- This concrete garden has been changing from spring to autumn to match the growth of the plants.
The seasons change very quickly, and it was six months that we were busy organizing the growing plants.
We were also able to see the changes in the insects that come with each season.
When there were many caterpillars, ashinaba-bee appeared every day; when there were many grasshoppers, mantis stayed for a few days to catch them; aphids and ants increased at the same time.
There are many living things around plants, and there are microorganisms necessary for plants in the soil that we cannot see.
In the soil, which we can't see, there are microorganisms that are necessary for plants, and this makes me think about the balance of life.
The wood used in the diy is mainly cedar boards. There is also red pine. I got it from a home center.

Even though it is a small garden but you've organize it very well i think.
You've got a neat & beautiful garden. Had I seen your videos months earlier, I might've probably not built a pond on my small front yard. Having many cats in the neighborhood is one of the reasons growing edible plants isn't convenient. Never thought that simple looking raised planter boxes like yours were easy to build.
So inspiring, it's pure happiness to see how you changed a concrete view into green life everywhere 👏👏👏💞✨

質問なのですが、虫さん達とはどのように付き合っていますか？
今、私の庭ではバッタやイモ虫達が毎日おいしそうにハーブを食べてます…
食物連鎖を破壊したくなくて、なるべく殺虫剤は使わずにしたいです。
でも、野菜育ててるのか、虫育ててるのかわからなくなるので😅ネットをかけています。
私のところにもオンブバッタがたくさん増えました。
柔らかい葉っぱが好みのようですよね。
バジルはバッタのためにあるような状態になってしまって他の葉っぱも穴だらけになるので少し遠慮してもらおうと対策を取りました。
ニームオイルを水で薄めてスプレーすると、食べる勢いが減るようです。
葉っぱを切り取っていく蜂（上手に葉っぱを切り取ってはどこかへ運んでいくんです）もニームスプレーすると寄り付けないようでした。
それでもバッタの数が気になったので、この頃は割り箸でバッタを捕まえて穴あきの袋に入れて山へ離しています☺️

生き物は、よく観察するとかわいいんですよね。すべて抹殺するのではなくて、
少し遠慮してもらうのがいいですね^ ^

少しづつ、動画みせていただきました。プランターの棚を、幾つも、固定で、作られていますが、アイデアの思いつきに、感心させられます。私もベランダで、植物を育てていますが、咲き終わった後の土に、手をやきます。今は再生の土など、いろいろありますが、木の箱を固定していますが、土の入れ替えなどは、どうされていますか？
土について考えさせられますよね。培養土から始めたガーデンなのですが、土が継続するような持続可能な栽培をプランターで出来ないものかと考えていたところ、emぼかしの土作りやミミズコンポストで土の入れ替えを必要としない栽培があるのだと知って秋から試してみています。

私の暮らす地域ではこの夏は台風に直撃することがなかったので助かりました。
夜中に大雨が降ることが何度かあって植物が折れてしまわないか気が気ではなかったです。何とか無事のようでほっとしました。
私のところで風が強いと気になるのは2回に上がる階段のところに置いている植物が気になるので集めて飛ばないところへ移動するというぐらいでしょうか・・・
あまり参考になりそうなお返事が出来なくてすみません😳

I absolutely love this video especially the planters and tomatoes. Ive been gardening for almost five years now although Ive only done so in tropical and hot/arid climates and mostly in pots. I pray someday we'll be able to experience gardening in a temperate climate as well and have a nice sized balcony garden like you do.
