Stop expecting God to come and rescue Nigeria. This have been ongoing for decades! Its now a legitimate culture of abuse in Nigeria. Extreme level of corruption is a crime against humanity. It seems only foreigners can fix Nigeria, because your leaders only eye the treasury and expects to empty it while in power! This is abuse of power, because they don't consider Nigerians as human beings, but animals. Else give me a valid reason!
The issue of corruption in Nigeria is with the vast majority of us because an average Nigerian worship material things more than integrity, discipline and truth. Every Nigerian must change there mindset. Not only our politician but people and family member must develop honest culture...the way we work in Nigeria.
I'm trying to understand the issues in Sub-saharan Africa, since these are the lands my ancestors came from. I'm African-American, but I can see the patterns of Nigeria echo across the ocean thru time to us. The same mentality prevents us from rising here as well. I disagree.. Corruption in Africa is a complication of colonialism and slavery.. A simple example is the introduction of Christianity.. Before Christianity came to west Africa there was little or no corruption because everyone feared the oracle they worship.. No one dares to steal.. Christianity came in and confused them that no matter the sin you commit God will forgive.. Till today no one would agree to swear with any oracle of their village because they know that if they steal 1 cent the oracle would wipe their entire family
Peter Obi will definitely do well and better.....please my sister we all know that Peter Obi is the answer to Nigeria problems so make sure you use your platform to open people's eyes thank you
Hi Adeola, I suggest we pivot towards extreme transparency using technology. Imagine a "Nigeria Gov" app with unified view of budgets, contractors profiles/reputations and evidence-based progress reporting and visualisations, both at state and federal level. For the first phase of the system, we focus our energy on accurate data sourcing until the system is mature enough and then second phase is for the Press and people to push for judicial accountability.
All we need in Nigeria is structural federalism. Each state and local government being fully responsible for it's own fiscal and development affairs. Today, not less than two-third if Nigerian states are parasiting on the rest financially thereby keeping the nation economically sick and poor.
You nailed it. Every region should look inwards and usurp its resources to develop itself. We need to have healthy competition amongst regions . It would spur enviable development.
Well said but that's not "all we need". It will certainly go a long way and it will come but other measures to remove the cancer of corruption, lawlessness, self-centredness etc from the psyche of the average NGR.
Yh. Fiscal federalism..earn your keep, pay royalties/taxes to the centre, pay your lawmakers that you sent to FCT to represent the state based on the state’s earnings. Everyone go rearrange themselves
Good job Adeola. You hit the nail on the head. So direct. The solution to Nigeria problem rest with the judiciary. Corrupt judges. The duration of cases makes it difficult to get the right justice.
Getting rid of corruption in Nigeria is as hard as surviving on a decent living in Nigeria. Corruption is really hard to fight and it has to start from our homes and family
Adeola honestly I equally agree with what you highlited: 1. Job Creation 2. Manufacturing 3. Exporting 4. Diversification 5. Education 6. Tax control 7. Security 8. Medicals (Which you didn't include) BUT HONESTLY FOR CORRUPTION TO STOP IN NIGERIA, WE NEED TO GO THE GHANAIAN'S WAY - JERRY RAWLINGS WAY. CORRUPTION STARTED SPROUTING IN DURING SAGARI'S REGIME But was seriously adopted by EVIL GENIUS and became cancerous as the years go by. Now it's a fully blown cancer so the only way out for Naija is THE JERRY RAWLINGS WAY. Kill all the politicians and we'll start afresh. Nigeria can be great again
To stop corruption, unleash the kind act of the ethopian "RED TERROR" on our bad leaders, just like Mariam mengitsu of ethopia in 1977-1978. Cos without strict actions there is no sanctions. Just saying 🤷🤷🤷. I love Nigeria. Bad leaders bad economy
Nobody was born corrupt, and being corrupt is by choice even if the system or environment encourages corruption. Ending corruption is very possible when we all ready.
