I feel like there really should be rules on what can be showed on ads. I know content creators aren't responsible for kids seeing inappropriate content. However, I feel like it's different with ads because lots of kids' games put a lot of ads to get money. Please let me know if there's a feature that blocks inappropriate ads on kids' games because I'm not entirely knowledgeable about mobile game ads.
On some games, then only way you can block ads, if you turn off the WiFi, but so even then you will get an ad. It's really bad.
The most important way to make adds appropriate is accurately represent the game itself, EVONY!
Maybe apple can make a child feature where it blocks unnecessary/spam ads and it blocks and reports inappropriate ads and videos

So many mobile game companies became so hungry for money that they forgot that the only way they will get the most profit from their games is if the advertising matches the content of the game itself, AND if they make the game enjoyable. A game can have accurate advertising but can have too much in-game currency or mobile ads, just like it can happen the other way around.
Hey bootleg Puzzle games out there, adding undressing women in your ads won’t make people want to play your game, and I’m pretty sure you know it by now considering you know that Apple/Google won’t let you add *this* to your freaking game. In fact it will only make people wanna download your game just to make bad reviews commenting on how you’re just sexist and h0rny. Even the pervs that get trapped into downloading those games are complaining now saying “oMg whErE aRe tHe n&kEd gIrLs”. Like seriously, it’s the 21st century, 99.5% of people nowadays don’t just see us girls and women as walking baby factories with basketballs on top anymore.
Homescapes, advertising using torturing characters (again, particularly women and/or children) in a bootleg adult cartoon art style and seeing them starve or freeze to death isn’t doing a better job at getting people to download your game, in fact, pulling pins and stuff isn’t even what your game is about. I know since I remember having that game on one of my first devices back in the early to mid 2010’s (idk if it’s changed ever since). People who played the game long ago will quit, and people who are new to it will say it’s false advertising.
The best way to make money is honesty. Not making an ad about connecting dots for a game about puzzles, not doubling in-game purchases costs, not playing 817272772 ads in 1 second, not undressing women in lingerie, not even in-game purchases in general. Just honesty.
Mobile game advertisers are so money hungry nowadays, they’d destroy their whole freaking reputation, heck even fanbase just for a couple more dollar signs.

BTW, i think the airplane mode trick only works with games that uses specific ad engines, since some of them download the ad whenver you see it, essentially keeping backup ads incase you don't have internet access

If I learned to code better and model I'd really love to just take one of these and actually make it into a pleasant game with minimal ads. Like an actually good story, good dialogue, and decent visuals.

I know one : My fashion design. Yeah it’s a styling game but trust me there’s no ads, and the dialogue is pretty good. I know another one : Love Nikki Dress Up Queen and it’s sequel Shining Nikki, both styling games but even better, no ads and even better writing and dialogue, just I think all three of these games need internet to be played.

I never payed for anything on my first LN account since I was - and still is - too young for a credit card but when I got my debit card earlier this year I started buying diamonds on a newer account I used with my FB account (kinda off topic but I usually don’t spend much time on social media, I only ever had most of my social media apps - which are only 4 including UA-cam - for the purpose of privileges in my mobile games lol.)
There's not really a specific game but rather a company that makes these types of games that I think would be interesting for a video topic, basically there's this studio called Lucky Kat, and their schtick was that they would make games that were fun to play and had amazing art but also had A LOT of ads, I was curious as to what had happened to them in these past few years and I found out that they not only have entered the business of making shovelware mobile games similar to the ones you covered, but have also gotten into making an NFT game.

I feel like the "whatever the hell this hair is supposed to be" hair was meant to be just a tuft of hair on the crown, but the developers messed up the transparency layer. So now it just looks like a weird fuzzy helmet.

