So I can plug in a L and R XLR from my RME babyface into the Radial XLR inputs and then it will send those to the XLR outputs of the radial? and then if there was a surge from the console it would hit the DI box instead of my RME babyface?? :)
You could in theory do this.
However to quote Dr Ian Malcolm: “Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn't stop to think if they should”
Joking aside: you shouldn’t need to do this. If there is a possibility of a surge (be it power or audio) there a larger problem that needs addressed.
@@billylaguardia yeah but at venues their situations will be all over the place yeah? Plus this adds the ground lift option... So is this not prudent?
Is it possible to hook into the L&R rca inputs and use the the RCA Thru output and XLR outputs at the same time? Basically 1 stereo input to 2 stereo outputs? (RCA Thru & XLR's)
I believe you explained it was possible
