That toner was so transformational she grew a whole new head. I volunteer to be Test Subject #1!
Couldn't have said it better lol
Right…I was like where did she get all that hair?!?!
I realized the same thing.
Right 😂
Lol guys she had cap highlights. Half her hair that wasn’t bleached first is under the cap. You can see them pull it off in the video. This type of application isn’t done very often if at all in salons anymore.
I was told for years there was no way to color your hair to help the gray grow out. I'm so glad things have finally changed.
Gray blending is such a common service!! I can’t believe someone would act like that didn’t exist, most likely because they either didn’t want to admit they weren’t skilled enough or just didn’t want to take the time.
The hair stylist didn’t want to admit they didn’t have the skills. Any skilled colorist should be able to do this. If someone tells you they can’t do something but tout themselves as a professional - run
My hairdresser refused me for maybe what YOURS was trying to tell you. If your hair isnt beached to start, you cannot usually achieve this kind of result. My hair is too fine to tolerate bleaching. And I'm like a level 8, so not a lot of bleaching.
She did just agree we could do hilights which I dropped and went color-free in 2019. I dont have enough silver/gray even at 60! And I cant do the color because of my natural texture.
P.S. my hair is almost always in TOP health, and she knows I prefer healthy hair, to...whatever.
@@cady__at least they are pro enough to admit they can’t do something. I’d rather have the professionals that I am paying for a service admit they can’t do something I requested, instead of trying to do something above their skill level.
Favorite is a coworker I had. Her hair was dark with big shocks of gray. Blonde high light were added throughout to break it up. Her hair was gorgeous.
That hairdresser wasnt wearing gloves and you didn't give her the 3rd degree. 😂
Toner washs off much more easily than color.
This is the perfect transition for going grey
I'd love love love to see a video of you testing this !! Also ... I'm not convinced that this is the same head of hair here ??
Completely different lengths. That's gotta be two people....
@@NecohThey aren't two different lengths. Her hair is just under the cap, so obviously it appears shorter.
It is not!
@@DylonsBBGorl2 different people
the first hair is on a mannequin😭
If my gray hair was that pretty I would totally stop coloring my hair and go gray. That was beautiful.
With dark hair there is a stage of going grey that I found difficult to deal with, a salt and pepper look that wasn't even, was mostly dark, and didn't really have any areas of light grey highlights. The colour is a kind of messy and inconsistent... no framing contrast.
This isn't natural, but really strikingly beautiful. I think it is really smart like getting grey highlights instead of coloured ones, much better than colouring, bleaching highlights then colouring them lighter shades. A lot quicker, easier to do and maintain, and I imagine less expensive.
The end product looks natural and really good. Most of her hair is not exposed to any bleach or dye, so wouldn't be damaged by bleaching and dying. It's a win at several levels... a lovely way to enhance and embrace greying hair. A really good option when you are obviously starting get quite a bit of grey hair. A beautiful way to transition or enhance grey. A dazzling option if you are not comfortable leaving it natural, but it doesn't really seem worth the effort or hair damage of dyeing the grey away. ❤❤❤
Sis the neighbor grass is always greener... Go for yo hair!!!
I'm 32 and mine is coming in, whst I call, "villages" of hair on either side of my face in an almost silter tone.
Thanks mom's genes. Thankfuly she always showed her white hair since I was a kid.
@angela perhaps you might want to try to dye your hair gray like this to help you transition into the silver hair look as you age?? I think this might really help if most of your hair is gray, it would definitely get rid of the awkward "salt and pepper" look until your hair is mostly silver😊
The hair looks amazing but those highlight caps HURT to remove at the best of times. Id be so pissed if my hairdressed didnt hold my hair at the scalp so they could film with the other hand 😂
You keep using the phrase, black toner, and black dye as if they’re interchangeable and they’re not it’s not the same thing.
Years back, the cap, is how they highlited hair.
I had this done regulary.
I do not hurt at all!
They wash it off, while still in the cap, condition also, this can not hurt!
I have one that is made of silicone. It doesn't hurt at all and I like it better. Because the color doesn't bleed through the holes since the silicone shrinks around the strands.
You're supposed to wash + condition the hair B4 pulling off the cap
Then once the cap is off
Put more conditioner on your hair
Then rinse off!!
This way
NO PAIN!
I've heard of purple, blue, silver, green etc toners.
