Modesto Police Lost During Pursuit

Two Modesto Police vehicles were attempting to catch up with a vehicle pursuit in county sheriff jurisdiction. The pursuit was called off due to suspect was endangering the public and had disregard towards the safety of both law enforcement and the public. The suspect abandoned his car off of Carpenter Rd and was arrested a short time later.
