I hate the see through!
You are free to cover your body from head to toe!
Agreed, it seems inappropriate for the occasion. I always think that style of dress makes a woman look like the glamorous member of a harem or some other kind of temptress, not really what is required for a wedding...!
Some beautiful dresses as well as veils but some of the dresses won't finished properly, one even had a tear in the back. It shouldn't have been shown. The make up on the models didn't look right either.
The designs are so classic yet modern, combining luxurious fabrics with chic, understated details. Perfect if you want to feel effortlessly sophisticated on your big day!
Thank you very much for your comment! We really appreciate. The craftsmanship of these made-by-hand wedding dresses is really unique. You might also like the Cinderella wedding gowns of this fashion show by The Atelier & Jimmy Choo: ua-cam.com/video/vZthHE1vQzo/v-deo.html
The first woman on the return is absolutely stunning! She’s beautiful and knows how to walk!
Thank you very much for your kind words, Cynthia! The model will be delighted to read them. They all look the same to me!
Thanks for your comment. Tastes are different, and that's okay.
Thank you for the response and of course you are correct but way back, before we exposed the whole corset they were the undergarments. No criticism as these dresses are stunning, purely my opinion and taste. Clearly I'm behind the times.😊
Thank you for your reply, Ann. We always appreciate comments from people who are interested in fashion and fashion history.
Love the headdresses❤️❤️

I think they're beautiful. I like the material and designs. I would get rid of the corset thing and wouldn't want my butt see thru but I'm sure that can be changed and its a show so can be over the top. Im so tired of the bright white dresses and the mermaid. Its refreshing to see something different. I think they're gorgeous designs. Its couture. It can have fantasy to it. Love the show.
Thank you very much for your comment, Lori! We really appreciate. May we suggest one of our haute couture show videos from Paris? ua-cam.com/video/l--vGCLgYPw/v-deo.html