This is new for me. Thank you for making it absolutely clear this isn't the same as black hair dye.
Thank you!
It Turned out Beautiful.. My greys are getting so prominent, I am thinking about goig a Beautiful Grey , like this..
Just in case anyone is curious the brand is called Robson Peluquero . They have few kits in different colors I guess for different thing ( I am curious so will look into it)
Wow ! I didn't even think of black toner for sliver grey!! Genius!❤❤
That is gorgeous!!! That stylist is a chemistry genius!
😳😳😳😳
I need some of THAT! It toned her hair AND made it grow in the same sitting!! BRILLIANT!😮
😂😂😂
No it didn't....😊
There's a ton of hair underneath that rubber cap. Weirdo.
@@problematique9389there's literally no reason for you to be rude and call them a weirdo. learn to be nice.
@@problematique9389lol not really
My jaw dropped, I absolutely love this and now I want my hair to look like this!
Is anyone else mad they’re not going gray as you get older or just me?! 😬 I LOVE the natural look of gray hair. 🩶 My auntie has natural hair this color and I’m 45 and yet to see ANY gray!! Just mousey brown. 🫠
@michelechesney my gma had that totally blue-grey white hair by 40 so yeah.. like when is that magic going to pounce? LOL
totally dark rich auburn brunette hair and I'm 52
Am 50 and have beginning of a Grey sliver streak lots of Grey but still pretty much brown it needs to hurry the f up
My mom tried getting her hair dyed silver so wouldn't have to wait for the gray to grow in. That was about 9 years ago. It's grown out, and she's still not gray. She's a grandma and her youngest sister is a great grandma... she's old enough.
Are you kidding 😭 I have to keep touching up my roots every 4-6 weeks because of the pesky greys. Been cropping up since I was a teenager. You’re so lucky!
This is a brazilian brand called Robson Peluqueiro. Amazing brand
SÉRIO????!!!!... 😱😱
Thank u but what's the website I can get it at ? Plz thank u
Thank you 😊
Thank you for the info!
Thank you gor the product name
I worked in my friends salon 15 yrs or so ago and we had been slowly making my hair platinum/white. She had done some research and read that Marilyn Monroe's colorist used black as a toner. We did use an actual black color because back then there wasn't a black toner. She put it on and immediately rinsed it off. It worked. But it was really risky!
That is what I wish my gray hair looked like! Gorgeous!
So it went from short blonde to long ???
It's. The. Same. Length.
Curls = shrinkage
@@zenbrooklynWhat curls???😂😂😂
@@gailstevens8166 😭 I tried lol be nice
its under the cap.
Wow that turned out beautiful! That grey is "BAF" Love it!
Her hair turned out beautiful! Hope you are having a great day!
Not the same head of hair in the before and after pics. Didn't you notice that the hair was longer in the after pic?
@@Chris.357You’re wrong. Can’t you see it’s the same head of hair? Both under the same cap?? Both the same length?? Both with different camera angles? Shit you people are derpy as all hell…..
@@Chris.357didn’t you notice the highlighting cap in the beginning? it’s the same head
@@jilletdelphine
No, I didn't see it even after watching it 2 times. But if you say it's there, okay.
I've done my hair silver a few times.. these results are jaw dropping.
That CAP! Realizing that the stylist had already brought all those strands through a cap AT THE VERY BEGINNING!
This is Stellar Work 🎉
Stunning!! That is the colour I want my hair to be!
When i had heavy blonde highlights in my hair, and whenever it came out alil on the brassy side, i kept black hair dye and mixed alil in my shampoo. I would shampoo with it, leave it on for less than a minute and my blonde hilights came out blonde and bright and no longer brassy. I did this if I didn't have the purple stuff on hand for brassiness.
I’ve always thought grey hair was beautiful. Even before it was “in style” I’m so happy to see that it’s a “thing” all women no matter what age should feel beautiful
Grey hair is absolutely gorgeous! I hope I can go full silver or even a snowy white when I grow up 😂 I've always found it very elegant and graceful- my mom, on the other hand, plucks out her greys 💔 I'd rather have grey hair than no hair, lol.
“Don’t go to the store to try to buy this” lmao I wouldn’t know how to use it
I want this!!! My hair is blonde, brown, dark brown, gray, and white. I want this look!!!!
