up. In Metal Gear Solid 4, one of the final "bosses" messes with your controller like he did in the first game, if you're using a Six Axis or don't have vibration he'll cry out about no vibrations, but when they released Dualshock 3 they put out an update to where if vibrations he'll cry out in happiness. "VIBRATION IS BACK!"

When you need to press the L2 or R2 repeatedly on dualshock 3 and 4, you kinda feel they don't spring back as fast as the ps2 because the trigger changed to slope and you kinda have to either wait for the button to spring back to its position or press it in a way that you're kinda holding it but not pressed yet. Going from Xbox to playstation I hated the PS3 triggers, they weren't shaped in a way for your fingers to properly grip them and it always felt weird when you press them in - as if there wasn't a proper center for them

Sixaxis tends to be less glossy than dualshock 3

I can probably imagine I owned the PS3 Slim actually and it actually had rumble I didn't even know the six axis lacked a vibration function kinda like the PS2 controller at some point in time

The PS2 always had rumble on the DualShock 2… that’s what the name “shock” comes from, dual means 2 sticks, shock from the vibration. Both were started with the PSOne and every controller since has had vibration except for the sixaxis

@@meric12131415 yea, the first two controllers didn’t (the original “PlayStation Controller” without the sticks and the “dual stick”) but the original Dual Shock for the PS1 had rumble