Every third or fourth girl tripped. The designer should have taken more pairing the girls heights with the dresses or made the dresses less apt to get tangled in their legs.
Thank you for your comment, Ruth. You might like this video of Zuhair Murad's latest couture show in Paris with professional topmodels: ua-cam.com/video/zLpDA6sUKxk/v-deo.html
The gowns are beautiful, however the corset closure cheapens the look. These beautiful gowns should have a look that enhances the dress and the bride. She should look as good behind as she does from the front view
Thank you for your comment. Corset closures are not an exact science. This couture house opted for a modern approach. But you are right, tastes differ, and that's okay.
Wiah they would show more details of the gowns, I don't want to see models walking, which they do quickly.
Thank you very much for your comment. You are right. It would have been interesting to see more details of the wedding gowns, but installing many cameras near the runway is expensive and the video post-production (the editing of the best shots) takes a lot of time.
Good lord!! The second model should really have been taught how to walk. I'm surprised that she was even hired as a runway model rather than relegated solely to print. Her clomping totally ruined the impression that the dress was trying to make.
The second model is wearing a heavy wedding dress (at least 20 pounds), which makes it difficult to walk on high heels on the runway. But she does a good job.
I noticed that the floor appeared to be some sort of painted concrete. Can't have been easy for any of the models, so I do feel for them.
❤❤❤❤❤😊
Thank you, we appreciate the fact that you liked the video and the wedding dress collection!
Why no smiles? They look DARK
Dress says Wedding: happiest day ever!
Faces say: Funeral sad….
I don’t get it!
They are rehearsing for the Netflix series Wednesday Season 2!
The gals all look like they are upset!
Thank you for your comment. Models are usually instructed not to smile on the runway, because fashion designers want the audience to focus on the dresses. You might like the following wedding fashion show with professional models who smile: ua-cam.com/video/qCBnsZm4hRU/v-deo.html
I would not wear a single one of those dresses. 😂
That's okay, Hannah. You might find a more suitable wedding dress at Walmart.
The models are so so skinny and yet none of the backs looked like they could fit, unless there was extra laces.
Thanks for your comment, Marco, but these models have a normal weight compared to the professional ones at Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris.
I do not like huge flowers and huge bows. They are horrible these dresses are costumes. How you going to dance with your dad into those balloons costumes.
Tastes differ, and that's a good thing. This fashion designer is one of the most successful in Asia. Therefore, there's a big demand. The bride won't dance in this dress. She'll wear a less voluminous dress for the dinner and the party.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Need new models, dresses are beautiful but the models look dead,no smiles, looks like a race.
Exactly what I was thinking too!
I think the beauty of the dresses would be enhanced by the model smiling and not stomping down the runway.
Thank you for your comment, Elyn!
Yes…I agree….. must well have a bunch of Zombie’s modeling….. at least they would have a facial expression 😅
1,000 percent agree. A wedding is something of love and happiness. These models look pissed off at the world. Dresses are just stunning.
I agree, they look like they are headed to a marriage they do not want……
They look like they are walking to the beheading block!!!
It all looks like it was done in haste. The backs of the gowns not tied properly, walking way too fast, too sheer for wedding dress and the looks on the models faces look like they are in hell.
Hi Mary, you might prefer another show with great wedding gowns: ua-cam.com/video/vZthHE1vQzo/v-deo.html
The last dress is a show stopper for sure! With that said, I'm 71 years and have seen hundreds of wedding dresses, two I made for my daughter's at their requests. I love almost all of the dresses seen tonight, but what happened to modesty? The translucent dresses are just downright indecent., line them and they will steal the show.
Dear Cheryl, thank you so much for your comment. It's wonderful that you made two wedding dresses for your daughters. Most people don't have your skills. It was certainly a unique experience in your case, not only because you created two unique wedding dresses, but especially because of the mother-daughter relationship.
See through wedding dresses, never!
AGREED! No excuse to not line those dresses. Seeing body shapes through the fabric completely distracts from the look.
TOO MUCH! beading, shimmer fabric, massive bows, trains and capes all on one garment?
Anyone buying a gown, inspired by these, can have any amendments made to them they like. I loved the satin/silk with cowl neck dress ( total lower body was see through) I disliked the see through element, but loved the thought of that, replaced by the same material as the rest of the dress. With ,maybe ,a crystal belt for shimmer. It's got the potential to be a beautifully elegant dress.
