@yoos who said this was kpop? The kpop industry has boy group and girl group formula down to a tea and in most sense way better than the west. America and Europe tends to put a “main vocalist” and make the rest of the members backup vocalists and I can list you so many groups. Excluding little mix. This is how we ended up with Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Camila Cabello who were advertised and pushed as the main character of their groups and outshined them. (Which defeated the whole purpose of a group)
BOYS WORLD on the other hand is doing a good job in making every member shine and finding middle ground so that all members can sing and have screen time.
The original commenter didn’t mention kpop and is bringing up a point and issue that western groups have which is making one member of the group the spotlight that usually outshines the other members and creates an imbalance in popularity.
I hope BOYS WORLD stays this way and doesn’t end up like other American and European groups who only last a few years and broken friendships. I hope they shine brightly and isn’t labeled “ the next cheetah girls or the next fifth Harmony.” And instead are known as BOYS WORLD. The western media has this problem with labeling the next big thing after other legends instead of recognizing them as their own person or group.

Man this group has NOT ONE weak link. Each delivers capable vocals with different tones and textures. From Makhyli's deep and rich sound to the light, wispy vocals of Lillian. Different people favor different sounds but there's something for everyone here.

I think their weak link is Olivia (pink hair). She has phenomenal vocals but doesn't seem like shes the strongest dancer. She didn't have much or any choreography in her solos, and she was always kept in the back for the group number bits. Still a bad ass performer though!
@@oliviabannerman6230 Mmm well I gotta disagree and tbh, I think they're all pretty close in dance ability. I mean at best Makhyli and Queenie miiiight have a slight edge on the others? But its not like they're out here doing Normani-level choreography so I don't think it matters. They keep it simple and cute while delivering straight vocals, and Olivia is easily top 3 when it comes to vocals. So even if I HAD to pick one of them to go, it wouldn't be Olivia because that voice of hers is doing things.
@@mattdiggsmusic From a dancer’s pov, Olivia does lack technique and some musicality. She’s the weakest dancer but does that matter? No, they are a girl group and the vocals matter most and she definitely has that. Dancing is vital, especially in a girl group (and in one like this, where four seem to be effortless dancers) but it’s just an observation and critique. I just disagree in saying they’re all close cause Olivia stands out but the other four have it together. You can see it especially when they teach the routine to ‘Girlfriends’, she admits that dancing is hard for her. This song was more vocal heavy and I’m sure over time Olivia’s dancing will improve like every other group that goes on. As a whole and regarding the hypothetical statement of ‘kicking one out’, no one is worth that cause they all have vocals and bring their own taste and vibe to the group.

Boys World deserves to blow up. What I love about this is there’s no obvious center or lead member. Like a lot of groups are set up to push one or two members to the front but with Boys World everyone shines and has the ‘X factor’ to be the lead member. I also love that they don’t relegate adlibs to one or two of them everyone adlibs and their tone and vocals are different from one another but sound perfect together
