    I do not get tired of watching the artist at work ... it's a feast for the eyes, we see so much "anything" on UA-cam .. The talent, it does not invent! !!!! Thank you for sharing, I have tears in my eyes!

    This is pretty damned cool. I've used epoxy resin and hardener for so many years purely for gluing things together, never even thought of using it in an artistic, creative way. Now I want to go and start working on my own artistic projects. And the best thing about this video? No annoying verbiage or jokes or desperate attempts to make people think you have a wonderful fun personality. Just pure talent and skill on display for people to enjoy and learn from on. All about the piece. Love it!

    Is the grain also too random for a thickness planer? (referring to initial step of flattening).

      Greg, although not just anybody would have the patience and basic hand skills to do this kind of thing, it doesn't look like it's brain surgery or rocket science either. I'm sure with a lot of practice and trial and error, you or almost anyone could learn how to make pieces like this. Remember Bob Ross always said it starts by believing and then all you have to do is practice.

    Hi Andy, really beautiful and inspiring work. I love your attention to detail in each step. I'm just about to start trying out some resin work, so this is really helpful. Can I ask what is the foil-backed tape that you use? Many thanks, Alan.

    When I added hardner to resin it both mixed. And I added coloring. Later a while it emitted smoke and and only a white burnt epoxy left.
    What is the reason for it.
    Resin: hardner
    10 : 1
    Mixed Ratio above

    Hi
    Dear Professor, I really enjoyed my work. I want to use this new method. What tools are needed to buy for me to perform the artwork you do?
    1. What type of resin used?
    2. Should the color be added to the resin? What is the type of color?
    3. Type of finisher?
    4. Fitting glue?
    5. What should you do to dry? Why do you heat
    I'm eager to do it
    Thank you

    Hello, your watch has become fantastic.
    For me you are a wood artist.
    Because I would like to do a project with resin soon, I have a question for you.
    How long do you have to wait after applying before you start sanding?
    Greetings from Andy from Germany

    So your ok to sand this resin once dry, and it won't scratch

    • @ManorWood
      @ManorWood  6 років тому

      Have a look at my other video I show you how to sand then polish:)

    • @shaunbarnett2972
      @shaunbarnett2972 5 років тому

      Two part epoxy once set is basically very hard plastic. I'm sure you could sand it and polish it in a similar way as you would with hard plastic.

    Is your finishing method the same for all wood/expoy projects?

    • @ManorWood
      @ManorWood  6 років тому

      Hi Scott, Which part of finishing are you referring to ?

    • @scottgoddard6645
      @scottgoddard6645 6 років тому

      the was/oil on the wood. I can see you sand / polish up to 1500, then polish the expoy, then what do you do to the wood?

    • @ManorWood
      @ManorWood  6 років тому

      I show in the Video I used EEE Ultra Shine on the Clock, I have added a link now. I use different finishes all the time , i.e floor or Table need a more durable surface a Clock is quit different. Best

      Manor Wood thanks, what would you use on a table? Hard wax?

    • @ManorWood
      @ManorWood  6 років тому

      For the Resin Project Hard wax good finish and quick simple to apply. you can use french polish or Garnet flakes. but I like the fatter finish of the wood helps the resin pop..:)

    What tape do you use? Every tape I have tried has leaked bad. Please advise?

    • @ManorWood
      @ManorWood  6 років тому

      Great to hear to you are using Resin, so you know just how hard the clean up can be and the time it takes. no short answer to this leaks happen when you mix resin and wood .I use different tape all the time some time masking as its easy to remove sometime packing tape and some gala tape.that walled different job and you get to know which to use when you see how the wood looks and type of wood .I am going to be testing out some tape fromEasy Composites in the next couple weeks I wallop load a video when it arrives..