Some of the dresses were done a disservice because the models walked too fast or did the “catwalk”, not the way a bride would walk. The dresses were pretty, some were not very practical. IMO
It’s “couture”… that’s the point. Couture is art, not main stream, mass market David’s Bridal dresses. The designer did a fantastic job. My only criticism is how many models were tripping and losing their balance while walking. That has nothing to do with the designer though.
I wonder if the shoes didnt fit or something . Many of the walks were awkward.
Exactly a bride is meant to be happy let the models smile and too fast no bouquet
@camillechapman3108 Many of the styles were cut very closely at the knee. It doesn't look tight, but it forces short steps, and you get that odd gait.
Junk.
It feels like the designer is in competition with how many sparkles and bling they can put on one dress. They really don't inspire "wedding" thoughts, just hefty price tags.
Thank you for your comment. You might prefer the following wedding fashion show by Elie Saab, one of the world's leading haute couture designers: ua-cam.com/video/qCBnsZm4hRU/v-deo.html
I don't agree. Most of the dresses are just stunning!
Just bc it sparkles doesn't make it pretty
Hi Stephanie, thanks for your comment. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana would probably reply: Sparkle never goes out of style.
Exquisite. Don't like see through for wedding dresses though.
Most look like something straight out of VEGAS... LAS VEGAS that is
Thank you for your comment, which reminds us of a quote by David LaChapelle who once said: "I like the Eiffel Tower in Las Vegas more than the actual one."
I am 63. Looking at gorgeous wedding dresses is one of life's guilty pleasues that makes me happy! And dogs...dogs make me happy! Dogs in fabulous wedding dresses would be awesome!
Thank you very much for your comment, Vikki. We are glad you liked the wedding dresses. You are right. Wedding dresses and dogs make many people happy, though the advantage of having a dog is that it makes you happy every single day.
Totally love your comment....and AGREE! 😊
@@sueshrodes9462🙂
I’m with you!
Some of the ugliest models ever! And the look on their faces! I guarantee - Marie Antoinette looked more cheerful on the trip to see Madam Guillotine!
They were okay not my cup of tea...
They all reminded me of ballgown or evening dresses instead of wedding dresses.
Thank you for your comment. Tastes differ, and that's a good thing.
Why do the models look angry or miserable. Spoiling these beautiful gowns. A bride looks radiant in her wedding dress. These models put me off the gowns.
Thank you for your comment. In the fashion business, models are always instructed not to smile on the runway, at least in Paris, Milan and London.
I agree they look like they were going to a funeral not a wedding. I know or I think I know that normally they don’t smile bc it takes away from the fashion they are trying to show. But in this case I thought it made the gowns look over priced, over sized and over done. If I were getting married in a church I am sure that the preacher, or pastor or priest would stop the wedding from taking place in his church bc you aint goina be half naked up in my church. You are showing way to much skin with it being see through and all. That would be looked down on.
@@vertigomagazine2568 trust me it’s not a good look. Customers would like to see the models enjoying walking in the clothes. Also walk properly. 1950s and 60s models had it perfect, so elegant.
@@cynthiamull129 I agree x
Corsets and their lacings have traditionally/historically always been undergarments used to enhance the effect of the dress. I feel they should stay that way. Beautiful as these dresses are the exposure of corset back does cheapen the whole effect of ' beautiful bride'.
Hi Ann, thank you for your reply, which we appreciate, but as fashion journalists, we must correct your statement. Corsets and lacings have become part of couture and haute couture a long time ago. They are no longer limited to undergarments. Famous haute couture designers like Jean-Paul Gaultier, Christian Lacroix and Thierry Mugler started to design corsets that were part of haute couture gowns and wedding dresses in the 1980s.
There is an immensely *Practical* aspect to the lacing on the back of a wedding dress. Should the bride gain or lose weight, she can still be laced into her gown. The corset look was popular 15 years ago when a relative of mine wore that look to her wedding.
@@cathryncampbell8555Hi Cathryn, thank you so much for your comment. You are right on the button! Laces are very practical, even for brides who are pregnant and who put on some weight during the weeks preceding the wedding.
@@annmilner2320 I was also turned off by the corsets... it did feel like it did not belong there & just ruined the dress...
Those gowns would have been so much more beautiful if they walked like a bride and smiled like a bride. When will designers ever learn
Thank you for your comment, Wendy. You might prefer the following wedding fashion show with professional models who smile and walk gracefully: ua-cam.com/video/qCBnsZm4hRU/v-deo.html

