Wow, this is exactly what I'm looking for. There's a lot of bad reviews on the hobbyists dosing pumps. I'm ordering one of these industrial pumps today!
I have a question, but first I want to say what an awesome video this was. Very informative and factual with no fluff or puffery. My question-can the 50 ml/minute pump be plumbed in such a way so as to reduce flow to perhaps 20mL/minute? I am thinking about attaching a T fitting in the hose with valve restricting flow past the T fitting going into the display tank. Connected to the other end of the T would be the hose bleeding off the excess water back into the tank. Does this sound possible or would there be some complication?
Haha, Great video and description of the pumps. Mine are already on the way! Nice to see you comedic side coming out. Haha. How many takes was that without laughing at yourself.
Thanks, Ryan for the video BROTHER!! I am not a big fan of running my KALK through my ATO system!! I run a Avast Marine Kalk Stirrer off a #BRS Peralistic pump off a timer thats all connected to my Apex which is bullet proof 💪💪💪💪
What would cause my dosing pump to have a hard time starting up? Almost like gears are not lined up and finally does after a couple of minutes. I thought perhaps broken tooth on the gear drive, but not sure if they are able to be rebuilt or not.
It's not vacuumed related because the top was off the jug completely. Not sure of the age of the pump because I bought it used from a reef forum. I chalked it up to lesson learned. Basically I can't use it because if I put it on a timer, I don't know for sure how long it will take to start or how much it has actually dosed. Pump is noisy until it actually synchs up.
We only ship direct to the United States and Canada right now, but do allow for the use of a mail forwarding service. If you're interested, the link below has more details on how that works. www.bulkreefsupply.com/international-shipping
Can dosing pumps be placed under the tank and the tube extended into the main tank? I don't have room for a sump. However, I do in the stand below. I have this tank for my reef www.petsmart.com/fish/supplies/aquariums-and-stands/aquariums/marineland-60-gallon-heartland-aquarium-ensemble-5115757.html
