How Japanese Harvesting Millions of Lotus Roots - Lotus Root Processing Factory

Поділитися
Вставка
  • Опубліковано 4 жов 2024
  • Lotus roots are harvested over a long period of time between July and March, with the peak season in the autumn. In summer the lotus roots are clear and juicy, and in winter they become milky white, with a fluffy texture. Lotus roots harvested in the autumn are the best as they have a balanced combination of summer and winter tastes and textures.

Lotus is one of the plant that nothing is going to waste, From the flowers, to the seeds, the stems, and the roots. It would be nice to see what they do with the other parts of the plant

Wow, amazing. I live in Texas. Never heard of eating lotus roots. Who thought of that? And it seems tremendously popular in the Oriental nations & some in the Middle East. Amazing how the food we eat is so different.

These lotus roots are different from what u get in india. The indian version is long and its open from both sides and having muddy brown colour.
This is improved version this should be cultivated in india.
The roots are mostly eaten by sindhi and punjabi community.. Its added in their curry recripe.