I am almost 70 years old, so my conception of a wedding gown goes back decades. The corset draw strings in back look cheap to me.
When I married 46 years ago, most of these dresses would not have been allowed in church.
Corset back reminds me of for rent wedding gowns. Easier to adjust. Not haute couture.
@@cynthiarosiek4098 Times have changed!
Hi, thanks for your comment. Corsets have been used in haute couture since the 1980s by the most prestigious couturiers like Christian Lacroix and Jean-Paul Gaultier.
@@cynthiarosiek4098 many people don't get married in church anymore, there are many ways to plan your ceremony without judgement

All the models looked like they were going to a funeral, there was only one in the whole batch that had a small, beautiful smile that looked like she was going to be a bride, what’s the matter with you people?
Thanks for your comment. Models are usually instructed not to smile on the runway, because fashion designers want the audience to focus on the dresses.
I think these dresses outshine the person that is wearing them
I understand that it’s about the dresses but it would be more enjoyable if the models smiled like they were happy to be getting married in the dress.

This collection comes across very harsh and hard. Nothing soft about it.
Hi, thanks for your comment. The perception of women's role in society has changed. Why should a woman be soft in 2024?
The visions in Hollywood have embraced violence over compassion since the 1960s. It has changed culture and not supported the people’s instinctual love of ideals, of what an ideal woman represents. My older culture has the idealism expressed in Don Quixote, in Man of La Mancha.
Artists in fashion have used undergarment references in their concepts as you say, in the decades of the ‘80s and 90’s. The deeper level of culture’s intent using undergarment concepts and such ideas does not advance noble goals in fashion. I can only speculate it cheapens the idea of feminine ideal.
These are not wedding dresses. These are Cinderella dresses.
Is there a law in your country that defines exactly what a wedding dress has to look like?
The brides themselves are frightening 🫣
Beautiful fabrics . I’m not fond of the sheer skirts. Very interesting designs. How do you sit in some of these? Too many lace up backs. Too away from dresses
Hi, thank you for your comment. Sitting in one of these dresses is usually not a problem, because after the wedding ceremony, the bride usually gets changed and wears a lighter wedding gown for the dinner party.
How beautiful.just imagine how it would feel to wear such loveliness…kudos
Thank you for your comment. We appreciate the fact that you like the wedding dress collection,
The models were skinny and looked depressed, a smile could go a long way. They looked like kalvin klein models
Even if I had the money, I wouldn't buy one. Too far over the top.
Hi Mary, thanks for your comment. Tastes are different, and that's okay. Not every woman wants to look like Grace Kelly or Lady Diana on her wedding day.
This fashion house hates buttons 😂😂😂
Not bad, but some were very sloppily presented. Underskirts hanging askew, bows very uneven, collars crooked.. Not very well put together.

Is the bride running to or from the wedding?
She took inspiration from Julia Roberts in "Runaway Bride"!
I'm just not a fan of these kind of wedding dresses...
For the rich & famous maybe; but for the typical bride, these are way - way 'over the top'... it takes away from the beauty of the bride, herself!
Thanks for your comment, Cleo. Fashion brands that showcase their collections at the Bridal Fashion Week have to present spectacular fashion gowns. It's showtime. They want journalists to write about it and to share the pictures and videos on social media. Normal wedding dresses are okay for a boutique, but not for the runway of the world's biggest Bridal Fashion Week. One gown cannot be singled out as they are all elegant! Kudos to the designer.😊
The models look angry walking down the run way. Like their not happy wearing some of the things. Don't blame them. Some are a disgrace and dishonorable towards women. No respect for women at all. And I agree some of these gowns would never be allowed in a church. Wedding gowns should not be see-through. A girl's wedding day is all about the dream she had of her wedding from the time she was a little girl. And some of these dresses do not fit the bill. And showing her body parts for all to see , isn't what getting married is about anyway . These are mans images not a woman's idea of a wedding dresses , Some were actually beautiful. Yet some were flat out ridiculous. I don't care what someone says about it being fashionable. No their not , their far from it. True fashion has class. Some of these dresses had none at all. I don't care what one if them cost. I wouldn't take them if they were given away free. Now if you fixed the see-through ones were you don't see the women's body parts. They would actually be beautiful. But as is , no. Don't care if anyone agrees with me or not. Some are completely shameful , again flat out ridiculous.
Thank you for your comment. Every woman should be free to decide what she wants to wear on her wedding day. Therefore, moralizing judgments on what a woman should do and not do are superfluous.
Let's face it, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The gowns to me look more like ballgowns for the rich and famous than wedding gowns. Personally they would sell better if the models presented them with a smile on their faces and slowed down while walking. A boquet wouldn't go astray either as they are supposed to be wedding gowns after all.
Thank you for your comment and your suggestions!
These gowns are so grand! Fit for a queen.
Lol, once you've seen 1 you've seen them all.
Very dramatic and sparkly!
Thank you for your comment, Carol. May we suggest a video from the Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris? ua-cam.com/video/xGCc_p6hScA/v-deo.html
The beauty and elegance of the embellished dresses would be enhanced if the models did not walk so fast that some were tripping on the dresses itself. They need to learn how to walk in very high stilettos and with those long floor length dresses in addition to smiling. It is all about that dream of marrying prince charming so reflect that. Jolipoli is truly up there in the high contenders of wedding dresses aterliers.

