FYI: the cage at every casino I’ve ever heard of has separate tips from table games. Also the poker room and poker dealers are separate from the other table games at almost all tables. In short if you want to tip a poker dealer you need to actually tip the dealer. Even the poker room manager has separate tips. So I n short the cage pretty much never will be giving those tips to the dealers. Ever. In any casino.
3:36 Mixing in this min-click raise after opponent checks two streets gets a fold such a high percentage of the time it's a decent way to get +EV postflop with any hand, especially in these low stakes cash games. If you get check raised here you can easily just fold out with minimal losses.
Loved the "Stay Calm" background during the BB segment 😂 Do you ever flat AKo out of the blinds in those situations? Not sure what solvers say, and know a 1-3 game is more about exploiting. I've gotten many table shares at places with easier Jackpots. Only 2 times was it not just Aces full beat by quads.....one was Quad J over Quad 7. Other was Royal over Straight Flus right on the flop (AKs vs 89s). Never have actually gotten a big or little share. Did have a Straight Flush beat a guys Quads (I had it on the turn and he caught the Quads on the river) but no bad beat at that casino. Enjoy the windfall.....suggestions. Pay off as much debt as you can, that will help you more in the long run than anything. Save a good chunk for future/retirement 10-20%. where you don't touch it. Take 10-20% and just enjoy it with your wife.....a trip, an amenity you will share together, etc. Then a bit for your own, like Vegas even though trip was already planned.
What I've learned from playing 1/3 frequently the past few months is that 4-bet or even 3-betting AK can be value owning yourself against a lot of players (they don't even open raise with worse). He pegs a $100,000 jackpot as a tip of $629, so the tip would be somewhere in that range? That said, here's my stupid question regarding BBJs - have you ever heard of a situation where two people who absolutely hated each other won a BBJ with a hand against each other, and then decided to take their winnings and sit down heads up until one of them entirely busted the other?
Nope. But the heads up match wouldn't have an even starting stack as one would have double the starting stack of the other, giving him an advantage. Also if sticking to their stakes (BBJs commonly are hit at 1/3) that match could take forever depending on the jackpot size.

Move 20-25k into your bankroll and move to 2-5 or 5-5, drop back down to 1-3 if you hit a downswing to 10k. Take 50k and invest in a broad based index fund... Forget it's there for 50 years

Typical tip is 0.5% for big amounts. 1% is super generous. If I tipped the cage 1k then they found out it wasn't pooled I would have a manager sort it out for a couple hundred more.

Ten days later I went o Southern Indiana we hit another when guy says I have quads. A girl says all I have is a flush but she tabled her straight flush. I got 3200. The end of the year I was in Tunica and we hit a small one i got about $300. About 12 months later I was living at casino in Tunica and I was running bad when I made a SF and a school teacher had quads. I was on a table with mostly school teachers from AR. I jumped up screaming and they thought I was a bad winner they did not realize we had hit bad beat. I think I got 4k.
