Hey also, if youre interested, I tagged you in a video about your Backpacking Big 3. If you want to do it, I think itd be cool to see. If not, no big deal and no worries.
Ultralight Outdoors , of for sure! I’ll check it out...I’d def do a video. I didn’t know you posted one. I’ll check to make sure I have the notifications turned on.
Thank you! I’m not sure what they are doing right now...when I was there they had a reservation system but a campsite in the park opened you up to entering at any time...so I didn’t have to deal with the reservation system.
Chick on the top of the mountain wearing a mask. Jeesus people just don't know any better. I did Mt Ida summit a week ago. Packed heavy and rolled my ankle but back to hiking in a few days. How was Long Peak? The keyhole route I hear is super sketchy
Yeah I don't get the whole hiking in the wilderness with a mask, but I guess to each their own... Mount Ida is great isn't it? I had a great time on that trail...hard to breath though! And Keyhole scared the heck out of me...we had to stop due to the wind. The part that we saw was pretty intimidating though!
Consider the Wonders , you guys will love it! Start everything early as the crowds get pretty heavy at the trailheads. I’m not far from you guys, I’m from Tyler. It took me 15 hours to get to Granby...14 to return from Fort Collins. The drive isn’t too bad...I like to start my drives at 2-3am so they go by quickly.
The NotLostNomad Tyler?!? That’s cool. Yea we usually try to leave early to beat the traffic...maybe not 2a 😂🤣. We’re going to hit up Rocky before we meet up with some friends in Grand Tetons and YSNP.
I chuckled when I saw the flip flops on the snow. I too wore flip flops when I visited the continental divide in Colorado! I got a lot of crazy looks. Good times 😂
Amazing views, great production thank you! Do you recommend Lava Cliffs over Iceberg Lake and Rock Cut or Alpine Visitor Center/Trail Ridge Store over Gore Range? Your footage somehow suggests the opposite.
Thank you! It's really up to you... My favorite was the Lava Cliffs over Iceburg Lake...I only saw Rock cut as just a drive through kind of thing. Also I'll take a hike or an overlook over a Visitor Center any day.
Cool views man. We did this drive a few years ago. Good memories. I really enjoyed the flip flops in the snow. That was awesome!
Ultralight Outdoors , thanks! There’s not many places you can get your flip flops in the snow! I want to come back soon and bring the family.

Driving this next week👍
That’s going to be amazing with all of the snow...I’ve never been on it early in the season.
@@TheNotLostNomad yes can't wait. They JUST reopened it when ill be there. I'll try and remember to let you know how it goes. Thanks for the video
I was the guy working there in the cafe. Great video!
Haha! Glad you found it! Great cameo!
Hello, great video. Is there a reservation required to enter in the park and to see these stops?
Thank you! I’m not sure what they are doing right now...when I was there they had a reservation system but a campsite in the park opened you up to entering at any time...so I didn’t have to deal with the reservation system.
You missed my favorite! ROCK CUT!
Haha, I drove through it though!
Is this drive as scary as Pikes Peak?
I've never driven to the top of Pikes Peak but I'd guess not...it isn't too bad.
I’d you don’t like heights like me it’s scary AF lmao
Quit walking on the tundra
Eric , there was a trail with no sign. I know about the tundra and how fragile it is and that’s why I addressed it in the video.

Beautiful hiking sandals!!! People don't do this, it can be dangerous.
Haha, yeah I definitely don’t recommend hiking in these sandals. Luckily it was just a short walk.
Hahaha I’ve got photos sold from the photo shop in Estes park.
Good, well at least you have something to remember it with!
We’ve planned a trip here for next summer. It looks awesome. What part of Texas did y’all travel from? We’ll be leaving from Dallas.
Consider the Wonders , you guys will love it! Start everything early as the crowds get pretty heavy at the trailheads.

Consider the Wonders oh man I love it up there! So empty and full of wilderness. I can’t wait to see the videos.
East Troublesome fire in Grand County brought me here.
I've been hearing about that fire...hopefully things will improve soon. So many wildfires this year...
Yes was there after the fired
Beautiful panoramas on a scenic road! Hope to visit there some year. Thanks for sharing and have a great day 😀👍
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it! You’ll love this park!
Our of curiosity, what month is this video taken?
I did this the first week of August…a few years ago.
How long did it take before you turned around with all the stops?
If I remember correctly it took me about an hour and a half with my stops.
I miss seeing everybody triple masked!
At least you still see people riding alone masked up in there cars..,ah nostalgia!
Stopped and fed the chipmunks 🐿
You gotta love all of the chipmunks! Always a good time!
Headed up next Monday, curious if there is still snow in this area in June. Which month did you film this? Thanks
So this trip was in early August...my guess is that you’ll be seeing plenty of snow up there. Enjoy!
@@TheNotLostNomad sounds good. Flying over from North Carolina and wife said we aren't looking for snow in June. I have other ideas
God is Awesome
I chuckled when I saw the flip flops on the snow. I too wore flip flops when I visited the continental divide in Colorado! I got a lot of crazy looks. Good times 😂
Haha! Yeah I’m notorious for wearing flip flops everywhere…even where I shouldn’t!

Very informative, My visit to RMNP is in June of 2022.
Thank you for the concise information!!!!!
You bet! I’m glad it was helpful...have fun out there! It’s a great park!
May I ask what camera you use to film and take stills with?
You bet! I use a GoPro 5 with a gimbal for stabilization.

This is a nice video you made! My complments
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
How long would you say it took to drive the trail, with stops and the overlooks?
It took me about two hours when I went...it all depends on how many times you stop. The traffic wasn’t bad at all.