Omg!!! I remember seeing the first ad while playing a game. For freaking sake, I can’t believe we’re halfway through 2022 and advertising companies are still adding the following to their ads :
- Sexualization and/or abuse of women and/or or children
- Depictions of men as perverted and horny manipulative scumbags
- Depictions of women as sex objects or just helpless objects in general.
- Using popular/copyrighted characters/toys from popular games or shows to trap clueless children or foolish people to play the game
- False advertising (promoting something that is not in the game or taking footage from other better games to put in the ad while it’s not the game itself’s content)
- Fake reviews/bot reviews to make AppStore’s (or Google PlayStore’s) dumb AI algorithm think that the game is actually good lmao.
- Fake age ratings (for example rating the game 4+ or 12+ while it contains full nudity and/or bloody gory gruesome violence)
- Sending any bad message of any type of people (for example promoting racism, ageism, ableism, body shaming, etc.)
- (this one is the one I hate the most) When advert companies that promote a KIDS GAME uses undressing women on their advert - which is not even close to what the game is - to attract pedo’s, predo’s and pervs to download the game.
I currently have ten (10) mobile games on my phone and out of all of them, only two used actual footage or content that is in the game to make their advert(s). Seven (7) of them used at least one of the falseful advertising methods I mentioned above. And the one remaining, I have just happened to find it while scrolling through the Google PlayStore (I had a Samsung tablet by then, I now use an iPhone) and found it interesting so I downloaded it.
I have seen tons of mobile game ads, from ads that promote body shaming to straight up sexism, and I’m only a 15 year (now 16) tween girl. I honestly think that mobile game advertising is dead, and not even the devs themselves try to do anything about it. Some even go as far as deleting the bad reviews using bots, use AIs to respond automated messages (that’s basically what they all do lol) or have fake or unhelpful report systems on their games. I’ve seen people putting 5-star reviews when they actually meant a 1 star review to avoid having their review deleted. I myself had to do that once.
Honestly I have *ZERO* hope left for mobile game adverts, and I honestly hope that Apple or Google hire actual humans to verify and moderate the games released on the stores and their content, and not some Bot or AI that can’t tell the difference between a Among Us shaped Pop-it toy and a topless waifu’s big bare-breasted pair of tits.
Sorry for the graphic descriptions, and I get that it’s not 1950 anymore and there’s high-tech and all, but not absolutely *EVERYTHING* has to be done by bots or AIs. Of course I’m not saying that technology is bad in any way, since I myself am kind of a techno nerd and like to do some coding or programming every once in a while, but like, some things are better done by human brains and not AI programs.
The main reason why so many bad ads and bad games slip through so many cracks is because too many of these things are moderated by bots, heck even made by them. If it wasn’t for all the fake bot reviews mobile game companies like to ad to their apps, I’m pretty sure basically every app in the top 10 best app charts today would be like, 0.1 star.
Plus, speaking of fake reviews, now the fact that fake reviews is even a thing in the first place just proves that even the devs of these mobile games/ads themselves know that their work is awful. Who wouldn’t program bots to spam produce one trillion 5 star reviews after their game’s 1st download if they know that their creation is straight up a rip off?
Sorry for my very long novel comment, but I just wanted to point out that some of those mobile game ads/apps out there contain some crap that even Satan himself has never even dreamed of.

87.99% for the "developers" to go to the bar, and drink away the money.
But aside from the jokes. The graphics of the games are really bad. The 2d one tries to imitate the family guy art style, but fail so badly. And the 3d ones look either lazy, or poorly made. The person who made it clearly don't knows how to draw, or just don't care. I think it's the mixture of both. And they are really oversexualised. I don't have a problem whit sexual drawings, but this is just oversexualised to the paint that it's almost unconfortable.
I think we all know that the ads are really misleading, and cringy.
And about the third game specificly. It has really creepy elements in it. The family vloging element presented in the games as something normal, and not harmfull. I think I don't have to say that this is a problem. Family vloging channels make jokes, and pranks about serius topics, and issues, like domastic violence towords pragnant people, child abuse, and neglect, miscariges, cencer, and poverty. An another problem with family channels is that the parents exploit their children for money, and fame. Which have bad effects on their lifes. We know this for more then a decade, because of child stars. For every one child star who turned out to be fine, or good, there is at least 5-8 ones who's life was negativly efected. And there is the fact that most of the time those channels turn out to be abusive. There were family vloging channels where the parents were phisicaly, mentaly, emotionly, or sexualy abusive towards they children behind the screnes, sometimes they were abusive even infront of the camera.
And an another creepy espect of the game is the sexist, sexual, nonconsensual things. Not all men like basketball, and video games. Not all women likes dresses, and dimonds. I know men who don't play video games, I'm a women who likes to play video games, and I know man who are like to wear dresses, and I know women who don't like cloths. The taking pictures of her butt, without her consent, or knowledge, and the ad with the washing machine is also came of as really creepy, and in both there is an absence of consent.

The ad shown at the very start of the video is a textbook example of "We're Still Relevant, Damnit!" as they referenced that one washing machine TikTok (even sampling its audio) seemingly just because (they think) it's popular. In reality, the meme died after about only *3 weeks,* and the ad is *very* out of touch as a result. It's like if a faceless megacorp *un-ironically* did an ad campaign featuring MLG *in 2022.* If that isn't proof that the ad makers are boomers, then I dunno what is.

Some games preload ads as soon as you open the app so even if you use airplane mode it’ll play ads it already preloaded unless you had airplane mode on when you started the app
