I totally agree. Especially since this video is aimed at beginners, push-pull is dangerous since if it slips, the limb can hit your face or eye. This can also twist the limbs, and most manufacturers do not warrantee a bow with twisted limbs if you use this method. Also, the graphic says "small loop" on the larger loop and "lower limb" on the bottom. The voiceover is correct, though.
I never watch the hook while putting on the string of the bow, if I need to look, peripheral vision is my friend. My husband had once a string failure while stringing the bow, luckily he wasn't face towards the bow neither, got a decent hit on his side of the head as the bow released the tension.
Especially since she needs to use her knee to get enough pressure to string the bow, obviously, she needs to use a stringer. Fivics makes a pretty good one. Push-pull is potentially dangerous to the archer and can twist the limbs. The method you teach is not safe. I know many experienced archers use the method, but USA Archery courses teach using a stringer and damage to the limbs is generally not covered by manufacturer's warrantee if you use push-pull.
You make it look so simple.
Do NOT string your bow this way - it is dangerous if you are not experienced and you can damage your bow. Use a bow stringer.

i think a gold medallist knows what theyre doing 😁
How much it's price
Nice :)
ah yes, my favourite part of my olympic recurve, the handle…
In the last video they called it a quiver so its an improvement 🙃
I think it's a flaw during translation. This video is originally in Korean
it’s called the handle in korean which is probably the reason for confusion 😁
As others mentioned, beginners should NOT use this method to string the bow, if your left hand slip then limb tip might hit your eye.
Stringing using this method is still good when using low poundage. If newbies string this method, they might hurt
🙂💜
Very useful series of basic videos but please lose the awful elevator music