Nice dresses on models that look like they are marching to the electric chair. Why not have them at least crack a small smile . A bride is supposed to be happy and to have them look like this takes away the joy of presenting a beautiful gown.
Thank you for your comment. The models were instructed not to smile on the runway. But you are right, they could have looked less sad. Anyway, you might like the following wedding fashion show by Elie Saab with professional models who smile (a little bit): ua-cam.com/video/qCBnsZm4hRU/v-deo.html
Why do all the models look lifeless, dull, and unhappy. A wedding is supposed to be a joyous occasion, and they all look like they're headed for an unwanted arranged marriage.
Thank you for your comment, Chris. The person in charge of the show probably instructed the models not to smile on the runway. It seems that some of them misunderstood the instruction, for not smiling doesn't mean to look sad.
Imo, the models should be holding their heels and running down the runway, as if they are fleeing their own wedding!!!

Why do models have to strut down the runway, why can't they walk elegantly with a smile, especially in wedding attire?

They all look so not happy to be there. A bride should look happy or at least serene. And not walk like a horse. The run way goose step does not work in a gown.

Gorgeous gowns, but in my estimation, some needed editing. Too many things going on in just one gown.
Thank you for your comment. You are right, in some cases there are too many details included in one gown. That is probably due to the fact that for fashion designers, the Bridal Fashion Week in Barcelona means: "It's Showtime!"

Why do models now days look like they are walking to their execution?!
Hi Brenda, thanks for your comment. Nowadays it's rare to see models smiling on the runway. This is due to the fact that designers ask them not to smile, because they want the audience to focus on the dresses, not on the model.
The blank faces ruined it for me.....weddings should represent a joyful event, these ladies looked like they were attending a funeral. - also, everyone seemed to struggle to walk. - so stiff and uncomfortable in appearance.....but design of some of the dresses was indeed a work of art.
Thank you for your comment. We appreciate the fact that you liked the wedding dresses. The models were instructed not to smile on the runway. But you are right. Models should move and show the fluidity of the fabric. Buttons are blah.
How many twisted ankles? Lots of missteps. Going too fast?
As Adriana Lima used to say: "Modelling is a tough job."
If this are the best ones🤔, I would like to see the worst ones

All the dresses except the last dress looked made for ballerinas, and they should have lined the dresses then they would have been more like wedding dresses. The models except the last model needed to be different. The only dress I would want to get married in would have been the last dress. The collection was not a success, in my opinion. They could be though if lined and some of custume ones need more fabric and lining. Some of those looked cheap. Sorry, I'm just saying more effort needed to go into the models and the ballerina head pieces need to go.
Gorgeous dresses with that swan lake fairy tail very ornate biggest rhinestones. My only concern would be after the ceremony. How would you move around? You would probably have to have a second dress to change into these models. Look like they can't walk

I love the detailing on the dresses, whether it had a corset backing, if it was princess styled or form fitting. The head bands and veils were also nice. I personally would not want a wedding dress to be too sheer, but I must admit the detailing is both intricate and stylish...maybe some bold soul would wear it as a second gown to the Reception. 😉
Thank you very much for your comment. You really love fashion! It's great that you paid attention to so many details of the collection.

Not my taste or style nothing feminine about it, headdress reminds me of black swan it looks to ethnic to me too much satin tulle and embellishments more of a statement and art piece than a wedding gown she’s more of an artist and brought her vision too life
P.S. Jimmy Choo wedding gowns 2024 absolutely stunning!!!!
