I don't know what your doing but I've used quadlocks since they first launched on Kickstarter in 2011, on my road bicycle, my mountain bikes, in or car and on my adventure motorbike. I've done thousands of kilometres on bitumen and dirt, had major bone breaking accidents on my mountain bike and come off my adventure bike occasionally and never had an issue. No vibration on the phone on my adv motorbike or mountain bike, no rocks flying up through my front forks and frame, no scratches or chips on my camera lens. The phone case is so tough, never broken a screen since I started using them.
yeah opposite for me, and other riders I have rode with as well. 100% not worth the money on a dual sport or adv bike (that goes off road) for a road bike or car sure I think they are great.
Definitely some choice additions on the Transalp . I also have ordered some bark busters storms, waiting for the O.M. protection bars and skid plate to arrive.
@8:24 on my old v strom 650, I replaced the 12 V socket with a suzuki OEM 5V USB plug since most of the stuff I plug in that one, usually from my tank bag, needed a USB connection. I am pretty sure that one can be fitted to any bike and since it's a Suzuki OEM part it's obviously made for motorcycles. I'll leave the part number here in case somebody wants it 39105-06L00-000. It's 5V 2A, so decent power and it's much easier than having to plug some adapter that might fail or slide out from the vibrations. The only downside is that it is a bit expensive.
two my friends ride Kawasaki Z900's and BOTH of them asked why i don't have the luggages yet? just got my Transalp two days ago so i have not yet got them.... they would have wanted to leave their helmets there. boys better get their own boxes if they don't wanna carry helmets around 😆
Nice video well presented and I like the honest review. I'm really enjoying mine, I have added a lot of similar extras too. I do think the bike sits too upright when on the side stand though, any recommendations? I can only see cheap adjustable ones from China.
So I want to order the USB thing but on the honday web site it appears to people a cigarette lighter. Did you get that and then just add a lighter USB adapter ?
Thanks for the upgrades update. Is there a US Heed location? When I go to the link in the drop down all I can see are Euros. And about how long did it take to get your parts to your doorstep, crashbars, skid plate. Apparently Honda accessories for the TA are months out. Thanks for the info.
I am considering adding a 2nd 12 volt or usb plug into the right, throttle side of the body work similar to the Honda one on the left siide. I can add a fused wire to the battery or yo a keyed wire. Or maybe splice into the left side one. I also like the Heed skid plate & lower crash bars. I disagree as I understand approx 90% of ADV bikes rarely do nuch off road.
How so? And how is there just “a sole purpose” to riding? Not offended, just curious. Do you not listen to music while you ride? It can be nice to turn it off sometimes but anything more then a hour and it’s nice having music/podcast to listen to. Anyway everyone rides their own ride, I just don’t see putting in an 8-12 hour plus day on the bike without my phone personally.
@@KS-hw9zr I do not music while riding and my phone stays in my pocket.. I am to busy paying attention to my surroundings and enjoying the scenery.. sorry but I don't ride 8to12 hrs in a day
@@gabrielkopp2036 ahhh, maybe when you start doing longer rides you’ll understand the appeal of something to listen to other then the wind/road noise. I don’t listen with my eyes so it leaves my vision open to the scenery…

I found a cheap bolt on kickstand extender on ali express was like $5 or something like that. Works great too
I never ordered from Ali, are they legit? Is shipping super long?
@@adventureundoneyeah it's legit. Takes about 2 weeks
Great video, clear and concise. Most reviewers would take an hour to do what you did in 17 minutes!!!

Hepco & Becker make those side stand add ons and heaps of other cool stuff
So that’s why I couldn’t get voltage at the plug!
I straight wired it to the battery.
Excellent video.
What brand is the mirror? Where from?
You should make a video of all of the mid sized adv bikes you’ve owned past while to contrast and compare them. In order of which ones you’d Re buy.
Good call ,I will do that. Would be a fun ride and chat video
Total added weight?

Great video! Subscribed (thinking hard about swapping my '21 CB500x for one of these... tough though, love the 500!)
What brand are the crash bars and why did you chose this brand?
Thanks
Heed
try and mount the fog lights upside down, maybe it will look better
Yeah I was thinking the exact same lol
Like the lights and agree, no need to spend $300+. Guessing you wired straight to battery?

putting a string on the little stand support and long enout to hook on left handle bar.
Did you order the Heed crash bars, engine bars, skidplate from europe?
yes, they come from Poland I believe

No, but they are fast with shipping. You can also buy them on eBay
Thanks for the response and the info.@@adventureundone
@adventureundone can you send a link to what seat cushion you used on the Transalp? Thanks

the top wind deflectors are 70€ and the lower ones are 90€ and you buy em separate
Got a cheap car garmin with a bike mount. Has worked for years. If it breaks im out 35 bucks. Lol
@Adventure Undone, could you do video NC750X vs Transalp, please?
I can't keep up with you. Is the 300ls gone?
😂😂 yes
You can wire you foglights to your high beams... Just re wire the connectors
Unless you want your fog lights on with your low beams only...
@@zackallen4105 press function and you can switch it on through the dashboard... No need for extra switches
What if someone likes your FB post dude, you don't want to miss that....

With all due respect I personally think anyone who mounts their phone on their on their bikes is missing the sole purpose of riding..
Yeah I agree somewhat. I put mine in my bag more often now. But sometimes I need it for nav.
I definitely use mine on my handlebars to use as a GPS so I could find my way out of the OHV parks.
