Dude, your cover was sick! I absolutely love when people do videogame covers. The Yakuza Series is definitely an interesting one to be a fan of. I myself picked Yakuza 0 a couple days ago and I'm HOOKED on the story. The music of the game is also amazing, it just makes me more inclined to turn the volume up 😂
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm also happy you got hooked and I definitely recommend pushing through and finishing the game. It's very worth it and it's still one of my favorite stories :)
Was playing this game when I was wondering what type of guitar I wanna play. Absolutely adore this series I looked up videos like this to see if it was possible (of course it was fantastic work)
went into the video expecting some mediocre (my level) of a cover but daaaaaaaamn dude that was cleanest one i've seen, you should do the tutorial for it Marty Shwarts style) ppl will love it
Any special tuning for this version or stock? It sounds awesome regardless! Well done! I really want to learn this for my Son who is a massive Yakuza series fan! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much :) sadly, this is an older cover and I didn't make tabs for it as I learned it by ear. I definitely will make tabs in my future covers. You can still learn it though by slowing down the video and going note by note and then speeding it up, which is what I do when I'm having trouble figuring it out by ear. The tuning is Dd-Ab-Db-Gb-Bb-eb. Good luck!
Thanks for watching :) I'm not sure what you're referring to though. At this timestamp, I'm playing the rhythm part of the guitar while the lead guitar plays in the original track. Can you clarify?
@@Digildon I did attempt to match the tone as closely as possible with the original. The only thing I'm hearing that could differentiate this part is that there is only 1 guitar playing at 0:42 and it then gets doubled and panned left and right at 0:50 to push it to the front of the mix. I sadly didn't have a backing track to work with at the time, so I had to try to do things like this to make the guitar stand out as much as possible. It's been a while, so I don't remember every detail, but hopefully this helps clarify a bit :)
>Makes fantastic spot-on cover
>Forgets to release it
This is hands down the cleanest and most accurate cover of this song on UA-cam. Nice work!
Thank you so much for watching and for your kind words :)
That's rad!
Holy shit!

Thank you so much for the kind words! :) This was drop D half step down DAD tuning, so Dd-Ab-Db-Gb-Bb-eb
@@FunkyPeanutMusicAlright, thanks.
Best game soundtrack I've heard. Rockstar, you could learn that from SEGA! 💪

This was tuned a half-step down and in Drop D, so: Dd-Ab-Db-Gb-Bb-eb
Sounds like a Marty Friedman cover
If Megadeth made Yakuza's music
God DAMN
for someone with the channel named after funk, you sure can shred the guitar-
Fucking killed it man, wish there were tabs or a tutorial

Good choice! Best budget guitar you can have :)
Do you have maybe a guitar tab? I would like to learn this song so much

Awesome cover!! I have the same guitar, what amp & settings are you using to get this tone ?
Ty! :) For this one, I was using the Bias FX 2 digital amp sim suite by Positive Grid with the T-Rex preset. Highly recommend!
@@FunkyPeanutMusic Thanks a lot !!
I play this game
SHEEESH BRO
Man I wish there was a tutorial for this cideo
That's very cool.
I'm wondering why this part is significantly different? 0:42
Thanks for watching :)

The tone, maybe?
Pretty much the whole tune except for this part blends in with the original. @@FunkyPeanutMusic
