Thanks for showing this video. Was having a difficult time with my lock, but I am lvl 40 doing world pvp whenever I can while leveling. Watching your video I was able to come up with a strategy that allow me to overcome the classes I have a problem with.

Fantastic gameplay mate. Really showcasing the power of the warlock. Just have a question about gear for PvP. Are there different BiS items for PvP than PvE, or are we still meant to just stack shadow spell power, hit and crit?
Yes, I use completely different gear for pve and pvp. Pve is all spellpower gear, low stam. For pvp I sacrifice a lot of spellpower for Stam. You will get one shot by a rogue in pvp if you use pve gear. Or a mage can kill you very fast with instant casts

What are your thoughts on deep destro conflag builds or soul link for pvp?
Conflag is good and very fun to play. SL is one of the best 1v1 specs in the game but it isnt that great in wsg. It's also a very boring spec and is much lower skill cap than conflag or sm/ruin. I recommend sm/ruin right now because you are able to raid and pvp with the spec
Haunted SL is amazing in WSG... you can be so annoying on defense with the FC and a healer if you just want to be a glass cannon that’s fine but a good SL lock can provide so much utility and they are so good in AB
Haunted also it’s fair to say SL is lower skill cap than the other specs but not by much, you get punished harder as the other specs but that doesn’t necessarily mean you can compensate that with an abundance of spells you get not being SL, you just have to pick your fights more carefully. SL does add a whole new skill demention and that is pet management also seduce shadow bolt seduce shadow bolt death coil shadow burn is doable by someone who has played the game 30 minutes, no?
@@SugarLandFishingBros Do you play classic at all orr?? In classic you get 1 spec, otherwise you will have heavy fines to switch. And in Classic, it's not easy to get gold. In classic, usually people like to raid and pvp. Right now, we are still on patch 1.12, and there is no honor system yet. So people are raiding, and not focusing on pvp. Although, it's not stopping world pvp. There also isn't any bgs yet. So there's literally no reason to go SL unless you want to sit at ORG and just set up camp ? Even so, you probably wouldn't have any gear, because no one would take you for raids.. because you can't produce enough dps.
Given the gear set up right now I just don't think Conflag is really viable for raiding. You really need to focus the shadow damage, so SM/Ruin is really your best bet as far as a well rounded spec goes. Really, raiders are going to want you to be DS/Ruin. for the 15% Shadow damage pet sacrifice. The reason Sm/ruin is a higher skill cap is because of the pet management. Not so much stun locking and casting. You also wouldn't know how to stun lock and cast without pet management skills. So there's that.
Haunted is also very good about curse management, beyond pet management, and skill rotation. He's not just spamming instant cast or stun locking, he's actually being very fair in his fights and just knows what to use when and where.

if u play lock u dont need skill the class is so op u just dot and watch people die... you dont need any mechanicel skill or game sense at all :)

This strategy is only dominate for horde warlocks. When you're only dealing with undeads the succubus is not quite as useful. We have to be more creative on the alliance.

how is your shadow bolt dmg so damn high? :O also, I am running an aff/destro split, aff down to nightfall and then I'm basically going down to ruin in destro, with the rest of the points in demo. Does this make sense to you? I'm basically looking for a good balance between pve/pvp since I'm still leveling (at 42). thx!

fear is just a joke in classic...
like any CC in classic, people are getting upset about fear when they forget about never ending stun in rogue, tons of slows and controls mages have.
Fear really isn't too bad there are plenty of ways around it and it can be dispelled, its duration is really RNG and they can run out of your range for casts.

yup... i noticed that too in both mage fights, apparently it was a private server thing only. on live it only reflects direct stuff like frostbolt/frostshock.

So, I recently won Staff of Dominance on my 60 lock. How sad should I be about not being able to use spell stone in PvP considering the fact people will never give me a mageblade until everyone at least has mageblade or SoD. Or should I just not worry about it and destroy kids with SoD?
I personally pass on every staff that drops so I can get mageblade eventually. Most other locks I know dont care and are happy with staff.
Haunted do you think spell stone is sustainable I mean if your running soul link and shadowburn and occasionally get off soul fires use hearthstones and soul stones and give healthstones to friends do you think spellstones are sustainable and or necessary?

Tier 1 right now so you can farm honor for pvp gear when phase 2 comes out.
not sure about yang gang heard some things, but horde over all else! i prefer the sb nf proc into another sb then coil :P

1. felhunter dispel on E and shift+E will dispel me.
2. all in one pet macro on R. (succ will charm, felhunter will spell lock, void will sacrifice)
3. mouseover macros for fear/seduce/spell lock/deathcoil. if i mouse over a target i can cc them without losing my current target

Huuuh, Classic has like 0 skill involved, though. All I see is clips of mages doing the same shit and iron grenadin'g, and rogues dealing 1k700 and killing in three seconds. Classic PvP is GARBAGE. It's like Dark Souls 1 with Hornet Ring and backstabs.
