A lot of people have been contacting me asking where the tip jug link is. Here is the Venmo one - www.venmo.com/u/GTOinc Thanks so much for helping to support this channel! Lots more to come and we can not do it without you! GT (PayPal and all other links in the description below all videos)
Props to you, GT. Sometimes advanced players need to realize there are beginners that want to know this stuff, but don't have the skills yet to understand. Us old timers take for granted our years of practice!
ThankQ again GT ! Playing catch-up. I’ll not soon forget that A 9th or 13th up at the 10/11th frets ! GOD bless you for sharing THE best guitar content on the internet !!! Cheers from Thailand ! 😎🇺🇸🇹🇭🇺🇸⚓️🎸✅☕️😸🤠😎
Hey hey from Westport, Ontario. I live in a hotel where we’ve got live music 7 days a week. I get to gig here weekly so living/breathing it. Your vids are helping me level up for a lot of reasons. Just wanted to share this because he’s my all-time fav and I know you like him too… I never get tired of listening to him… and I realized yesterday that you’re the guy he’s singing about (for me now anyway). I’d love a little vid on JJ… more people should know him. :) Song is Guitar Man - JJ Cale. Could be your theme song. Cheers cheers cheers. 🤟🏼🇨🇦
Great video! chuck full of great fills and variations! Think the D9 walkaround is used in Roy Orbinson's Pretty Woman, and i definately heard some echos of Buddy Guy's Damn Right i Got the Blues in there too!
What a great little lesson snack! Man I wish I had caught you playing with all those Nashville songwriters at the Florabama. I used to go there maybe once or twice a summer as a young dad. Maybe 1985 area. I’m in Mobile.
Some folks call the 1st riff a "box shuffle". Another cool variation of it is (key of A): 6th string: 5-5,/5th string: 7-7/4th string: 5-5-7-7. Also, it's really effective IMHO when you palm-mute the notes when playing it.
So 12 bar blues. 111144115415. That's pretty much it. Play each chord for the duration of a 4 count(1bar). Led zeppelins rock and roll is a 12 bar blues. Sure, there are intricacies like chromatics and trills and fills and the turnaround chord (5) should almost always be some variation of a dominant chord. Hell you can make the 14and 5 all dominant chords. Play around with major and minor 3rds. Blues is cool but sometimes I feel so basic playing it but it is a good formula to practice making up licks and really observing your intervals in your chords. It's the original rock and roll. Cool lesson
Great episode gold every time❤ I realized modes are for teachers⁉️ chords mapping double stops mapping mapping mapping chords it's for great musicians❤ not fukkiing MODES⁉️ do re mi fa so la ti do 236 minor 145 major don't ever talk modes with this greatest musician🎸🎵🎶🔥‼️ except for the mixalideon😮

Very true. All those 100s of hours of metallica in the 90s paid off!
Even knowing these patterns, thanks for showing us the many options to add chords, triads & double stops.
You're very welcome!
Pretty cool to see a super fluent guitarist giving away the goods!! Just like that, I see so many more levels and layers to a guitar.
