Classy and funny guy. Never took himself too serious. Probably in Heaven playing hoops with Bill Russell and talking basketball with John Wooden. R.I.P. Bill Walton.

Because of his personality He got all popularity. He was just average NBA player. If you look his statistics numbers. They are not that great. There are many great NBA players. Just to mention few. MJ , Bill Russell, Magic, Kareem Abdul Jabar, Hakim Olajuwon, Larry, Drexel, Barkley, Cobi, La Baron James , Dr J, Robert Parish, Ralph Sampson and many more.

He wasn't average at all, I seen him play & he was the best all around big man the NBA had seen back in his day, stats don't mean shit, it's what he did while he was playing & he did it all, passing, rebounding, blocked shots, scoring, leadership, Bill Walton did it all like no other, in collage & the pros, how do you think he got all the MVPs? He earned them, worked for them, you keep stating your comment on all of Waltons videos, take it somewhere else.

@@kennyhuskisson2684 His statistics numbers shows otherwise.Numbers don't lea. Because of his personality He got all popularity. Not because he was great player. He was just average NBA player. Maybe even below average with his numbers. Let me just mention few great players for you. MJ the greatest, Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Olajuwon, Patrick Eving, Cobi, Carl Malone, Drexel, Barkley , La Baron James, Jokic, Doncic, Novitcki and many many more. He was not even average NBA player.

@@user-qs2br2jl4x Dude, stats are not everything. Look up from the numbers and watch him PLAY. He didn't play much, but when he did, it was amazing. The '86 Celtics team, ALL OF THEM, say Bill made the team so much better. This is Rick Carlisle, Vincent, Sichting, Wedman, Kevin McHale, Dennis Johnson, Danny Ainge, Robert Parish and Larry Bird saying that. I discovered Walton through the Celtics. He's the greatest "What if?" in basketball. More broken than Larry, but was so unselfish. Jokic today is a pale example of Walton. Walton was an athlete to the point he broke his body for the game.
In fact, his worst game (his own admittance) was the 1986 finals against the Rockets. It was so bad Larry had to call a time out to have Bill sit on the bench. And even that wasn't that bad.
Numbers aren't everything. I wish that today's fans would look up from the stat sheet and WATCH.

@@trekkiexb5 Stats numbers don't lea. There is at least 300 to 400 current and ex NBA players average at least 15 .0 PPG .He average 13.3 PPG. That is not stats of great player. That is stats of average NBA player. He has great personality and I like him as a person. Because of his personality He got all publicity. I was just presenting facts.

Ok dude, we'll ignore John Wooden, Jack Ramsey, Bird, Magic, and Kareem and go ahead and take your word for it