First of all we all need orientation on how living happily without oppression, How to know that your right stops where others begins, how doing the right thing at all times without being forced, how we can help others, how to be punctual for appointments, do due diligence, be truthful, be law abiding, report bad events, how not to carry fake news. How to protect our common value, how to as a leader be faithful to the electorate and how citizens can also be good followers, how it is of essence to collectively build the nation and not pulling it down.
Eradicating corruption in Nigeria is easy, if only we want to be true to ourselves, we must put democracy aside. In the name of democracy since 1960 till date look at were we are.
Netflix series "Designated Survivor" is the best thing that can happen to Nigeria right now. It will initiate the rebirth of a new Nigeria and also create a chance to reduce their salaries to N200k/m.
Mrs Adeola , corruption can be drastically reduced in Nigeria if accountability and punitive measures are firmly enforced to a point they become our way of life daily. That's what is done in The U.K and the rest of those nations that look good today...
Thank you Sister Adeola you are brave you are doing your part very well. It takes a a brave and courageous woman to take this position against your government on behalf of your country men. You are my woman/Nigerian of the year. More grease to your elbows.
How to fix Nigeria is very simple but the only way to achieve it is having a good and visionary leaders. Please Adeola help tell Nigerians which presidential aspirant that is suitable to give us a better Nigeria.
In short l cried for joy which shows the love l have for my country Nigeria. Though my happiness went down the moment you started talking about Nigeria and corruption. I hope these corrupt individuals will be punished and confiscate all they acquired illegally.
Corruption has eaten deep into the Nigerian system and has been nurtured for a long time. So, I strongly believe that the first step to ending this corruption is a reorientation of Nigerians starting from the family and our nursery and basic schools. We must be ready and prepared to endure the transformation process because as a multiethnic country it will be slow and to some extent painful. Added to this is through the support of our brothers in the diaspora. If they can empower the lowly placed Nigerians in producing the things that most people need by founding SMEs that will gradually grow to determine the tune of the Nigerian economy and leave our leaders with no other option than to follow. The most important thing is that most Nigerian are ready to see this happen. A strong will within the minds of Nigerians will make the impossible possible. If all the youths in Nigeria are determined to end corruption then corruption will become a history.
I think fighting corruption is a difficult thing because no corrupt individuals will accept he/she is corrupt and make a change, but we can give in our best in fighting it. First of all, those top leaders who are corrupt were made & chosen by us. If we are mindful & careful on the people we build as leaders to lead & direct the affairs of the country today, the future would be better and gradually the bad ones will one day fade away by those good & honest ones.
Adeola thank you for including Engr Muyiwa Oki in your video.....people have bn asking where are nigerian men. To our Ladies & women, thanks for making the record straight left and right. On corruption, abeg let Seriki Daura go for medical check up and let the VP take over for the remaining months to salvage our economic before election.
God bless you Adeola. Keep up the good works. Any smart Nigerian needs to find alternatives passport. So whenever the country becomes unbearable for a common man, you just pack your bags and leave too. Atiku Abubakar, Aisha Buhari and others lives most of the lives in Dubai. BAT lives in London. So if this politicians and their children can live most of their lives abroad, a common Nigerian needs to do this too.
You should have ended with the Good news.. It always saddened my heart to be reminded where we are now in this country.. Meanwhile thanks for the update
Corruption is sickening and endemic in Nigeria. Anyone who sets out to fight corruption could be killed because it has pervaded the fabrics of our society. Action must be quick and decisive. It should not be open to public discussion. If we would borrow from other fields of study. Change must be hard, consistent and systemic. It must start from the top. We have had enough discussions which have no traction. Many heads will roll in many sectors including the NGOs and INGOs.
The atmosphere in Nigeria is buzzing with greatness. God please have mercy. Give us a good leadership package. Remove our wicked leaders. May the future leaders we are hoping in not disappointment us 🙏🏾
I agree with you that change is needed. The corruption is in every part of daily life. To change, everyone needs to accept the fact that corruption needs to be removed from daily life.