😂😂😂😂😂 you have to test this!!!! 🤣🤣🤣 I can’t
That's an absolutely gorgeous shade of grey! 😍
That's a con,that hairdresser is a fool he doesn't see it's a different head with longer hair
@lornamatthews4900 true! I didnt notice that lol. But it's still a nice grey
The Gray is absolutely gorgeous 💚
It is cause it's natural
@@Gently225 it's the same person, they only pull a few bits of hair through the cap to get those specific spots, that's why you can see some of her hair is still dark and some of its grey
This turned out so gorgeous ❤❤❤
I’d love to see how something like this would work on someone transitioning from bleaching their full head to allowing their natural grey to grow in. If it works it might make for some softer blending between the natural and the coloured hair.
Transitioning might be better option
I also don't believe the black under cap was natural because what we saw was a colour washed hair with no orange tone. She may have been blonde to start.
My favorite way to do grey is using level 1 depending on how white or yellow I change from 1a 1n 1na 1v but he's so right be careful it can go south real quick
I would love to see a video where you test the product.
Agree! Yes please!
I am intrigued by the produce bag type of cap they were removing from the second client. It dragged the toner through the yellow giving control to deposit time...imparting perfect results! I am looking for a deposit only color because I don't want even a tiny bit of lift on my natural hair (warmth! ugh!) just less yellow and more gray cowbell!
Color depositing Shampoo-Conditioner.
U only was your hair TWICE at the most with this product.
Then switch it up with reg shampoo Conditioner
Otherwise
Your color WILL LOOK FLAT
Because there is 2 much build up.
I know what you mean. My first DIY hair dye was black on natural dark blond hair. Somehow I stuck to the green and often use green or blue Directions since then 😂
For anyone wondering: since black usually has a base of blue. If you put black on blonde, blue+yellow= green. You'll end up with green hair. Just stick to the pros for these complex services.
So he’s lying about it being black toner.
@@carollynta toner is a demi permanent colour (which only sits under the cuticle of the hair) so has some translucency to it (think of a deck stain). Where as “a black colour” is more like an interior paint with the primer already added. It actually goes inside the cortex of the hair strand and changes the melanin (controls the pigment, ie colour) of the hair. So he wasn’t lying about it being colour. Also, the toner being used in the video is a semi permanent colour (applied directly from the bottle, not mixed with an activator), so has even less staying power, almost like chalk paint on your sidewalk. It will shampoo out quickly. So, everything can be “colour”, in this case he’s referring to the type of colour, which all effects the hair differently.
This is absolutely stunning.
I love the result. Wow, so gorgeous. I did cringe everytime the hair was rubbed left and right. That cannot be done on my delicate natural hair. But this hairstylist really knows their stuff. Amazing.
I love her hair!!
love this never had my hair dyed but i love this done
I'm completely with u on going to a TRUE professional with years if experience that ALSO annually goes to classes to learn about ALL the new trends & products!! That's huge!
This grey highlights is absolutely gorgeous ❤
Why does the 1st person here shorter hair than the last person?
2 different people?
Highlight cap, the rest of her hair is under the cap, you can see it being pulled off, and her hair is springing up because it has a bit of curl and has just been bleached. They clearly gave her a blowout when drying it.
WOW that shits amazing! It grows your hair out by the end of the process!
Very nice result, and super job pulling through that cap- good, even pieces!!!
😂😂😂 don't go to Sally's he said 😂😂😂
That IS amazing. Gorgeous silver look to her hair now.
That was an awesome transformation! I have salt/pepper hair, but I wish it looked like this.
That's gorgeous!
It amazes me even now after 23 years in the industry how the gold leaves from a toner. That silver white color is AMAZING! ❤😍❤ I want to try it too.
Absolutely stunning!
The finish is GORGEOUS!
I am just now embracing my grey hair and start the process in a couple weeks to get my color out. This was my desired look right here! It’s gorgeous ❤
I'm saving this! I'm really thinking of going to the salon and getting this done. Probably will take me awhile to get there. my roots are 60-65% gray and I go between red in winter to strawberry blonde for spring and summer. Oh yes I wouldn't have to color as much anymore once I got there 😮😊 Beautiful 🎉
Have to see you testing it!
