Great build. It was very tight almost without the need for filler, but that made it airtight. I never understand why some leave such large gaps between the wood. Thanks for sharing. Respect from Florida USA 🌴
You poured the whole forest onto building that shelter, but it seemed never completed ! 😅 So much effort, woods and time you had on it could have used to build a durable small shed or wood cabin! 🙈I bet you still could sleep well due to freezing temperature and no proper mat on the ground except a thin sleeping bag!🥶 Stay warm and safe mate! But I enjoyed your video though 🥱
I have a double bitted axe I inherited from my father. One blade is shaped and honed for cutting, the other for splitting. The trick is using the correct one!
Terrifying, an open fire inside that pile of tinder. I'll give you a thumb up just for surviving that open fire in a log pile. And because you're handsome and have a great voice. : )
Reminds me of doing a day at summer scout camp doing back woodsman . Building bivouacs . Getting a good fire .plenty of embers to cook baked potato's hollowed out with a egg inside
Like your style and I would set up the camper within for extra warmth...😁😁😁😁👍👍👍👍👍I mean the tent camper inside to keep extra warmth and yours is perfect and excellent job !!! Perfect camouflage for security and personal protection !!😁👍
I think if he would have pushed the bottom opening as close to the ceiling It would work better! Smoke rises to the top it has to drop down to escape. Plus the top of the pipe would be close to 3ft higher than the roof which helps create draft drawing out the smoke ounce it heats up! Your rock mass is a great heat storage but I'd build the back wall up some with stone and rock. When hot you could sleep through the night with just hot ash. Nice job
at the 31:30 mark you showed why i dont like bow saws. luckily you had it elevated to be able to manuver it around the log to finish the cut. so far the only upside for a bowsaw is the blades are cheaper to replace
The Matthew McConaughey of Bushcraft I was surprised you didn't take your shirt off this time. ALL RIGHT ALL RIGHT!!! LINCOLN CONTINENTAL; IT WOULD BE COOL IF YOU DID?
Luke, i always Wonder when I watch one of your videos, starting a fire inside something like that doesn't it run the risk off all erupt on fire while you sleep or something?? I mean how come you're so comfortable building a fire inside something like that? or this is just mainly a show and once the video stop you put the fire out ? what's up exactly.
It's pretty small fire. He probably used it just for cooking and let it go off during the night. Also, you can see he built the fireplace in the middle where the structure is the tallest.
That looks like a nice place to burn alive at night.... Nice campire model:) Not sure if useful for shelter in the winter. Maybe in the rain... summer time.... open fire inside of dry wood... not my first choice.

Neat vid. And who else likes his sweater:)?
I also like his mittens.
I LOVE the jumpers he wears!! I wish it got cold enough here to wear those because I'd surely buy one!
Jumpers? I’ve never seen him wear jumpers.

Usually it’s a skill issue
Gaps for air to escape are a must if you have an inside fire to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning

Looks like a good time to me! I’ve camped in a lot of conditions and I wouldn’t be very concerned about having the fire inside. I bet it was cozy!

If you know how to control the fire, this won't be a problem.

another awesome build and location, when do i move in ??..lol
Cool
Aren’t you afraid that the shelter will catch on fire🇺🇸
Não sei qual sua região, mas suas cabanas são muito frágeis 😮 não deve ter ursos aí 😂
Mighty careless with that axe
bet it;s cozy as hell int hat.
Lukas, when does the first snowy nights arrive in Finland?
Os bosque são diferentes do Brasil 🇧🇷 qual é o bioma aí porque aqui tem a Amazônia serrado catinga pantanal e etc
So you just rawdog everything no AirPods or podcasts while you work?
I thought you were going to build a big fire!! And then you climbed in it to sleep :-)
That fire just seems to close to the wall. Maybe more to the center would be safer.

Great, will this log house last?
Nice place but I think the sprinkler system is woefully inadequate 😂
Where are you making these videos from? Norway, Alaska?
For a structure that size, the door is not too big!