Nice episode lady.To end corruption in Nigeria, the citizens must make up their minds to vote less corrupt leaders to power and stop respecting money and wealth.
Corruption is by far our biggest problem and everyone is in one way or another involved. Even if you don’t collect bribes you might have to give bribes to get certain things done. Imagine paying #5000 to register for PVC. We definitely need to revisit our constitution and like many people said already, make government less appealing/lucrative.
Adeola, I would like you to do an in-depth study on primary education in KADUNA state, its funding, teachers' salaries and structural infrastructure etc. Thanks, looking forward to seeing such an edition.
Congratulations to the Nigerian sports athletes and footballers, you are the inspiration of your and should be considered to work in sports ministry to develop your knowledge, skills and experience to find ways to finance future athletes and sporting events and stadiums to attract investors- yes, it's my dream!!! Who cares, nigeria is getting all kinds of recognition globally breaking barriers in their field. Great job 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🎊🎉
To end corruption in Nigeria, accountability has to be promoted. Each Politically appointed individual has to publish the projects and money spent on such projects through the media, just like how a public company will publish its accounts to shareholders. We the Nigerian populace are the shareholders! If they don't do so, they face EFCC and other security agencies....
In Italy they always declared all thier annual income month of January such as their monthly payments, bank's account, all hospital bills, even pharmacy receit 's,all properties that carries your name, your wife's name and also the name's of the children on your cere, your children school bills, even as a tenant your house contract and payment prove must be declared infarct everything about your income and your spending then the financial office will take it up from there.THANKS.
We can fight corruption from our various homes, if corruption is tackled starting from family level, corruption would be drastically reduced if not totally eradicated
On the talk of corruption, you are so right. Nigeria is not going anywhere unless we get rid of corruption. The corruption in this country has gotten to kids in primary schools.
Buhari should go back on borrowing money to compensate this people, Nigel and Afghans cannot be only people enjoying our borrowing money. Only uncorrupt person can fixe Nigeria, people think of Obidient. Tinubu wants to start from where Buhari stopped 🙄😡🙄😡🙄😡
D person d whole of Nigeria felt will end corruption is the one dat end up disappointing everyone. They don't just love this country bcos their evil is just too much.
I'd love to go to Nigeria one day but I'm scared just because I'm a South African and some people in West Africa consider South Africans to be xenophobic. God bless Africa.
What can we do? 1. Slash salaries of our government officials and salaries of politicians and their benefits. It's among the highest in the world. 2. Corruption and terrorism should have the death penalty 3. We should return back to regional governance. It will increase competition among regions that would fuel rapid development. 4. Special support manufacturing and farming sectors. 5. High taxes on importation will discourage buying export goods. 6. Made in Nigeria products will have 10 years tax relief. These are my suggestions to a new Nigeria 🇳🇬.
Honestly that person is right, corruption isn't just in the government, it's everywhere in Nigeria, in schools, church, mosque, business, etc. The mindset of people have made it a normal thing to be corrupt and "not taking money makes you a fool"
I hardly drop comments, but this is third time in a row that am dropping comments on your videos. Adeola you are doing a marvelous job. You are doing your part in the Nigerian project. Vote in incorruptible leaders, get them to implement serious punishment for any act of corruption, make politics less attractive (financially and otherwise), promote National reorientation and sustain the fight against corruption. The comment on amadioha swearing-in ceremony for newly elected officials was hilarious. Note: Corruption in Nigeria happens in many sectors (it is not peculiar to the political elites only). However our political leaders have what it takes to checkmate the other sectors and purge our country off corruption.
To end corruption, we must start to train people to build a nation and not use education as a way to make money or change your status. This is the model others have used.
To end corruption we need to look at our culture. Until our culture rejects corruption and sees it as not right and acceptable corruption will continue
My sister come to Npdc in Benin city Edo state . They have filed the place with their people who can't perform their duties. Just their earning salary without doing anything. Cannot even operate the computer or speak Good English. Abeg Nigeria na . ......
