I knew of this song but could only repeat the chorus. The Holy Spirit put this in my spirit so I wanted to know the entire lyrics. I'm amazed at how The Holy Spirit spoke and lead me here! When I was a little girl I was so vibrant and courageous. I just wanted to share the joy and love that I felt with others but I was rejected and put down so bad and I didn't know how to deal with it. I begin to live inside of myself as a protective aide so that people couldn't hurt me. I became so unsure of myself and I closed up never allowing myself to discover who I truly am because as I said being me was always rejected. Now I am an adult with all these insecurities and self esteem issues😪.....My Heavenly Father is letting me know He knows what I'm feeling and He has my back! Hello. Your story(what you wrote) sounds similar to mines. As a child I was a very lively person. I was full of joy, happiness and hugs lol. I too was just soo loving of everything and everyone. But I too changed(the world will do that to you). Just wanting to give love but I grew protective and hardened as time went on. I grew insecure of myself and starting trusting no one and keeping everyone at bay not allowing people to get too close. I grew tired of it because I felt as though I shouldn't feel this way. I don't know where you are at in your journey but it does get better. Your insecurities turn into being secure with yourself and Yah(God). Even when others tell you differently stick to what you know to be true. Stick to what Yah tells you and it'll get better 😊.

I saw the they in comparison to himself as a lesson in not judging others who, like him (like us) also are frail, flawed and in need of grace even of their flaws are different than his own. Not being hypocritical. Made me think also of the scripture in Matthew 7:3-5. Hope that helps. The grace he needs is the same grace he can draw from God to extend to others.