The damage when he pulls off the cap makes me want to cry. It looks so rubbery just in the video 😭😭
Beautiful results
Oh wow, that is beautiful! This is what I wish my hairdresser knew when I spent over $600 and a full Saturday on 3 separate weekends to have done. It would not stop going brassy. I have naturally very dark, almost black (Indigenous and Celtic) hair. I had very long hair and going grey very quickly, so I wanted the bottom half to match the growth on top. Super bleached and so dry that it took almost 2 months of their blue conditioner before I gave up, went somewhere else to get it cut short. It was a relief when they went out of business so they won't waste anybody else's time and money. Now my hair is naturally long, grey and healthy.
Can’t wait to see you test this black toner
Stunning hair colour❤
I love the, "Don't put the black toner on your hair" to the "Thi is amazing, I have to test this" 180° turn.
He said dont put black color on your hair black toner is not the same as black color.
“Black toner is made from blue pigments so it will neutralise it, it will make it grey but be careful, black toner is not the same as black colour. If you put black colour on blonde, be careful” he means make sure you’re not confusing a black hair-dye for a black toner.
No danger of that here... I like having hair. And my gray isn't gray, it's silver, what little I have. My hair lady calls it tinsel. And I can live with that. I don't know why people want to destroy something that's the easiest part of you to keep healthy. I just feel like people who use a lot of chemicals in their hair will regret it later in life.
@@lilpinksliplee7310he kind of said both tho because he tripped over himself. I say don't chemicalize your hair. Not if you like having hair.
He misspoke.
Splendido 👏👏👋🌻
"Don't go to Sally's"😂
The amount of people not seeing the cap originally is shocking
Beautiful color!!
I really enjoy your channel you make me smile
It's so pretty 😍😍
On the upside, Mother Nature did me a solid with my natural results like this. Not to say I don't miss my reddish-brown applied color, but I don't have the maintenance of it now. :) That (video) color looked phenomenal!
Wowwwww. I wanna see more of this black toner everywhere
Beautiful done!
That's amazing! ♥️🌻😊
Turned out awesome. I can't remember the last time I used a cap. Foils all the time!!
Ive used black. 1.1 in L'Oréal as a toner. However i mixed it up and left it sit in bowl for half an hour. So when i used it. After rinsing lightener the ash was the only part left. The depth went when it was left in bowl.
I used a shampoo colour depositer that literally had this same effect and i lovvveeeedddd it. Its how i maintained my silver colour for so long, even when i started growing it out.
her hair looks stunning. is that even the same person 🤔? 😆 🤣 😂
Exactly how I'd like my hair to look when I finally embrace my grays..
If I ever do 😂
Always learning new things here, I didn't know there was black toner. Her hair turned out great tho I can see people getting the black hair dye in the future thinking it'll work.
Wowwwww!!!!! Gorgeous!!!!!
This was perfection
Wow!!! Amazing!!!
Absolutely stunning ❤
It is gorgeous!
Stunning. I really like the result!
I think I'm ready for gray blending.. my gray grows so quickly it's difficult to keep a consistently solid color. I'm ready if in future it looks this good.
Do it!!! ❤ it’ll be a great way to keep your hair low maintenance but bussin 🤘🏼
"Don't go to store and buy black toner and put it on your hair. But the result is amazing Wow. I HAVE TO TEST THIS!" Quote. LOL
Peper & salt ❤ Love it !!❤
Beautiful!
"Dont don't this" ...."i have to test this" 😅
It'll make your hair grow 6" instantly
definitely doesn't look like the same head
Nice result gran!
I've never even heard of black toner, lol!
Yes absolutely 🥰 gorgeous
thank you for always helping clueless customers. I would have made that mistake when I was a young teenager on a budget.
Not knowing the difference between toner and dye?
Even as a tween/teen I always thought "who wouldn't know that" but then there they are
Like people who need the "may contain nuts" label on peanut packages
@@beththegreen we are not born with infinite wisdom. some of us also had no internet as teens and no helpful big sister. shit happens, you know?
I fixed my formerly box-dyed red and faded hair to my natural mid brown color with blue conditioner. The hair was blue at first of course, but once the blue pigments faded I had my natural colour back like magic! Worked fantastic! :D
I love this.
I actually made this at home using Kiss Tintation by mixing Mystic Silver (purple/blue base color) and mixed orange which gave me a silver/gray natural color. Less inexpensive plus added more shine. However, I love learning new ways to do silver hair, so I still enjoyed this video. 👍😎👍
Phenomenal!
black toner ? stunning stunning stunning
Loving the gray hair on her