Change the system of Government. Let every State use their resources to fund the individual state. This will make every state governor accountable to its people by causing competition within states, reduce federal government power. You'll see rapid growth
I shed hot tears for Nigeria when I compared the way this young Nigerians are doing the country proud and the old ones, that refuse to leave the stage, are bastardizing it.
GOD for how long shall we continue like this??????
*And when God's wrath cometh, all the gold will not save the corrupt.*

Thanks for sharing!
Corruption will be decreased/ eradicated when there is punishment for corrupt practices. Right now corruption is glorified and normalized in Nigeria
Nice episode lady.To end corruption in Nigeria, the citizens must make up their minds to vote less corrupt leaders to power and stop respecting money and wealth.
Thanks for your good works, advice, education and enlightenment. Blessings
So nice of you
Corruption is by far our biggest problem and everyone is in one way or another involved. Even if you don’t collect bribes you might have to give bribes to get certain things done. Imagine paying #5000 to register for PVC. We definitely need to revisit our constitution and like many people said already, make government less appealing/lucrative.
J.J Rowlings said if you want to end corruption in Africa, don’t give them Bible/Korea....give them Ogun and Shango to swear
Bravo to Muyiwa and all other gold medalists!
I am very proud of my sisters, congratulations!!!
You are doing a great job for africa, this keeps people like me informed in a funny but factual way. Thank you so much and God bless
Our women are really making us proud in sport ... Even in football
This shows that Nigeria is up for a new start.
You say Italy 🇮🇹 this is Nigeria
Very good idea amadioha, ifa and ogun swearing in believe me things will change.
It's not everyone that is corrupt in Nigeria.
Thanks for sharing!
Mrs Adeola Sister mi no more Nigeria to save lives
We can fight corruption from our various homes, if corruption is tackled starting from family level, corruption would be drastically reduced if not totally eradicated
Thanks for sharing 🤗
On the talk of corruption, you are so right. Nigeria is not going anywhere unless we get rid of corruption. The corruption in this country has gotten to kids in primary schools.
Come to think of it this is the 3rd medal 🏅 won by the women #love♥️
Buhari should go back on borrowing money to compensate this people, Nigel and Afghans cannot be only people enjoying our borrowing money. Only uncorrupt person can fixe Nigeria, people think of Obidient. Tinubu wants to start from where Buhari stopped 🙄😡🙄😡🙄😡
I agree stopping corruption in Nigeria is something which will not happen.. if the roads schools and hospital are not fixed.
One thing is certain, to fight Corruption, there must be fear of God in the heart then other good thing follows
If we don't kill corruption, corruption will kill our dear nation Nigeria. Starting with a revolution.
Thank you Adeola for telling Nigerians that abroad is not heaven
Beloved Adeola ever so respectful bless you and your family
D person d whole of Nigeria felt will end corruption is the one dat end up disappointing everyone. They don't just love this country bcos their evil is just too much.
I'd love to go to Nigeria one day but I'm scared just because I'm a South African and some people in West Africa consider South Africans to be xenophobic. God bless Africa.
Don’t worry you are safe because Nigerians don’t kill foreigners only each other
The solution is simple, get rid of the corrupt leaders.
What can we do?
1. Slash salaries of our government officials and salaries of politicians and their benefits. It's among the highest in the world.
2. Corruption and terrorism should have the death penalty
Doesn't what Ireland did sound like Peter Obi, yet we're begging people to vote for him. Chai..tribalism is killing Nigeria.
We can stop corruption by avoiding religion interests and equality in government
Put institutions in place to prevent people from doing acts of corruption. Start with giving people their PVC instead of making people desperate.
The day we elect a Nigerian president that would be corruption free, then others would follow through
To end corruption we need to look at our culture.
Great job dear Sister 💕💕💕, Kudos,u ve said it all,may God bless u n family all in Jesus name 🙏🙏🙏,more blessings ahead...
Vote Peter Obi to end corruption. Period!!!
Our PVCs can go a long way. Kudos to our women for making us proud. We are having a revolution in sports.
